- Hello ladies and gentleman and welcome to Imperial Assault here on Bleeped up Productions. This has been a 2 year passion project of mine as I have been painting mini's, sorting out the sets and bringing in friends to help on the project.

Yay!!! This is what I always wanted playthroughs to be like. Well filmed up close of the painted minis. Sound effects. Music. Narration. Excellent Pacing. Close game. Its so thematic. Great great job.

Not very many IA campaign playthroughs come out these days, so I'm glad to see someone creating some new content. As someone who's played through many campaigns, I cringe over all the mistakes being made. Still, I remember that I made just as many during my first go through. There are some great resources out now that'll help if you want to get a better understanding of the rules. One in particular to mention is that heroes can only recover one strain from surges per attack. I'll keep an eye out for more videos and hope the mistakes disappear as you settle in to your stride.
Maybe you should make a video since you know so much.
Why do so many people concentrate on the negatives and not on the wonderful content and positives, seems to be a part of the modern condition :-(

Literally just brought Imperial Assault this week with two of the expansions (Bespin & Jabba) and this BR is exactly why got them.

Thanks for the video, it made gameplay more understandable for someone learning the game (yes I know, better late than never though, right?). You should add this to a playlist to make the rest of the campaign missions easier to find.

Great video. Loved the additional sound effects, graphics, pacing and roll and card display. Nice job explaining rules appliying to each roll and action smoothly. Beautiful minis. I wish my game group would return to this game.

Firstly - I wanted to say huge well done on creating this. I am looking at creating some battle reports myself for both Imperial Assault and Journeys in Middle Earth and you have given me a lot to think about on the production quality!

I applaud your level of commitment. Many have pointed out rule that you may benefit from in future games.
You taught me a few, such as spending strain for movement without the need to use movement as an action.
I also learned that you may spend a surge on recovering one strain, once per action.
Please keep the videos coming. I would also like to see how each side spends their earned experience, influence, and credits. Please share which class deck impact chose along with which 18 agenda cards are in play.

I've not played the game for about 2-3 years, but at 16:40 you stun the e-web but did no damage. Don't you need to do damage to be able to apply any effects? Be they good or bad. Good vid. I will be starting a campaign series soon once i have finished another Core Space mission and uploaded it.

We just played this scenario last night and fell agonisingly short. One terminal left with 6 damage done to it....
But being our first game we rebels didnt use our special abilities enough (at all).
Still an awesome game.
Just got into Imperial assault, just played this scenario and the imperials kicked my butt! But I'm excited to go through the campaign and to watch your videos. If I fall in love with this game I'm hoping to create some content for it as well. Keep it up!

I loved this video!! One other thing I noticed though was that around 32:30 you had Diala stun the same trooper twice, but you actually can’t affect a figure with the same condition twice. They can suffer multiple different conditions at once, but not the same one twice. Other than that though, this was super well done and entertaining to watch!! You earned my sub 👍🏻
15:28 The first Stoormtrooper you moved ended his activation by not firing after moving. The second ST is fine. So only one can fire.
32:43 - A figure cannot be affected by multiple instances of the same condition. For example, if a figure that is already Stunned would become Stunned again for any reason, nothing happens.
"Threat" is misspelled as "Treat" each time a new round starts
I didn't notice this, good spot. I suppose, it is kind of an Imperial 'Treat' in a way :)

Great video, helped me a lot. I'm still learning the game, but believe the 1st BLAST wouldn't work because the defense die caused no damage (p. 7 "If the target of this figure's attack suffers one or more damage, .....).
I love this game. Im also relatively new to it myself. I have finished two campaigns now though and am very impressed.
Edit: I've now had time to watch some of it. Couple thoughts.
Garkahn (I misspelled it I believe but whatever): Why note use the wookies charge ability immediately? That way he'd get 2 attacks and probably kill a stormy.
Diala: She has reach so on her first activation she didn't need to strain to get up to the imperial officer.
Jyn: she has only moved 4 spaces on her 1st activation. If she wanted to move 1 more space after shooting that would be legal. Plus she can move an extra space due to opportunist.
Storm troopers: when activating group each figure is technically suppose to activate separately. The way you said it made it sound like you were moving the whole squad at once and then all shooting at once. In actuality each model is supposed to move then shoot. What you did was legal though because only one storm trooper actually moved.
That was my thoughts on the first round.
Okay I'm seeing quite a few mistakes but its ultimately fine. As long as your enjoying the game thats really all that matters. I still am looking forward to seeing you do a side mission. I know I found the first side mission to be one of the hardest missions in my campaign. After around 3 missions I started snowballing (I was gaining powers quicker than the empire) though until the last mission.

@@THEBLEEPUPPODCAST I'm just happy to see more people playing it. Im not going to act like I know all the rules. I still make plenty of mistakes (I usually forget keywords on empire cards or to draw global effects (I typically use RAIV). It was clear to me that yall seemed to enjoy it and I'm very happy to see that.
For the record IDK how many missions I played with friends before we figured out that Diala had reach 😆

@@THEBLEEPUPPODCAST well you figured it out quicker than us. We literally only noticed once we pulled a Tier I upgrade card that added reach to melee weapons. We had to look it up and decided it work great on her and then "oh wait guys! She already has it." Lol
8:03 How does Diala recover 2 Strain?
Heroes can spend one surge to recover a strain but I believe there is a limit to one per attack
19:00 Gaarkhan should use his Pierce 1 to negate the block, thereby dealing 2 damage
And cannot even use 2 surge to return 2 focus
Was wondering about the two stuns on the trooper. I dont think it works this way? You can only have 1 stun on a character.? Or am I playing wrong? Like the video by the way. Just started playing with my son😉
You are correct. Models can't stack effects. They made a lot of mistakes in this video regarding rules but they seemed to have enjoyed it which is whats important. As a newer player myself I too made plenty of mistakes one my first 2 campaigns. Its a lot of small detail rules that they miss. Honestly its a lot of the same mistakes made.

I love what you're doing, and it's been a year, but you certainly made more than one mistake while filming this video. XD
Still, we've all made mistakes playing this game because it's just "one of those games". I assume from the lack of Imperial class cards you're playing this solo against an app?

14:30 The door is supposed to shut again at the end of the round it opens for the first time.
I think that they used the other option, which is to give the terminals more health. The Imperial player gets to choose one or the other.
Actually, the other mistake you made is starting the imperial threat at 0 instead of 2, and every single time you didn’t use a quick shot from Jyn.
Also, after the strain/endurance Garkhaan mistake, you make another mistake in that the terminals get a passive +1 block result when being attacked for each adjacent imperial figure.
Edit 2: at 32:00 you cannot have two of the same harmful or beneficial condition.
