- Meet rescue dog Maggie in this episode of Shocking Rescue Stories with Dr Scott Miller. After losing her eyes and ear in a horrific attack on the streets of Lebanon, Maggie is rescued. This is her story, of love and resilience, how one dog can survive the worst ordeal and overcome her fears to live a happy life, being an inspiration to others.

I have no words to convey my utter disdain for monsters that abuse animals. What Maggie endured is unimaginable and it is soul crushing. To see her gentle nature is amazing, especially after she went through such horrific abuse. Thank you to the people, the vets and everyone else who had a hand in helping her overcome her ordeal.

One of the most horrifying cases of torture I've read about. The suffering that dog went through heart wrenching.
Sadly I have heard worse, we have to be thankful she survived, not all tortured dogs have that privilege 😢

ISO agree, I have a rescue beaten pit bull that has got to be the greatest gift from God. But let me ask you this as horrific. As it is to what we people are doing to innocent. Helpless animals look at what we're doing to helpless innocent human babies ripping them from the mother's womb and having the audacity to call it healthcare. Anyone who is cruel or barbaric to animals is of the devil. This is the worst case that I have ever heard of displaying such heinous abuse towards a dog. I had a blind rescue many years ago. My little dog could walk off lead and run in the park. I taught her up/down stairs or kerbs and also ‘round’ so she wouldn’t run into a tree or post. I know how much love, patience and training goes into teaching a blind dog to live in freedom. More importantly I know how much trust she had to instill in this dog so she could walk and play without a lead. Well done. Hope you have a long, happy and healthy life with this wonderful earth angel. My little girl passed away over 15 years ago but I still think she was an amazing earth angel that I was privileged to share a part of my life with. RIP Jackie

Many bad deeds go unpunished. Hitler wiped out over 20 million people and his only punishment was learning over the last month of his life that his ambitions would never be realised.
To inflict that level of cruelty and abuse is the hallmark of a psychopath; a truly horrific human trait. Fortunately, for every inherent evil there are truly more compassionate and caring humans who by their light and love transcend the vulnerable to a place of peace and safety.
Those that came last will come first in heaven, and those disgusting people who harmed her or any animal will have a place to suffer worse than poor Maggie. God Bless you for helping her.

I just read another story local here in so Calif where someone put a bulldog in plastic tub, taped it shut and left her by a trash bin to die. Someone heard her, got her out and immediately to a vet. The sweet dog died a few days later. There is currently a $20,000 reward for whoever did this to her. I cannot fathom the evil, heartless nature of people who aren't worth the life they have been given compared to the lives they take so thoughtlessly. I hope Maggie lives the rest of her days surrounded by nothing but love.

Maggie's story is both heartbreaking and heart-warming. A beautiful dog who was tortured and then rescued as she meets her saviour, Kasey, who helps her along this amazing journey to become a healer herself and live the life she always deserved. It is a profound grace that this spiritual woman has provided so much love and undertstanding to this innocent being who has suffered so greatly.
I have my blind dog adopted, was living in shelter for many yrs after owner passed away and never got not even 1 interest from anyone to get adopted. Thats why I took him and hes completely blind, 17yrs and so thankful and best dog I have ever had.

This reminds me of my own special girl. She is not blind but half her muzzle is missing, so from her eye to her mouth she doesnt have skin. Only thing that you have to do is wipe her mouth a few times aday, but for some reason, no one wanted her. I was living in an apartment where only 2 pets were allowed and i had 2. then sadly my cat passed away and a few months after I saw her post again and i was stunned no one had adopted this beauty. I did, so she was driven from Romania to Denmark by some lovely people and she has been mine for 5 years now. She also had horrible night terrors, but she doesnt have them anymore. She is the easiest dog ever, she just want cuddles and her fav thing is to lay on something soft with a blanket over her.

What happened to poor Maggie was terrible beyond words. Thank God for the person who saved her from further torture and those who pitched in to get her healthy and safe. I currently have two dogs that were born deaf…one was born blind and one was visually impaired & now sees only light & dark. Prior to this I had two collies born deaf & visually impaired. They have all been amazing dogs that are truly no different than hearing/seeing dogs. They love, they play, they give you everything they have…their whole hearts.

I started to watch this video right after I had hoped on the train on my way home when suddenly I went from being fine and normal to literally having tears running down my face as I watched everything this poor baby suffered. I don’t think I’ve ever reacted this way to any video I’ve watched on youtube but this one just really broke my heart 💔 It made me sad to c that evil ppl had done this 2 her 4 no reason. I’m just so happy that I was able to finish watching the video and saw how she was able to now live her best dog life. The take over by the Taliban was quite tragic for her and she lost many of her animals, not because of the Taliban but OUR military who let them all out of their carriers at the airport. Charlotte had a plane waiting to get them out, had permission from the US that pulled it at the last minute. I digress. She is still there, she has a staff, she has veterinarians and a few times a year has a number of animals to fly out and they go through the UAE, into Europe, Canada and some into the US eventually. People asked her why she stayed and she aid in would not be kind to leave them. So, so far the Talban has let her do her work and I pray it continues.
Poor Maggie, what a journey and it's is so amazing to me that these dogs like Maggie will still love. Hmmm, something to learn maybe. I am so glad that she is safe and will have a good life. Sweet girl.
