Just a personal note: I find it beneficial to add some tooth to the bare wire of the armature before the putty stage. I just hold the wire gently with a small needle-nose pliers and grip the wire just enough that the teeth on the pliers abrase the wire a bit.
You can use a gentle "biting" motion running up and down the strand of wire as well.
I use soft aluminum armature wire for my work. I am not sure what is being used in the video.

Wish I'd found this series just before I started trying my hand at sculpting! Lots of great advice here, would love for you to maybe revisit some sculpting tutorials alongside your current painting videos too. Thanks

Great tutorials! Can you please tell me the name of the product(s) that you blended together to use as a base? It sounded like you were saying "Liliput." I'm sure that isn't the name ... Thanks!

d'oh! Disregard. I went back in the video and saw that you did hold the product Milliput in front of the camera - my bad.

great tutorials, many charts for armatures likes this, you can indeed find on the internet, but for busts i did not find any like scale 1:10 etc how can you find this?
