Nice simple use of the menagerie. I'm planning on turning one of the asteroids into a super farm and shipping food to it so I can get tons of insulation later.

I just started the return trip from my second visit to the marsh asteroid(taking about 2880kg resin back)
I took 200kg of berry sludge(50kg for the dupes the rest for resin) and enough resources to set up this build(I'll be looking forward to seeing how it goes)

That is clever but wild critters are so useful on their original planets I don't think I would do this.
While the other rare resources involve substantial construction projects and thus some sort of colony, it is interesting you don't need that here. Just a rocket platform, solar panel, a conveyor going into and a pipe with pump going out

maybe not every critter- as there are some i just dont utilize like the plug slug or puft line. it ends up acting like a daycare for the critters you dont want to deal with but still want a benefit.

technically its possible, but the po2 runs rampant to speed up the decay rate

It's hilarious that critter meat can fall into lava, but you still have to put it on the grill later to turn it into cooked meat.
