cod fish cakes are very good and very traditional in Portuguese cuisine, but you had the "modern-cheese-infused" version which is craaaaap. its an insult to even allow it to exists imo. I have never met anyone that liked it.

Lisbon is amazing ❤️ If it’s not on your list already you need to head to a little town called Lagos it’s near Sagres “the end of the world” they have an amazing vibe there and you can take surf trips to the west cost! It’s a sleepy town by day but so fun at night with some of the most famous coastlines in Portugal

the fish cakes you got from that restaurant, (fish cake=pastel de bacalhau) are notorious amongst people here for being a scam, it is 5 times more expensive than the regular ones and actually not very good in comparison.
Living in Lisbon is amazing tho, the best spots around to surf are for sure, Ericeira, the coast of Sintra, and Costa de Caparica aswell on a good day.

I just visited Portugal for a month coming from Maui, the fish style palette they have out there caught me so off guard, i didn’t get to try those fish cakes tho, something was telling me not to and after seeing your reaction my regret on not trying them has seemed to disappear lol. However I did have a dish out there that quite literally looked and tasted like dog food and apparently it was “pork”, god I love and miss it out there, great content by the way! Keep em coming!

Get on the train and take a proper walk in Lisbon. It's a very nice 35 min train ride along the coast. There's no way to get it wrong, just exit at the last stop. And get away from restaurants that have pics of the menu outside! Ahahah! Have fun!

I loved this video!! The style was perfect!!! Oh look, Jackson and Mia are exploring Portugal and we are going along.....wonder what will happen!?!? That is how you explore a new place.....you don't scout it and then go back to film.......you only experience it for the first time.......ONCE!! :P Those streets were cool, the vendors were cool, what did the Italian food look/taste like, be the tourist! Ask the locals where to go to eat! Everyone loves to talk about their food!!
True story....I know it is your vlog....but, anyway. Was in Barbarino val D'elsa in Italy with my entire family and it is mom's birthday. (We are not rich, a once in a lifetime family vacation.) We are eating dinner and a local guy comes up and sees the birthday flan on the table and asks if the local kids can sing happy birthday.....they are learning English and they want to use what they learned. They might have been bored....who knows?! The word goes out and the kids come from all over and gather at our table. It was the coolest thing ever! 12 young kids singing their hearts out.....5 minutes later they were all scattered, off to the next adventure!

That place you went to for the fish cakes... they ruined one of the most delicious traditional Portuguese foods. It shouldn't have cheese, and its soft inside because they make them too big to fit the cheese. It should be fluffy on the inside, crusty on the outside and with just the right balance of cod fish and potato (not too fishy). You simply got sold the "fake" tourist experience, sorry for that.

Good question… no money actually comes from my parents. I’ve worked as a full time filmmaker for the last few years running my own company and built up a solid chunk of change.
Now I’ve got this channel, sickos, and my sponsors that pay me a monthly retainer which I’m reinvesting into travel so that I can continue to create these videos and scale my channel. I’m not profiting much money because I’m spending pretty much everything back into travel and the business, but the money I built up from my past work stays as my safety net while the new flow basically pays for it all. I also travel with 7 people so it’s cheap and I’m 23 with not too many bills to pay 🤙🏽
