When it comes to getting bbs stuck in the spring, my friend had that same issue and i took two tweezers and fiddled with the bb and i managed to pop it out through the bb hole so it is possible but you will have to move the bbs into place with a very small and thin tool. you will definitely need to sandwich the bb in between your two tools or else it will move when you try to pop it out of the bb hole. Now if your bb manages to get to the very bottom of the spring then i don’t believe that you will be able fix it but as long as it doesn’t get stuck at the very bottom of the spring then you can fix it
Duck duck go ‘airsoft’ loading magazines spring mechanism / ex springs. Was bored and felt lil baby Jesus move me towards gentlemanly deeds…- and to aid a down’d weapon soldier
I just want to back up the diagnosis and to let everyone know that this is 100% accurate and true. Thanks for sharing what you have learned. We are pretty much on our own when it comes to fixing our airguns so anything we can learn with diagnosing and fixing is very very much appreciated. Thanks again.
Thanks for the great feedback! Always glad to help out xD Helping people get the most out of their plinking sessions is my goal. Like you said, nothing guarantees perfect plinking right out of the box, but with a little tinkering and TLC you can rest easy you didnt waste a couple 100 bucks hehe.
As for the spring... You can unscrew the t shaped tab and remove the entire spring with the BB in side allow for easy removal. I cut off about an inch (or even slightly more) of the spring with wire cutters as I've found it unnecessarily too long anyways. With the "spring shortening" I find it easier to load the BBs and have never had a problem with it not having enough tension to feed. Hope this helps
If your sitting at the table and jawing with the wife while your loading her mag and you inadvertently shove a BB into the spring, it's not wrecked. Simply take the screw out that holds the spring into place and take the spring out. Once the spring is out you can remove the BB's from it without damage. I've been working on scuba gear for years. Sometimes when you have a pressure leak the o ring needs to be replaced. For a BB gun, take the offending ring to your local hardware store. You can probably find a replacement for less that 25 cents 'Merican .
I agree with you 100% on this my friend xD I was hoping people realize the ez fix once the mag is disassembled and the spring (and bbs) come out. I myself have worked on stuff as small as a vacuum pump all the way up to 80ft long 8ft diameter autoclaves xD. Not everybody has tinkering experience hehe.
So my issue with three different magazines is the hammer splitting the valve cover in two. Forgive my lack of technical knowledge and description here..basically on the top of the magazine facing the firing mechanism, there is a metal plate with one screw holding it to the magazine.. I have broken three of them in half. Once they break, the magazine will not feed bbs and the blowback action fails. Im old, but new to this hobby, it was to the dpms sbr that I owe the credit to, for piquing my interest. So fun. It took about a week until I was All In, scope, red dot, bipod, quick reload magazine, and an extra standard magazine…not cheap, but it had a lot of great reviews so, lets go. The first mag failed in a week, the quick reload magazine took about three weeks, and finally my original magazine failed.all split this plate..no replacement part that I could find anywhere..not a lot of info out there on this type of failure either, so I’m left with no choice but to replace the whole magazine (?) anyway Anybody else have a similar issue? Are there any diy Fixes or explanations as to why this occurs?
Yeah this does happen to others, although I never heard about each mag breaking one after the other. Have you field stripped the airgun to make sure all the components are properly in place? This is most definitely an airgun issue and not a mag issue. If possible I would maybe try and get it replaced. If not, a full field strip is in order, you need to make sure everything is clean and in its proper place.
As to why it happens is hard to say, I have 5 of these and multiple mags, and I only have 1 broken bolt catch. If the buffers in the lower extension (the stock part) are not being stopped by the retaining pin they potentially could be slamming into the firing pin and the BCG assembly too hard, which would maybe crack that part. If you plink in the sun and let the mags warm up you could be running a supped up rifle but the internals are not built to handle the increased energy and could break. You can verify the "hammer chip", it is the little black knob thingy on the end of the hammer inside the BCG. that little black chip should only protrude by barely a mm from the end. Any longer than that could be increasing energy dumped onto the mag valve. Hope this helps, my videos should help you get through the field strip process, I cover everything with no editing so you guys can follow along.
TIP FOR STUCK CHECK VALVE (CO2 dumping or not charging): I sprayed some Hoppe's Gun Medic Cleaner & Lube (since the cleaner evaporates) into the chamber inside where the small straight head screw with the seal comes out of on the thin side, shook it around, tapped it a bunch of times in several directions, and that was able to get the valve unstuck without wasting any CO2. It also seems to shoot much more powerfully now as well.
@@funniman15 hmm interesting, it is possible you actually had gunk or a piece of pierced co2 caplet stuck in there. Just be careful, that stuff will eat away at the seals even if it evaporates, anything in a spray can will always have extra stuff in there so it "sprays" under pressure. But yeah, going in to by that hole to physically clean is a good idea, you lose a bit of the flush by co2 effect but you can shine a light in there and actually see the chechvalve slit. Thanks for sharing!
You really need to show us if both CO2 cartridges actually emptied. I have 3 magazines and none of them actually work correctly. Meaning it only uses the cartridge on the left. And when I go to replace the left cartridge, the one on the right side gasses out. At that point its useless to change the right side one and just replace the left one, and leave an empty one in the right side. I have a solution though. I plan on marketing it to users of the DPMS SBR. It not only corrects for and eliminates the use of C02, But is also upgrades the unit to 1100 psi PCP air(vs 900 psi CO2). Its a great adaptor. Easy to install, and upgrades to 13 cubic inches of air. Now it really cranks.........I plan on launching sales sometime in 2024 or early 2025. I still need to work out a few logistics first, and launch the LLC. I figure there are around 1 - 2 million of these guns out there that need this mod.
If the second slot empties out it's because the ring is too tight most likely. The seal/piercing needle assembly is keeping the check valve (just a small bb) jammed. You can buy a HPA adapter from pyramydair, just watch out for the power factor as too much psi will break the airgun internals. Hehe
By the way, I bought the Missus the 300 round mag. It's worth the investment. You just have to mess with it some to figure out how it really works. She can load that one all by herself now, which frees me up to do some shootin'..... At least, when I can get my SBR from my son. Lol
Aye, thats why I didnt delve too much into the QR mag, I am pretty sure the one I have is just acting weird. Hope your son's B-day is coming up, so you can get him his own and then plink duel xD
Hey bro came across your video and it’s cool. I don’t have any issues with the three magazines I have so far but I’ve only shot maybe 10,000 bbs. Which rifle do you have? I was thinking of giving the rifle a good cleaning but can’t settle on which product to use? Everyone says to use silicone spray or something like that but can’t find one that’s just silicone? Do you break it down when you clean yours or how do you exactly do it? Thanks
Aye, a couple drops of silicone oil in the bolt carrier and on the seals should be enough to keep it lubed. I usually will just wipe everything down with a papertowel until it wipes clean then give everything a sheen with silicone oil, then one drop on each seal and one drop on one of the springs in the fcg. Many will say you dont need to clean the barrel on an airgun but I pass a cleaning cloth regularly and you can definitely see a difference when you shine a light before and after. These things seems to run regardless xD I am just missing an R1 right now. Dont use the spray stuff, those are usually industrial grade with additives, get regular crosman silicone oil or the rws bottle with the extended spout thingy. Edit : yes i do perform a basic field strip to clean everything
@@Steven-jn2cw hmm, does it happen all the time or just when the mag is full or almost empty?...just quick off the top of my head before work I'd say possibly you are missing the magnet at the top of the bb follower channel in the magazine. You should be able to see if it's there if you shine a light in the bb exit hole on the mag. Or it might be the spring in the mag is binding. I'll have to check my ak1 later to see if I can replicate the problem with the airgun. Lemme know if you still have your magnet and if your bb follower spring is under proper tension.
@@RWMAirgunsmithing hello, thanks for the reply. It only happens occasionally, so I think everything is in place. I have actually put a little dab of pellgun oil around the magazine seal and spring area and the problem seems to have gone away completely. I wasn't sure if a small dab of oil in the magazine was a good idea but it seems to have worked
@@Steven-jn2cw nothing like a problem that can be fixed with a little standard maintenance! Hehe, I guess it makes sense, if there was a bit of foreign crud in your valve jamming up the springs inside it would explain the inconsistencies. Lemme know if the problem returns.
@@Steven-jn2cw maybe try flushing the mag if the problem returns. Use one co2 and manually actuate the magazine valve (dont use metal) and let the co2 pressure "flush out" the insides of the valve.
@@RWMAirgunsmithing thanks man. I've just put 5 x magazines of bb's through the gun with no jams or double firing. The gun is new so maybe something bedded in or the oil trick worked, either way I am very happy with it! Thanks 👍🏼
@16:04 the check valve side- green seal on every R1 at my local TSC was faulty. I actually did watch a video of a dude getting into them but it's just a seal and its apparently very difficult to put back in. I gave up on em. I bought the thing for me and my nephew. Actually, I was able to get a few seals and it works with 1 co2 cartridge but we moved on. Do you get into PCP airguns bro?
Not yet, being from Canada I would have to register any worth having (which means keeping it locked and range only shooting and all) and I'm kinda keen on getting a long range bolt action for 1km shooting as my next big investment. So the quality airgun precision shooting kinda takes a backseat to real firearms. If I ever have a big enough property I would definitely get into it though lol
I think I damaged the piercing needles from over-tightening my co2...the co2 just shoots right out wasting all the gas in seconds. Is there any way to fix or replace the green seals or piercing needles?
@@RWMAirgunsmithing It looks as though the needle on the first valve is slightly seared on the edge and that seems to be where the gas is shooting out. If this is due to over-tightening then I'm afraid I voided my warranty for sending it back
@@argyleantiques9943 hmm the green seal should take care of a leak from the needle. If you screw in the first one and it empties out near the piercing needle than most likely the culprit is the tightening ring. You need to seat the seal a little more. Usually piercing needle problems come with a drop in co2 during shooting, not loading.
@@freebandmari777 that sucks, you guys can try customer service but I don't know if they replace piercing needles. Not sure if you "drop" your co2 in but treating mechanical devices properly is a big part of prolonged use. I have over 3 dozen assorted mags and I go through boxes and boxes of co2 and never had any issues.
Thank you for the informative video! I have a question. Mine leaks from the second slot and from the valve at the top. whats wrong with it. Also, it rattles from the top when shaking it
The second slot leak should be fixed by tightening (just a little) the ring on the seal. But that rattle in the top valve is not good, there shouldn't be any. If the assembly isnt incredibly loose I would bet there is something broken inside. You could try tightening the brass plate on the valve side, but if it is already snugg and it still leaks the valve needs to be opened and inspected. You can follow along with my disassembly and assembly videos.
There's just a cone shaped plug between the two cartridge ports. Inserting the First cartridge presses the plug and it shuts the line so the secondary cartridge port does not let gas out. But the plug sometimes jams itself shut - especially if only using one cartridge at a time. Letting gas outta the first cartridge port, after both cartridges are installed, the secondary cartridge's gas presses easier the plug open since reduced counter pressure by the leaking first cartridge. I had this plug jammed on one of my mags at some point due to often using only one co2 cartridge in the First port. But by installing an empty cartridge in the First slot first - and using a full cartridge in port #2, the plug always gets pressed open in use by only one co2 cartridge.. I often shot my DPMS with only one cartridge - whenever I just wanted to do a quick shooting test or something..
Nice, when I empty mine I always unscrew the "first" one first, so the second co2 pushes the valve as it empties out. These things are good for over 150 rounds when semi -auto plinking, Kind of a shame they are so finicky.
A little "trick" I started adopting when switching around multiple unmarked mags... I load my co2 and give a little burst on full auto, it seems to dislodge and "wake up" that check valve.
Check out my complete assembly video, I have close ups on the piercing needle. It does look to have an angle to it and I show how to tighten it. Hope it is not damaged.
I would recommend trying crosman customer service first. From what I've seen in the comments apparently there is a good chance they send you one or replace your mag.
My ABR is less than a week old and now it continues to fire CO2 even when the magazine e is completely empty. This wastes CO2. How can I fix this issue?
Does it do it with fresh co2 (always), after 2 mags? or after 5 mags? and are you full auto mag dumping? also.. what temp environment (do you leave your mags bake in the sun) are you plinking in? sorry for stupid questions but some problems are rarely caused by just one specific thing.
Hi, hey I was watching your videos and I was going to take my gun apart and noticed the pin is missing. Not sure when I lost it. It's been in storage for 2 years. We moved but I want to replace that pin. I don't know what it's called. I took a picture but I don't see how to upload a picture to you. Do you know where I can get replacement pins? It's one of the black ones that you push it in and then just pull it out to remove the lower from the upper part of my bush master CO2 BB rifle
That would be the front pivot pin or the rear takedown pin. Unfortunately crosman has not opened up many of their parts for sale individually yet. You can try searching online or your local airsoft shops for a replacement part, the fit should be pretty darn close. You could even try a real one depending on prices. Those 2 pins technically serve no other purpose than to keep the upper and lower receiver together. Temporally you could jerryrig a fix with anything that will keep the two receivers snug and securely together, I would try to avoid anything that could carve grooves in your crosman holes.
I have a broken part of my magazine(dpms sbr), it's like a metal gasket that goes around the o ring where the gas exits towards the bb and the recoil system. Where can I find it?
I haven't seen that for sale as an individual part yet. If crosman customer service won't replace the magazine you could probably tinker a fix, it seems like the only purpose of that part is to hold the gasket in place.
Wow that is crazy! I am currently working on a part 2 for the mags. I'll include the full breakdown. Until then you can checkout the link I put in the description. Its pretty easy to remove the plastic covers and it is only one screw holding the the bb follower spring in place.
The green seal around the piercing needle? The only orings that can affect fps would be the ones inside the actual valve, if they for some reason impede the valve cycling. Considering there are no leaks.
Ok, this doesn’t pertain to this mag but I have a glock 17 replica and when I install the co2 into the mag all the air comes out, I do put a drop of air gun oil but doesn’t help, any info on this? Picked up another mag works great but at $50 I would like to fix the problem. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@@tommanning7337 if it completely discharges out the top of the magazine then you need to tinker with the valve. If you take it out with an "airsoft valve" tool you can clean inside, re-seat the o-ring, put a drop of silicone oil and then snug the valve back in. If it is just a slow leak , try putting a drop of silicone oil down the top of the mag directly into the valve while the co2 is slow leaking out. Let it sit and see what happens.
@@tommanning7337 yeah, need to take out the valve, You can "jerryrig" a tool to unscrew it but I would recommend finding an airsoft shop and buying a valve tool. The oring inside might be mangled, but if not just a good cleaning and lube job should get it back up and running for at least 6 to 8 co2. edit : in my experience you will need to unscrew the valve and clean it every half dozen or so co2.
Hard to say, they might make them semi auto only like the UK and others.. only thing we can do is not add fuel to the fire, respect local regulations and don't bother the neighbors hehe
UPDATE : after a bit more digging there does seem to be a section in the new bill targeting low power airguns/airsoft that look like real firearms. Order now or maybe forever hold your peace lol.
You can replace it with any spring with similar size/stiffness. You could probably find one with a few google searches, maybe even check out airsoft shops, they usually have plenty of parts for all their models.
@@rogerbarthe3734 lemme know how it goes, i might be able to help zero it in but, tbh, there are plenty of great videos on youtube. The procedure for airgun scopes is the same as for a real firearm.
You didnt edit,,,,,,interesting though,...i figured out the first day i had mine it performed poorly and lacked power,.. till i backed off the co2 just like you said,..then got several more rounds through it
I know! I'm pretty much as green as it gets uploading and making videos. Working on it xD I practiced a bit, but I think I need to outline my talking points and stick to the script xD Glad you get max co2 outa your mags hehe, took me a while because of the multiple magazines!
Hi my name is Willie I recently purchased the QR magazine which is the 300 capacity which I've had trouble with sometimes it would work it would use both canisters sometimes it wouldn't so the original I had the same trouble so I started using it more often the original works fine now but the QR the I started taking it apart and of course I avoided the warranty but I can't find parts that's what my question is I've contacted crosman directly and they have no idea where to get parts seals is what I need I actually broke one of the retaining rings which are cast they're very cheap and I started to strip it and then bad things happen anyhow I'd like to find parts please let me know how thank you great video by the way
Oof, tough break. Unfortunately crosman has not pumped out many spare parts for these yet. If you have a friend with a 3d printer and decent material you can maybe get one 3d printed, not sure if that is overkill. Any solution that could keep the co2 centered as you pierce should keep it running. When I tried taking out the green seal by the bottom it was really tight and I gave up, Maybe a properly sized o'ring will do the trick. Just make sure the tip of the canister gets centered when piercing so it ends up flat on the seal.
Valid question! I've seen people talk about it in forums and the tinkerer in me has always went down the rabbit hole... but... The problem is : bb's are spherical and random orientation of 25 bbs in a mag does not matter. So manufacturers can capitalize on that and make awesome replicas with drop free mags. These mags could definitely shoot pellets but you would have to tinker with the bb follower and guide and the entire bb channel and swap barrels to have some barrel rifling and most definitely would need to shim and angle everything at each step. Edit : not to mention the technicality of loading the mag after all these mods.
It would definitely be an amazing tinkering feat that comes with bragging rights... but in reality you can purchase a hpa full auto pellet shooter except would not be a "AR replica". My advice would be to get the most out of these amazing AR replicas (for training and plinking these guys are accurate out to 50-60ft) and if you want better ballistics then you should definitely look into buying a real pellet airgun.
Whenever I load my CO2 (where it's indicated first), it leaks and depletes all my CO2, so I start with the right side instead. In fact I only fire mine with 1 CO2 just the right side only. Some must be stuck.
Ya , for sure something is getting stuck... thankfully these guys run on one co2 only. I plan on making a sequel to this video in which I get to the bottom of that interior check valve. Until then, I highly recommend following the procedure on Big J's channel and after that trying to tinker with the co2 piercing needle ring.
What's happening with co2 leaking out the right side is a really small round ball barring that's not seating right! What's supposed to happen when you load the co2 that says first is the pressure builds up within the shared chamber and that pressure is supposed to push that little ball barring against a seal that on the opposite side of the piercing valve. Sometimes a bit of dirt or whatever it may be gets in the way and causes it to leak past.. if you get a blow gun with the curved metal tip and some pel gun oil, put a couple of drops on each peircer valve and then with the blow start with the the first one and gently apply a bit of air to that valve with the blow gun tip covering the peircer valve and sitting tight again the green o ring. Just be careful not to bend or break the peircer valve tip. Then move to the next one and repeat, but adding more air pressure as you go.. the only reason I say start gently with the air is to make sure you get that oil in there and not all over you or wherever else it may blow onto waisting the oil.. . Also one more thing ,I noticed you mentioned you have never took apart the top valve chamber section. Well I have about a hundred different times I also make my own custom valves almost identical to the factory valve, with the exception of my valves will get you running at anywhere from 600fps to upwards of 1200 fps.. I make three different valves witch all range from above said numbers ! Cheers guys and happy air gunning
I also forgot to mention that you can tighten the retaining collar ring, but again be very careful with those as well because there very soft metal and will strip out and in some cases break in half !
Idk if it'd be the solution or not but I got the crosman ak1 BB gun and while reloading I accidentally dropped the magazine and it still works but it's just harder to take in and take out and was wondering what the problem could be. It looks perfectly fine except at the top of where the BB fires, there's tiny tiny dents on it and a tiny bit of the rubber where the firing pin of the rifle hits is poking out just a tiny bit and was wondering how I could exactly fix it
I have an ak1 in the mail, ill see what the mag looks like next week. For sure though any deformed part might create additional friction in the magwell. Wish i could see the condition of your rubber piece, if it's not damaged and just sticking out you need find a way to re-seat it.
Excluding the dropped mag part..... lol From comments from other viewers I can relate that the problem of the ak mag not dropping free stems from a valve problem in the mag that causes the valve to jam in the "chamber". So you need to empty the co2 and relieve the pressure on the mag valve so it can drop free. Hope this helps, sorry it took so long, you can contact crosman and hope they replace the mag.
@@d0ntReadOnMe108 there are only the green seals visible from the underneath when you look at the piercing needles, one for each co2. I'm not sure of the exact material, probably some type of silicone, crosman uses these types of seals on multiple different models.

Most likely the check valve mechanism isnt seated properly by the piercing needle retaining ring. Follow the instructions in the video, and gradually tighten the ring, you might not need much, dont over do it so you dont squeeze it.
@@pauliusdorosenka7036 I wouldn't worry about making them equally tight, the goal here is to find the sweet spot. You might have to waste a co2 and perform Big J's video to dislodge the check valve.

@@pauliusdorosenka7036 nice! If you are leisurely semi auto plinking you can expect a good 4-5 mags with good power then maybe the 5th and 6th you will start noticing. If you full auto dump repeatedly it will be less. You will find out sure enough when you're done plinking unscrew the co2 xD
Hello. Thanks for the video. My second co2 cartrige isnt charging. I unscrewed little pin and oiled it, but no help. When I put only second co2 nothing happens and it doesnt go anywhere
By little pin you mean the set screw on the side of the magazine or the piercing needle for the co2? Kinda sounds like one of your retaining screws holding your co2 seal and piercing needle is too tight and jamming the internal check valve. Did you perform Big J's proof video I linked in description?
My mag has a problem in the top of the magazine the thing that does the blowback randomly snapped and theres a gold circle and now the blowback now shooting semi auto or full auto and i have to manually charge the slide what do i do
There should be a black rubber seal between your gold part and the broken part. I would guess the air pressure is escaping in too many directions and doesn't have enough energy to push the BCG all the back forcing you to charge it for every shot.
Actually if you get BBs stuck in the spring just remove the spring from the magazine and the BBs will come out do NOT try to use a pick and get them out without removing the spring you will destroy the spring but if you do mess the spring up crosman will send you one for free...

I'll make sure to point it out. So far I do not think Crosman sells these parts yet and probably never will seeing as it would be too easy to mod and hence eliminate their product from the non full auto markets, but you can see on the parts list there is a semi auto and a full auto part.

Unfortunately crosman does not sell parts (except like 3 or 4 ). You can buy springs online though, anything with the same diameter and quasi similar thickness should work. Maybe airsoft shops would stock springs that might fit.

I'm not sure if I'm surprised or not that Crosman hasn't updated this garbage magazine design. Namingly, the pain of reloading the f***ing thing. Surprising because this overall platform system could be THE design to recommend to anyone except for the magazine. Not-surprising because that's the apparent theme of air guns: "almost good enough". Perpetually almost good enough. For decades.
Yeah, definitely not like the real thing xD Pretty much all the replica airguns have their issues, but you trade some performance for realistic handling.
It's frustrating, but hey I still play the game. I really like the format these use where you can interchange uppers and lowers. If they made an entire line like this, it would be awesome to be able to swap in different calibers or maybe a rifled barrel with mags that push diablo pellets up. Or something, the ability for innovation here seems massive. I got mine on HPA and am planning at some point to convert a 6mm drum to feed somehow, was thinking about using the top of a standard DPMS mag and finding a way to get the drum to feed up the usual BB stack. Wish in one hand, couch potato in the other. lol
The barrel on my m4a1 build is a crosman 1077 rifled barrel. I have a video in the works for replacing the stock crosman barrel. (Still shooting bbs though hehe). Its true all their models are almost all identical but I enjoy the fact they are soooooo milspec you can take it apart and tinker with it. Good luck with the 6mm drum mag xD
Make sure all your apps are up to date, if you are on PC maybe a good clean up of stored data might help xD I dont represent UA-cam but maybe that will help hehe. Thanks for bitching on UA-cam because my video didn't pop up fast enough! xD I take it as a compliment!
Why does a consumer have to fix a faulty design?! Wth?! It should work out of the box!!!! I’ve purchased 5 cartridges and none of them work correctly. Yeah totally agree the quality control is not up to par at all. It sounds like the check valve is constricted on your mags, but remember you never need to overtighten your co2, on this magazine if you overtighten the second slot co2 you will compress the check valve. If you need help performing the fixes in my videos lemme know!

Need to at least put a drop of crazy glue and let it dry to make the bb line up with the hole.
Hehe xD I wouldn't say crap, but there are a lot of comments out there about widely varying performance issues. The most common problem on the mags is with the "first/second" co2 check valve, it just takes the tiniest adjustment on the rings and that will usually get these running just fine.

Unfortunately my 3 mags and ak1 are working flawlessly. I have inspected the mechanism (others have had the same problem) and the only thing I can see that could bind up a mag is the bolt catch mechanism. I think maybe contacting crosman to see if they will warranty it would be the best bet. I do believe if it is jammed something is crooked or broken inside. (I might be wrong)
@@RWMAirgunsmithing so it turns out that the mag the ak1 came with is broken. It appears to be stuck on the side opposite the catch that holds it in. When I push the release lever it comes out less than 1/8" on the catch side. any ideas? is i fix this at home. sending the gun back is a big problem.
Couple questions.. Does the magazine release button clear the metal catch completely? If you put fresh co2 in it does the bolt cycle properly? If something is broken or misplaced in the blowback mechanism potentially the firing pin could be protruding into the mag. (i was able to pull my mag out even with the trigger actuating the firing pin) The only other part in there is a little catch/tab for the magazine follower and lockback on empty function. If this little tab is broken or bent out of place it most definitely could interfere with magazine removal. Just to make sure.. you need to insert and remove the magazine vertically unlike a real AK where you have to "rock/hinge" it in. You can access the bb follower and spring if you gently remove the plastic part that retains the spring in place, the spring and follower should fall out on their own, if the follower wont fall out it is most likely jammed by the little bolt catch tab inside the mag well.

Helping people get the most out of their plinking sessions is my goal.
@@TylerJackson10er nice! Thanks for the info! I would definitely have hesitated to recommend shortening the spring.
@Esotericgemini both of my clips are still going strong after cutting the spring. Hope it works for you!

Is 2 magazines since I can just afford that second🫡 a good start for getting out practicing muscle memory with the DPMS full auto; red dots
The first mag failed in a week, the quick reload magazine took
about three weeks, and finally my original magazine failed.all split this plate..no replacement part that I could find anywhere..not a lot of info out there on this type of failure either, so I’m left with no choice but to replace the whole magazine (?) anyway
Anybody else have a similar issue?
Great video, I made a special screw driver, tightened up the number two cylinder and no more wasted CO2. Thanks a lot!
Sweet! Keep on plinking! xD
I just ordered an R1 and was going to order mags. Outstanding video. Thank you so much. I just subscribed.
Nice! xD have fun plinking and the feedback is much appreciated!
Hehe
Nice work man! Thanks for the shout out. Subbed
Thanks xD
By the way, I bought the Missus the 300 round mag. It's worth the investment. You just have to mess with it some to figure out how it really works. She can load that one all by herself now, which frees me up to do some shootin'..... At least, when I can get my SBR from my son. Lol

Hey dude, My AK1 sometimes doesn't fire, then when I take the next shot, 2 bb's come out at the same time, do you know why this is happening?
@@Steven-jn2cw hmm, does it happen all the time or just when the mag is full or almost empty?...just quick off the top of my head before work I'd say possibly you are missing the magnet at the top of the bb follower channel in the magazine. You should be able to see if it's there if you shine a light in the bb exit hole on the mag. Or it might be the spring in the mag is binding.
I'll have to check my ak1 later to see if I can replicate the problem with the airgun.

Can you visibly see the piercing needle is crooked or flattened? And which port does it empty from? The same as the co2 or the other port?
@@RWMAirgunsmithing It looks as though the needle on the first valve is slightly seared on the edge and that seems to be where the gas is shooting out. If this is due to over-tightening then I'm afraid I voided my warranty for sending it back
@@argyleantiques9943 hmm the green seal should take care of a leak from the needle. If you screw in the first one and it empties out near the piercing needle than most likely the culprit is the tightening ring. You need to seat the seal a little more.
Aye bro what do you call that one peace that pokes the co2 and I think I tightened it up a bit to tight and broke the tip it's broken

I have the same problems
Do you have a video of you taking it apart? I have a bb stuck in the spring. It came out of the box like that.
Wow that is crazy! I am currently working on a part 2 for the mags. I'll include the full breakdown.
Until then you can checkout the link I put in the description. Its pretty easy to remove the plastic covers and it is only one screw holding the the bb follower spring in place.
Hey btw I pinned a comment for the "bbstuckinthespring" problem. I would venture it is the easiest solution with no disassembly.
Was the O' ring on the co² plug lubed up?
If not?
I suggest you grease it up.
It will increase the FPS
The green seal around the piercing needle? The only orings that can affect fps would be the ones inside the actual valve, if they for some reason impede the valve cycling. Considering there are no leaks.

Glad you get max co2 outa your mags hehe, took me a while because of the multiple magazines!
Have you ever tried to mod one to fire pellets ?
Would these mags work in a 1st gen mcx rattler?
I would add some picks with numbers but there's nowhere to attach said file here lol
Excluding the dropped mag part..... lol
From comments from other viewers I can relate that the problem of the ak mag not dropping free stems from a valve problem in the mag that causes the valve to jam in the "chamber". So you need to empty the co2 and relieve the pressure on the mag valve so it can drop free.
Hope this helps, sorry it took so long, you can contact crosman and hope they replace the mag.
So in the very top there's a Lil magnet that came out of mine and I'm not sure where it sits any help much appreciated

You mean around the piercing needle?
@@RWMAirgunsmithing yes
@@d0ntReadOnMe108 there are only the green seals visible from the underneath when you look at the piercing needles, one for each co2.

Hey, i see that u know this stuff i just got dpms and my mag is defected, when i put co2 into first slot it dumps it thru secound, if i want to use mag i have to put emty co2 into secound slot and then put full co2 into first slot, what do you sgest to do in this case
Most likely the check valve mechanism isnt seated properly by the piercing needle retaining ring.
Follow the instructions in the video, and gradually tighten the ring, you might not need much, dont over do it so you dont squeeze it.
So the secound slot has to be tighten more then first, because now they are tightened equally and that secound one leaks
@@pauliusdorosenka7036 I wouldn't worry about making them equally tight, the goal here is to find the sweet spot. You might have to waste a co2 and perform Big J's video to dislodge the check valve.

By little pin you mean the set screw on the side of the magazine or the piercing needle for the co2?
Kinda sounds like one of your retaining screws holding your co2 seal and piercing needle is too tight and jamming the internal check valve. Did you perform Big J's proof video I linked in description?
@@RWMAirgunsmithing yes, set screw on the right side. I see that second needle is little high and may be this is the problem

Totally agree, first option when possible should be the spring removal technique.

How do you turn the single shot version into full auto?
Not impossible, but not an easy "snap your fingers" fix, you would have to make your own "disconnector" and replace the part in the semiauto FCG that is modded so the "BCG" catches on each shot, I am about to record a full break-down tutorial.. I'll make sure to point it out.
So far I do not think Crosman sells these parts yet and probably never will seeing as it would be too easy to mod and hence eliminate their product from the non full auto markets, but you can see on the parts list there is a semi auto and a full auto part.

Or something, the ability for innovation here seems massive.

Couple questions.. Does the magazine release button clear the metal catch completely?
If you put fresh co2 in it does the bolt cycle properly? If something is broken or misplaced in the blowback mechanism potentially the firing pin could be protruding into the mag. (i was able to pull my mag out even with the trigger actuating the firing pin)
The only other part in there is a little catch/tab for the magazine follower and lockback on empty function.
