I just bought a 2022 TLX SH-AWD Tech and Acura has knocked it out of the park with the interior and design. The MDX is probably next on my list I love how it looks and drives
I do agree with you. I wish they gave the tlx more HP and torque tbh

@@ThirdBrainLives I get it but still the 2.0t feels heavy. The type s is a good car but still needs more power. Something like a g70 3.3t feels light and fun to drive more than the type s. I love Honda I owned Hondas my whole life but I feel like Acura didn’t do a good job with the type s tlx. Design is amazing. The car needs more sound and little more power. Something like Hyundai volester N or kona N or Elantra N. They all have nice sounding exhaust

What gas is recommended on the mdx type s ? and how's the road noise compared to the lexus rx 350 ?
Recently bought the 2022 MDX Type S Advance and I really like the performance and build quality of the car.
While it is weird that (in 2022) they don't have a touch screen, I find very little that I am not impressed with when I take it out for a drive - except for the horrible milage I get because I keep putting it in sport+ mode.
Either way, I think it is worth $73,000 when compared to other 3rd row SUVs , that have massage seats, 355Hp, air suspension, 21in wheels and does 0-60 in about 5.3seconds.
yep, we should have touch screen in 2022 now. this is the only reason that holds me back from getting the tlx because I hate the touch pad to bad.
@@TechAndHobby after you get used to it, it's really a pretty good touch pad for touch pads

I love the touch pad keeps fingerprints off the screen and very easy to use.

The x5 drives better but it’s little dated. It’s a hard choice tbh. The MDX doesn’t really feel like a luxury suv. It’s sporty

@@hassana220 it depends on how you take care of a car. I have seen bmws go up to 300k with no problems. Of coruse Toyotas and Hondas are good.

@@bg693 I drove cars for living and take my word on that. Sure red interior is nice but compare the air suspension that is actually works in the keep. It’s more comfortable. The mdx just feels sporty tbh. It’s a good SUV but I feel like the the segment has much better SUVs. Something like the bmw x7

You’re not the only one that drives cars for a living and the people who have done it much longer have praised the air suspension and not one person has said this car feels heavy but you.
If you’re going to say something is too expensive you have to compare apples to apples and also offer the viewer those mentions in the video with actual pricing and similar options like the certified automotive journalists do in their reviews. Including knowing an X7 can’t even be had with a premium audio system unless you get the V8 and that’s well over $100K or the fact it doesn’t compete with the MDX.
You’ll definitely get there as you get more experience and learn more about cars and SUVs. Good luck!
@@bg693 Yeah hes kind of lost in terms of class and mechanical aspects. I've been in the car industry my whole life. The X7 gives you the base model for 90k which is a huge difference. The jeep wagoneer is also different from the Grand wagoneer . The Grand wagoneer is over 100k and in a completely different class. The MDX type S inst meant to be the luxury model. Its a comfortable cruise with a bit of highway power . The regular MDX will come with air suspension soon and will be more comfortable and roughly 10k less. That MDX is fully loaded , only reason its 73k . Drop a few options and you can have a Type S for 65k easily. The MDX competes against the Infiniti QX60 , Lexus RX . The X5 , X7 , Wagoneer are all in different class of vehicles.

@@Iegend17 thanks, I found it. What's the deal with the mouse pad on the Acura tho? That's a feature that turns me off. Actually I was in the market for RDX vs GV70 but the mouse pad touch control I don't care for at all.

Can’t compare. One has stiffer suspension and one doesn’t. If Genesis comes out with a sporty or version of the GV80 then you can compare them but for now we cannot compare. If you were to ask me what I take a normal MDX or a GV80 then I would take the GV80 to be honest. The only reason is because Genesis offers a lot of features and the GVAD looks very very good. Has a really nice elegant look and feels very very very luxurious
@@Iegend17 Man , completely different price points. The Base MDX is 15k less. Even the Type S fully loaded is 5k less than the GV80. Give opinions sure, but give some perspective.
@@cornholioyo725 if you compare base to base the mdx is 6k less. You are right the mdx is cheaper but the design on the Genesis is better and it drives like a luxury suv. The MDX doesn’t feel like one but look like one. Lexus, infinit, and Lexus they do look luxury but don’t drive like one. Genesis came a long way. I have driven so many Genesis and I have to say Genesis is doing great. I love Acura/honda. I owned Hondas my whole life but when it comes to luxury the Japanese don’t know a thing about. It’s the truth
GV80 for pure luxury, MDX Type S for the most balance mixture of luxury and sport and some extra features. Both should be equally quick.

@@yanntam6451 cx-5 turbo is 37k, cx-9 starts from 35k, top trim is 47k. For sure MDX is better almost in every way, but is it 30k$ better ? I hardly doubt
