i honestly think that blox fruits is probably going to stay on top player count wise, since a large portion of their audience seems to be small children which means that they actually might not ever end up even hearing about rell seas, but i wouldn't be surprised if the player count for blox fruits does fall a bit over time because of rell seas

While I think it's very coincidental that they waited to add this type of feature until the RELL brothers do it, I think it's good that they implement quality of life improving features to their games. It's a smart thing that anyone should do if they actually care about the game they're making
it was probably on their radar to add but not a main priority, the rell seas moving proving that it was possible made them get it done sooner rather than later. Not to mention this update has been in workshop for close to half a year now and this might have been in their list for part 2 already. we will never actually know

I was so happy when I heard rell seas was actually putting so much effort into ships, I love ship combat in games and its my favorite part of games like arcane odyssey and they put so much work into the customization of your ship and custom creating it.
It was always so disappointing to me when fruits made ships completely obsolete in every one piece games when so much of one piece is about sailing the ocean I think ship combat will be so much more entertaining when using your own ship how you designed it rather then just charging up an ability and blowing up every ship in a 10 kilometer radius with a sun sized attack or firing 100 projectiles all over the place.
tbh i love arcane odyssey to death, but if vetex doesn't add stuff like the staying on the ship thingy it would be hard to come back
(also in general the customization you can do for rell seas ships is just too crazy)

I was confused why they suddenly implemented being able to fight on ships in blox fruits despite 90% of battles being on land and they only decided to do something like this now after rell seas did it despite being made in 2019
a lot of players were complaining about movement on ships espicially with the new sea exploration update, but the timing does seem like blox fruits decided to copy/take inspiration from rell seas.

I think Rell seas as a game is 100% gonna surpass blox fruits but in player count i dont see how the kids and the blox fruits fans are gonna play a more complex game so blox fruits is gonna have more of a player count I think.
I've seen quite a lot of blox fruits players say they like rell seas and can't wait to play it. Someone of them are starting to release blox fruits is a bad low quality game so l wouldn't be sure about that, let's just wait and see.

As a long time blox fruit player, im happy blox fruit is finally getting some competion. blox fruit is forced to push himself to maybe stay on top. In result, blox fruit will be a more enjoyable experience. Rell seas is pushing the limit of anime roblox game to create new one and i'm all for it.

its not for pvp its for the new update (update 20) where the npcs are so anoying so basicly you need 5 people on the same boat to be able to spawn levithan but npcs are so anoying bc they dmg the players and the boat and if you try to kill em you fall off the boat and the drivers always suck so they wont even come back to get you

Only thing ill say is, even if devil fruits "overpower" ships i dont think it will "delete" the ship aspect at all. personally i feel like JUST like in the show, A strong devil fruit or strong haki has its way, BUT (read below)
I can see rell's idea being the case for like an ancient weapon like pluton (which is a ship).
imo only certain devil fruits should "overpower" ships in terms of travel only not actual ship battle, so like pika should be faster than a ship in travel terms but shouldn't be able to fight 1 on 1 and destroy big warships with ease. That way people can choose certain fruits for travel while also using their ships from time to time for sea content.
i really hope that rell seas actually accomplish the whole ending the cash grab era of anime games thing and actually make devs be more innovative and make great games rather another copy and paste cash grab game
Tbh Blox fruits isn’t a cash grab. You can get everything for free apart from other small bonuses sure perm fruits seem like pay to win but every fruit has its potential for the right build. In the end when your max and have a few good fruits it’s all even playing field

As much as I'm excited for rell seas, I don't think it can ever surpass Blox fruits in player count. Blox fruits caters to "all ages" in a sense, it's easy to pick up, and it's simplicity is what makes it so popular. Rell seas could be the objectively better game but because Blox fruits caters to such a wide audience, itll always probably be the bigger game, however, I hope roblox proves me wrong. The same reason why fortnite got so popular is the same reason why Blox fruit is popular as well

This reminds me a lot of the beef between Fortnite and apex, on how Fortnite took the Reboot ban and the pinging system from apex. An already big game taking assets from the small game to keep the audience. At the end both had their communities and they keep going so I guess that’s what’s going to happen

Honestly, I'm glad Bloxfruits is updating their game because of some friendly competition however, I don't see Bloxfruits beating Rell seas in quality because Bloxfruits would have to remake their whole game.

idk if anybody else has said this but I wouldn't be surprised if Rell Seas was taking a lot about ships, adventuring, and open progression from Arcane Odyssey. From the previews shown they're adding the same kind of ship combat and customization, maybe same hunger system(but I really hope not hunger system would be garbage), open progression and skill leveling like with fishing/cooking/etc, now its not an original idea for arcane these are things many mmos have along with open progression and *sometimes* do w/e you want to progress. But I'm still hype for rell seas to come out since its OP and the first idea of an open progression anime roblox game I think I've ever seen. (Don't flame me not saying they copying or nothing just that these are good ideas for an adventure game and nobody pointed it out)
I'm honestly pretty excited for the grounded style this is looking like it'll have but I just hope you still get to FEEL powerful as a high level. A pretty major issue with a lot of grounded games is that you just don't.. FEEL as strong as you are. That's not a bad thing in a game like dark souls or even deepwoken (for a roblox example) but idrk how I'd feel about that in a one piece game.. Imagine shanks getting parried and wombo combo'd getting several ribs broken by some dude with a 1 million bounty.

Inspiration and copying are two completely different things and it wouldve taken a while for them to code this "ship combat" so no they didnt steal or copy anyone they just simply had the same idea as them and its most than likely a coincidence.

They had 4 year to do so but only did it exactly like rell seas did after rell seas released their video, being glued to ships isn't necessary as Levi and sea beast hunts aren't done on ships for the sea events you must keep ypu ships far away to stop it from taking damage, adding one cannon that is usable was unnecessary as it's not required in blox fruits, why did they only do so now when people complained about hiw bad blox fruits ship mecahnics are for year and only decided to copy rell seas now when they ajd so many years, it's no coincidence at all as they didn't need to say it was just a minor fix when they completely revamped the boats by 200%
The only reason for you to be saying that staying on your ship in blocks fruits isn’t important is if you haven’t played recently because trying to get to Leviathan and getting attacked by all sorts of sea creatures, without being able to fight back because you’ll get launched off the ship is a pain that always ends with someone having to stay back so for blocks fruits, indeed it is a small fix for them but it’s still something that makes sense for them to add and I’m probably just gonna stick to blocks fruits. I prefer using my avatar in the game instead of having a specific limit to what I can dress as plus a big thing for me is going to be how will the impel down system affect gameplay like if someone goes to impel down will they be able to escape anytime soon I’ll probably play the game just a test to see what that’s like and then go back to blocks fruits is my favourite ark

You kinda have a point but at the same time you don't because in bloxfruits you can buy permanent fruits and have more than one fruit of same kind in the storage so realistically all you have to do is get like a mammoth or a buddha or sum like ice and magma that can walk on water and then after you are done crafting all new equipment and farming leviathans ship combat will be pointless and you can go back to your main fruit because of those 2 gamepasses so it's just a short term improvement and i can name even more reasons why rell brothers are better and why their games are more fun to play actually imma name one and that's community&one shot combos in their games there is no one shot shot combos and with that there is no easy way to win in pvp which drags toxic kids away from the game and pulls those that want to put some effort in the game and actually get good at it so basically that's the reason why they have healthier community and why ppl enjoy playing their games more
@@matejaglisic5537 blocks versus combat is based off of speed. The main objective is avoiding combos and then using combos and it really slows it down. If you have to wait for someone to catch up because you have to stop the ship since the ships or faster than magma, ice or anything like that not many fruits are faster than the main boats being used

Honestly I'm not that big of a shindo life fan, vv ptw game and it's combat is super spammy. I'm happy that they decided to change up how they make their games and I REALLY hope that this has as big of an effect on roblox games as ppl say it will.

to be honest, rell seas is peak. but if all the combat is gonna be around close combat, it wont be SO good. all the ultimates i saw were close-ranged. and most of the pvp they showcased was close-ranged. it will get boring fast.... but maybe they have more coming out i don't really know.

I don’t really consider this to be beef that much. Rell seas implemented that system to improve ship combat while Blox fruits used it so people aren’t falling of boats when sea hunting for terror shark, sea beast, leviathan, etc. they used it for different reasons and Blox fruits called it a “relatively small fix” because it is really just a small big fix. Idk that’s just my opinion on the situation.

Just like how in the rell seas movie when they were showcasing the ability to fight and properly move on ships for WHATEVER reason they mentioned "a paid access sea game" (deepwoken) didnt have it. I think people are wirding it off. I think what they meant is that ships will not be destroyed easily using devil fruits. I dont think they meant that ships would exactly be stronger than fruits overall.
the new boats in blox fruits originally made it so if you even jumped you would get stuck and because of the leviathan sea event being able to walk on the ship was important thats probably why they made the boat fix
I don't want to hear nothing from a game where 80% of the gameplay is to loop farm npcs. i dont think rell will ever come close to the amount of players blox fruits has amassed but if they drop mobile/xbox day one with little to know issues i can see it reaching 80-100k, its where a majority of roblox players are so accessibility is kinda key for numbers.

Honestly Rip_Indra, King Redhead, Rell Bad and Rell Sin are all really good and really diligent creators and if they could get along and put all this drama behind they could help each other on these games and both Rell Seas and Blox Fruits could both rule the Roblox algorithm with an iron fist

People still play it but OG Fortnite had numbers never seen before. The downfall was because of apex and call of duty war zone and also bad content updates. The game will fall just not immediately.

Will Rell Seas surpass Blox Fruits?
No I do not think so. I have high doubts Rell Seas can compete with Blox Fruits. I think Rell Seas will only have as much players as Deepwoken has once it has been released for over a week.
It doesn't matter how much effort you put into a game, even if it surpasses what Blox fruits has. The main demographic of roblox mostly consist of people below the age of 13. As we have seen with Arcane Odyssey, if i am correct, that game peaked at 100k players on release but fell down to around 5kish players. It has all these cool things yet it hasnt surpassed Blox Fruits. The reason why I think blox fruits is still at where it is now is because of its gameplay loop and combat.
The Rell Seas effect
I personally do not believe Rell Seas will change that standard of Roblox games. Making high quality games on Roblox is more of a risk while you can just make a cheap simulator and make easy thousands of dollars. Sure it might motivate passionate developers about their games but it definately wont change the standard. If simulators/bandit beaters still will be played by the Roblox community then they'll just keep on coming.
I don't think you should hate on Rell Seas or Blox Fruits as they are both great games
deepwoken and AO released with limited amount of stuff to do and dont have the hype rell seas does, both those game take forever to update and hence people forget about them, till this day AO still doesnt hasnt added anything to their story and deepwoken devs are just toxic and lazy.

Crazy how when the Devs of Blox Fruits got caught for stealing most of their designs from A One Piece Game and even much smaller One Piece games on Roblox, they instantly wanted to point fingers at the RELL bro's for stealing stuff from them (the Blox Fruits' Dev's) and other people.

Honnestly I'm rooting for rell seas. Blox fruits became dumb. Pvp sucks and is unbalanced. The grinding system is boring af. And the lag increase in the recent update killed t even more for me.
I personally think that RELL Seas isn't gonna kill Blox Fruits, because Blox Fruits just keeps the kids playing and RELL Seas is gonna be targeted to older and more mature players so I don't think the Blox Fruits playerbase would enjoy actual gameplay and would just prefer braindead grinding.
