My dog passed away and about two weeks after that I was in my backyard, feeling lonely really missing him and crying for him. That's when a hungry black and white cat appeared, very scared but he kept meowing from a distance. I fed him and he never left, it's been a year now
They do that - cats chose YOU. Someone came back to say Hey it will be okay.
Get him used to you getting closer, make him a good shelter and let that little fella know he's safe with you - inside the house!
This happened to me like 2 or 3 months ago...This stray cats came to my house and gave birth to 5 kittens.....
Unfortunately the mother and other 2 kittens died. But the other 3 still doing good and happy to live with me
Question guys : Why does my cat show me his belly everytime I come in to the house but won't let me pet him or rub him in the belly? Does he hate me or is it just a cat thing?
I mean, Ik a lot of cat stuff but sometimes it feels like he just hates me.
Aww❤️❤️

Yoshi ! Thank you so much... for sharing the love.
I absolutely enjoyed watching this video very much !
We are so lucky to have the pleasure of watching her adorable new cat.
Love it ! Love it !
You’re damn right
Oh, I've told you the story of How I Got My Cats, then?
Not really. Dorable was a feral rescue I trapped by Being Nice and Having Food.
Lmao
Looks like my boy sam he showed up at the factory . Clearly had been dumped . He was super friendly and would come in the factory and approach the guy's. Well I took him home and don't regret it . A real lap cat .
You're a good man Ron.
I had a cat drop by one day 2 years ago. Very friendly. I looked after fr abut a week and it wanted in the house. My wife said no to that. I grew up with cats, but my wife grew up with cats being a barn animal. So when we got married we had to take my brother's cat. So then we had cats in the house. I saw it as good for the kids also. So we became cat people. After a few years I started to be allergic to cat fur, but also horse hair, etc. And most dogs hair. However I was given a Siberian HUSKY in 1992 while away on a job. He was 2 years old. That was when I discovered that sites do not have fur or hair. They have "Down", so I was not allergic.
So we had to give up the cat. But he had adopted us, and had picked us, so I felt responsible for him. So we took him to the vet office and got him "fixed", got him his shots, and asked how much it would cost to get him adoptable. $150,00. So we made a donation of that amount to try and make sure he was adoptable, we monitored the web site for a few weeks, visited him virtually, and after a few weeks, when everything was OK, he disappeared off the website.
❤❤
God bless you and Sam!
The title is misleading. It should read:
“Cat discovers humans living above his den and demands the food, attention, warmth, he deserves and are due to said kitty!”
very true.
"...and toys, blankets, sofas, beds etc..."
Cat discovers humans living on his den and demands that they pay their rent
indeed, indeed... The Agency sent him new staff.
😏
This is pretty much the story of my cat. She showed up one day, and decided “I live here now” we started feeding her and holding her, and then got her a cat house cuz once it was pouring rain and she was huddled under a chair outside so we had to get her a house. She is so spoiled now. :)
Edit: her name is caddy.
Life.....
Aww
Awhh cute story. This happens a lot.
One morning i woke up with like a strange noise. I ignored it. But the noise became louder and louder. I checked outside the window and saw a black little kitten. I looked at her like: This is home now. Just those small eyes and the fact she was a walking furr ball. But i also got her checked at the vet. Maybe she had a chip). She’s next to me purring now 🥰
awww
aw!!
You realize what a bad state of sadness and anger people are in when you see the number of dislikes on videos like this. It really makes you realize that some people are struggling so much that instead of feeling happy and inspired, they imagine something negative. I hope all the animals have a good life and that all the people that are in such a bad place they can't see joy will one day find it.
I feel sorry for them :(
@Flightstuff I dont really think so? Because this channel only compiles the different stories and videos other people have plus you can really feel the love these owners have to their pets.
I'd not mind at all. The like/dislike ratio in this video shows there's more good than bad people in the world.
with the amount of people that have seen this a huge portion of the dislikes could just be something as simple as not liking the music thats in the video, just because they pressed dislike doesnt mean they have to hate animals finding happiness
That's a very kind wish and I whole heartedly join you.
That was not a feral cat. He has had interaction with humans before... he knows them as a source of food and shelter. Beautiful boy.
Cat be like at the ending:
"Okay, food water, and warmth- oh and pets. I'm moving in."

It took me 18 months of feeding a sitting there talking to him to get my feral cat to walk in my door. He's been with me for 5 years now and he's still uncertain about any human except me. No, this cat is not feral. He's a sweet guy.
That takes a lot of work to tame a feral cat. Good job!
I'm not surprised he still doesn't quite trust other people though. You can't really blame him though.
I was about to say, it's amazing how patient this family was with him. Letting him get used to the carrier and stuff instead of just pushing him into it. Sounds like you did the same thing. So incredible!
I doubt he was really feral and was actually a stray. Feral cats are born and raised in the wild without humans.
be priceless.. The world needs ppl like you. Patience, caring, and honest Love. 🐱🐈
@@vinny_rivera IMHO, he's a feral because most strays will warm up to humans quickly because they've been in contact with people before. Ferals on the other hand take a lot of time and effort to become comfortable with humans. Even with years of human contact some will never trust other people aside from the one feeding them regularly. Thus, he's most likely a "tamed" feral rather than a stray.
The fact he let you pet his belly, well gosh, that’s the ultimate comfort test with cats 🐈
My bf's very affectionate cat won't even let him touch it for more than a moment and he's basically her mom. I think that's because the family didn't give her the pain medication when she got spayed, she might've been in so much pain for a while that now she's scared of people going near her tummy.
Cats usually have sensitive bellies
Yes!!!. It sure is. ❤
@@Davepool-hs7vr Yes, they do!!!. ❤
@@moomyung9231 Poor thing!!. 😢
This cat isn't feral. Difference between feral cats and stray cats:
Ferals exist independently of humans, and have never been properly socialized with humans as kittens. They are often the offspring of stray or feral cats. By and large, they never learn to enjoy being pet or coddled as adults and prefer to avoid close interactions with humans at all costs.
Stray cats have been socialized with humans at an appropriate age to develop some trust for them. Many strays have learned to distrust some humans, but CAN learn to trust others. They can easily enjoy being pet and snuggled by trusted humans.
Some do turn in their feral cards.
Agreed. His eyes at 2:21 say it's not his first time in a car.
Yes, it was instantly clear to me that this was a stray and, furthermore, a very good boi.
I took in two feral cats and it took approx 5 to 7 years before what I would call being socialized. They would jump if I moved to quickly or hearing a sudden or loud noise. One thing oddly that helped was one got out and I thought well he's gone. When he did show up after 3 weeks I could tell he was more appreciative of being inside and we grew into a close bond, he never tried that again. Sadly he passed but his sister is still here and after 10 years I have to say she's happy to be an inside cat. Feral cats are hard to raise and domesticate is my experience, probably best just to spay or neuter them and release but with tons of patience can make good pets.
@@johnwheet7037 yeah but that's like making a raccoon a pet you still shouldn't do it they are born wild they should stay wild
I've not seen that colour cat before, he's beautiful.
He’s so pretty ❤️
I live in a trailer park. We got them in every color. And some like him too
Gray tabby 😺🐱😸🐈. I am the cat lady and I have many tabbys.
I got a tabby not to long ago his name is timmy
Here at my household we have 3, 2 boys and a girl and boy are they some real character's the oldest boy only comes into our bedroom to get snacks and bug daddy for them, the youngest boy he's a mama's boy, he tolerates me but he only plays on mom, and our girl she is our youngest of all and she is a talker and loves to play with just about anything she could bat around the house, we named all of our cats from the video game Halo characters and she plays up to her character, she is named Sadie from Halo 3 ODST, the story line one finds with the phones and computers!
Like I said, I'd never change my lifestyle over my animals! They are our kids, and act like them too, they act like a bunch of teenagers fighting over the TV set when we go to bed, the alphas sleep by our heads and the rest either sleep in between us or on us!
And our puppy (a 120 lbs German Shepherd) and he too is a mama's boy he sleeps on the floor by my better half and only lays down by me if he got himself into trouble with either mama or papa.
I love how yoshi immediately marked her as his territory. He is adorable. He may have been abandoned.... he is too well mannered to b feral.
I have a feral cat in English she’s called peach and she has kids she made babies with a black cat and one of them died but it’s all good now
One day a cat showed up at my mom's house. He was hiding in a bush outside, and we tried to get him to come out but he wouldn't.
I had come over so we could all go to ikea. We were gone for probably 6 hours and when we got back, the cat walked right into the house as we were bringing stuff in. I guess he decided he wasn't shy after all.
We all thought, "well, we can't just tell him he doesn't live here because he seems so confident". He never left.
Can we all just take a second to notice how beautiful he is
She says we weren’t sure if he was feral or dumped. I’m not pretending to be an expert, but I’d say one look at that fur and that behavior should tell us he’s not feral.
Yeah, that's not true feral behavior. This cat knew people. Might not have been around them for long, but did know people. True ferals would never let themselves be touched, it would take a year just to stop getting bitten and clawed. Heck I have a feral outside of my hosue that is a wonderful outdoor cat (we did trap and spay her) but after 7 years we can still only pat her while she 's sitting in front of us kneeled down or sitting down. She runs away at any movement or noise and would rip me apart if I tried to pick her up. I did get her in the house 2x but she does not want to be inside.... so I feed her and she's got her own kitty house outside that she loves.
maybe not dumped. Some cats go out and DO get lost.
WINNING Dumped or lost or just decided to attach itself to another household for whatever reason. Who knows? I don’t, but I’m pretty confident in saying that not a cat that’s grown up feral.
It isn't true feral behavior due to that fact that it didn't take long for the cat to grow used to the humans. I have a few ferals who live with me and it took my my oldest around 2 years to let us pet her let alone take her inside.
Feral kittens do act like this actually. There is a window when they can be socialized quickly and be adopted
I live near several large feral colonies and I also worked in open intake shelters, feral kittens are extremely social and maybe its because you have to be social to leave your colony and join a new one or to be better integrated in your existing colony. Stray pets are usually much less shy, usually.
The care and time y’all took to make sure he was comfortable is amazing.
Exactly! They seem to le real animal lovers.
Right?! She actually had the patience to get the cat comfortable with being indoors and even in a cat carrier on his own terms. I don't consider myself insensitive to animals' feelings but I would've just used a trap to bring him to the vet at least lol.
@@clairekaplan7417 It was really on the animals terms, very cool.

Crazy cat Dad here. Cats are the best companion to have! The more humans I meet, the more I love my cats..
Cat is so precious and smart he knows who takes care of him and give him a loving home and family
You’re right, that’s why cats end up aggressive and angry in some homes. Because those homes aren’t proper homes for a cat.
Feral? He looks like a designer cat! He's one of the cutest cats I've ever seen.
Yes, he's stunning.
I agree he is adorable. I have a cat that looks exactly like him and we rescued him as a stray. When I saw this video, I was like, wait that’s my cat xd

Arlo: “Everything was alright until you showed up😒”
He's plotting
He is like a baby. He was destined to be yours. You take so good care of him.
moral of the story: you can't have too many cats. second moral of the story: every cat when treated with love will return that love 10X
They don’t man, I’ve recently been adopted and she basically is giving me the minimum amount of love so I’m crazy in love and will do everything. Cats rule the earth. We’re still no nearer to realising that yet 😉
Well you can have too many cats I would think for an average person a max amount of cats Maybey 3 and it would be good not to have any more than that bc of budget etc...
So fucking true!
Arlo was probably waiting when the Yoshi would finally come inside the house. He’s so chill and friendly towards Yoshi!
Her, “I love him,” at the end, made my whole day 🥰!
I had the exact same experience when I moved into my house 5 years ago the sweetest little cat was living under my porch now she's part of the crew fat happy and spoiled in the house with all of us ❤️
This is why I believe cats adopt humans and not the other way around. 🥰
Oh absolutely no doubt! it's happened 3-4 times at my house already in 15 years!...as soon as one cat goes, another one shows up within 6 months...
We have a big Stone porch and they really seem to like the area underneath for shelter & warmth...plus they get fed by us everyday...
We've had a black cat nick-named "Shiny" Cat because of her shiny beautiful fur. she was a petite little gal who really trusted men, especially me...it took a little while to warm up to us..not too long tho
Then we have big ol boy Bruce! orange and white with a big ole head... I like him a lot. So, so sweet..Warmed up to us immediately. It felt so neat/unusual for me to finally see a cat that was a boy. Being as large as he is, because we've always had smaller girl cats...
Bruce roams the neighborhood and got very skinny, @ one point we were quite worried about him throwing up after her ate..but now..... he is a Very Chubby happy Boy! It's funny to watch him fit through places.. I don't mind that he is Chubby because he was sick and very skinny. Bruce spends his time roaming around his neighborhood territory. I believe several neighbors feed Bruce thinking they're the only ones doing so! Plus he's so sweet.
He has a Huge territory and walks through a lot of woods just to get to all the different houses around. Every time I see an orange & white I think of Bruce and how sweet those cats are...
Bruce wanted a girlfriend with black Shiny Kitty, but she was having NO part of that😂
Then we had a normal sized White & Black gal named Luna..🐱
💯
I guess this cat chose the right house. Full of loving and caring hoomans and cool existing cat. 💖👍
We found our second cat we took in living under the overhang on our roof where she found a hole. We started feeding her and she finally became comfortable living in our home. We later realized that she was leaving her treats and toys at our door as a tribute to us. She passed 15 years ago and she is still missed.
So great how gently you treated him so he wouldn't be scared - people don't always realize how frightened pets get in new situations - lucky Arlo!
44 dislikes because they envy no cat ever chose them as their humans .
Agreed! They're just jelly.
Nah, actually those are from dogs whose humans fell asleep without turning off their computers.
@Seeing Through maybe the cats didn’t like you as much?
SAY WHAT⁉️😱
I'm tempted to thumb down for ice in wine.
I mean really :)
Yoshi showing his belly is a sign of submission. He’s basically letting Arlo know that you’re still in charge
According to the video it was Arlo doing the flopping and belly showing. Arlo was obviously keen to make friends. 😍
Maybe they were playing
That's dogs. For kitties I think flopping is an invitation to play, not submission. Still super, super cute making friends 😭❤
@@eps3154 it’s submission for both, for a predatory animal to get as vulnerable as to show their guts/belly shows they trust the other animal :)
Cats aren't dogs, laying down on their back is a viable defensive maneuver for them.
The patience is so beautiful. My baby Charlie was a feral kitten. It took alot of time but he is so worth it.
He chose his family 🥰because he knew you were the best for him 👏🏻
Definitely looks like a dumped cat based on his pelt condition, and the fact that he immediately seemed more comfortable around humans than a feral cat would be, even if he was a little scared.

Beautiful story. I've had many cats in my lifetime and (like Yosh-Imosh) every one of them has found and adopted me. As much as we think we take care of them, they do so much more for us. I have found cats to be great companions - always affectionate, loyal, and just happy to see you. Qualities we humans should strive to have.
Such a great rescue. Thank you for rescuing him. Please keep him inside and safe 💞
As they say “You don't choose a cat, a cat chooses you."
What about my situation though? I had a black kitty that was a total marshmallow and an indoor cat and one day he just BOLTED out the door and came back with a kitten in his mouth and just plopped him on my foot like "care for him minion".

Apparently there's such a thing as a "cheating cat" which is a cat with an owner but the cat roams the neighborhood and will stay with various people for several days then disappear for several days. In that case, people recommend you put a paper collar around the cat to let the owner know that their cat is being cared for by other people which is why they disappear.
If I find an unidentified, unsterilized cat then I tell myself that his owner doesn't care that he gets hurt, gets sick, and makes kittens everywhere. He is an irresponsible, who does not deserve a cat. The cat is mine
My next door neighbors cat Onyx used to come in a lot through the cat door to visit me and my cat. It turned out that the he had been "missing" but apparently living full time with me, unbeknownst to any of us. I had assumed he went back home after his visits. We time-shared him for the remainder of his life.
Smart! I lived in a small town where the town cat was just a little food whore. Hed go visit someone and when he was done he'd ask to be let out and we'd just carry him to his house and open the door and throw him in. Lol. People would post on facebook to let the owner know when he was with them. Super independent friendly interesting cat. Got along w the neighborhood raccoons and fox too.
My cat did this. Had multiple adresses for food. Also ended up at the shelter a couple of times lmao
It's not cheating. It's sharing. 💕

Thank you for sharing your life with us and your babies. ❤☺
That cat is pretty
What's not to like! Both cats are so beautiful!!
I love stories like this. Animals are so good at finding people who need them, overcoming fear and abandonment and betrayal with just some pats on the head and a little food. If only humans were this gracious and this forgiving. We could learn a lot from our pets, we really could.
