For years Stoke-on-Trent council have done "NOTHING" in or around Stoke-on-Trent except take & take from the people in the city. Every years the Rate's go up but nothing gets done, when was there a road sweeper around the city..... The councillor sit around colleting there Far Pay check and do nothing for the area 🤬🤬🤬🤬
I just watched your video on Longton. It was eye-opening to see the changes and the number of derelict buildings and boarded-up shops. Your walk and talk format really brought the issues to light. Thanks for keeping us updated on the situation in Stoke on Trent. Looking forward to more of your insights!
24:05 glad you spotted the mural. That was painted to celebrate Belstaff's centenary for events at Gladstone museum in May this year, as this was roughly where the Longton factory was. Like all things to do with manufacturing, UK production of garments both here and in Silverdale (their second factory) were closed down in the late 90's.
Great video, i always share them with my cousin as hes from your town and knows this place well, i guess we are all in one little bubble of our own, great video
where you saw the bottle kilns that was Shellie's there was two shellies as it was two brothers one was know as Shellie's Longton and Shellie's Fenton the one closet to the bridge is the Longton one and it is six towns it used to be 5 until 1910
Can’t understand why the stoke council ain’t spending money on the place and making it somit to be proud of , instead of just Leaving it to look a sh-t hole

Great history but...
Shocking present - everywhere boarded up or broken windows and you look up to trees growing out of buildings.
Bleak future

Thanks the great comments
@@DarylPritchardvideos your welcome 😃
The city has six towns.
You left out Fenton.
Jollees was above where B&M and Wilko are now. The bus station was underneath Jollees years ago.
It would have been so much better if you had asked someone with local (Longton) knowledge about the history of some of the buildings.

That building used to be longton bus station plus on top used to be jollees cabaret club
Whats amazing is how your walking around trying to ignore it .
