Our business which you just walked past on the right Anita Harris Art Pottery has been based here for 7 years. The 3 small cottages. Are just a facade they are no longer cottages. There is a garage car repair shop right behind them literally no rooms just the front and sides. The story of voices and smoke are likely true but from the business right behind the doors! Also the voices are from there and from our Pottery studio. It is a lovely little cobbled Street and our building right by the short street sign has the most welcoming atmosphere. Sorry to disappoint but this has been our work home for years and it is very welcoming. If you look on the old maps it was originally called Secret Alley shame the name was ever changed.

The oven mentioned as being a frit kiln isn't - it's a standard bottle-oven.There IS a frit kiln very nearby, but it's behind Short Street in Heath's Passage.

You should check out the church up the road, I used to walk from Dresden to the bus stop on Normacot road and it was always the church that gave me the creeps! 😂 Great channel.✌

I agree that church is very creepy! The overgrown graveyard does it no favours!

I must say I really don't understand why no one lives in these house's they look really nice. If they where in London or Bristol they would cost quite a lot .I don't know if they have a small amount of yard or garden out at the back? What a wast to be borded up and not lived in. I'm an old Stoke man living in Portugal and often feel nostalgic for the pottery's .I was born in Hanley 1940 Shelton actually 😂like your videos Keep making them.

There was a fire in the houses aout 20 (?) years ago and only the frontages survive - the rear sections are used as garages.

Hi Marie, I agree landscape would be better- this was the first video I filmed on the iPad and I had very little time to prepare so I'm still figuring it out.
