I worked in Kidsgrove/Butt Lane in the 1960s and 1970s at the English Electric company and my wife worked at International Computers in West Avenue. That was before we shot off to Australia in 1981. Those were the days.

Long time since I've seen my old paper round from the early 80's. Starting at Ravenscliffe Road then along Windmill Avenue and Stone Bank Road finishing off at Mount Pleasant. No wonder I'm knackered now I'm in my fifties.

Thank you for seeing the buildings, the cleanliness and the size of Stafford. Moved here 20 0dd years ago and never regretted it. It was busier then, all shops open, busy town centre. You captured many of the lovely buildings and streets and there are many more within a stones throw of where you walked. Then there's the Castle. We're right next to Shugborough and Cannock Chase, plus the location of Stafford in the middle of the country with road and rail links to anywhere in the country. I would move here again in a heartbeat. The people here are friendly, we have an Army/RAF base. and we are the County Town.
