- More insane action from the recent swell to hit the north shore of Oahu. Pro bodyboarders and surfers were out in force to take advantage of the beefed up Pipe pits.. and of course Kevin Starr, there to film everything that went down.

Such a sick edit & it brings me so much happiness to see the perpetual divide between Standups & Boogers being narrowed more & more as time passes. Respect given where respect is due, regardless of wavecraft. A huge contast from when I was growing up in the early 90's as a Bodyboarder, when we were just seen as the enemy/visa versa. "The best surfer is the one having the most fun." That sentiment rings true to this day.
Thanks mate! This is exactly it.. I get comments from time to time complaining that i am including surfers waves in the session edits, but i say, why not. We are all in there enjoying the ocean and if a stand up surfer is charging alongside the bodyboarders i am not going to throw away thier clips, just because they are standing. It's just petty.
@WeBodyboard_Official I totally agree, I spent the majority of my formative years of life in Bodyboarding with the 'we Vs them' mentally, with ultimately with nothing to gain from it. The fact that the 'playing field' is on relatively equal grounds now, is a huge step towards true unity & respect, regardless of what we choose to ride. ✌️
@@Someguy_8e2 Right on mate, same for me being a grommie in the 90's.. there was always a huge divide. Glad to see things are changing now!

Only in bodyboard surfing videos do we ever show stand-up surfing shots alongside bodyboarders in a positive light. But when it comes to the opposite videos bodyboarders are almost always depicted in a negative image if they choose to put a clip of one in.
I would have agreed with you a while back but things are changing. All the mega popular vloggers like JOB, Nathan Florence, Surfing Visions etc are including the good boogie waves from the sessions. 👌
