Another way is put a baloon on..leave it overnight..it will tell a story
Simply spray some bubbly solution onto the valve to see if there are any bubbles. Don't need to run your car for 30 minutes.
Mine is so bad that after i vacuumed my system and removed the hoses the low pressure side port was sucking in so much air to where when i put my finger over it i could feel it trying to pull my fingers skin in lol

Paul, I have been trained as an Automotive Mechanic in !964, but I have a problem with a 2002 f-150 4.6 V8 which is newer than My training. The truck starts just fine and idles fine for about 30 seconds then the engine wants to die like You turned the ignition switch off. The only way to keep the engine running is by use of the foot feed as the truck seems to be starving itself. The engine will always start back up if it die's. After the engine reaches normal operating temperature the engine idles fine and will not die. Do You have a solution for My problem? I appreciate Your testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The High pressure side is highest when you have the AC on, while the Low pressure side is at its highest when the system is off and both sides eventually equalized. So, the best time to check each of them differs.. The system does not get pressurized when you turn on the system. The Low side decreases, while the High side increases when the AC compressor turns on. You are not inflating the system as you would with a tire.
I have been scratching my head about my car AC misbehaving. I did notice a little "pop" from the schrader valve cap when i pulled the cap off one of the valves when replacing the expansion valve during some of the under-hood adventures (that was fun), but I never made the association between the two until watching your video. Next is to play the waiting game for parts arrival.

When checking the schrader valve leak with the gauges, will the high pressure side rises as well? Because mine did and the low pressure with both closed
I have swapped one on my wife’s vehicle and it’s still leaking, I feel I cleaned it fairly well but I was thinking of just replacing the line section for $50
I swapped the suction line on my wife’s car once but the valve core problem persisted.
Thanks for the video . Quick question , the water test on the schrader valve is only for the high side? Or can you do it on the low side too?

@@proclaimliberty2000 .. Just a follow up question.. if you look inside by the shrader valve with the uv light and you see the green dye all over in there.. that's normal from the filing on the low side ? Correct? Though i guess if it's on the high side then it's a leak.
