Thank you man, it's something I've thought about for years debating if it's something I wanted to do. And I feel like I can't just die with the knowledge so if it helps someone go on to take care of their family like it did for me, Then that was GODs plan. My greatest accomplishment so far in this trade... Was a helping a Foreigner that was a garbage man at a previous job that wanted to become a Painter I worked with him off the clock for a year and he went on to work at a local Car dealership making well over $100k a year. I have the trophy Truck Ltd edition with just the Titania cap in 1.2 and 1.3 and only spray solvent. Never tried any other caps as was told to stick to the Titania cap unless your into water based paints. How about doing a comparison which includes the Titania versus your green & blue caps. I reckon the Titania cap is your way to go for sure with both base & clear using solvent based paints
The Titania cap in the 4600 Xtreme is not the same as Titania Pro in the Trophy Truck and La Catrina. Titania is multi purpose, Titania Pro is only for clear.
I got 3 sagola 4500 one was given to me from my aunts husband he bought it like 15 years ago only used it once and I bought 2 off one of the workers at my local paint supplier, what’s your thoughts should I get the 4600 if I already got the 4500? Man them 4500 amazing guns I use one for base one for clear and one for single stage
I had a Sagola probably 20 years ago I'm not sure the model there was no UA-cam to find info but the gun sprayed awesome, needed a seal and couldn't find one so I tossed the gun. I'm not sure if what you have is the same gun but the 4600 is 10x better than the old model I had. And if yours is similar to what I had it would be a great upgrade.

Thanks for sharing. Your skills helped to pull this job as Sagolas never that great for silvers. You have to tap & dance around it. I started with previous models 4500 xtreme. Have both now, have multiple tips, nozzles and caps. Sagolas are fantastic for wet on wet sealer, single stage and clear. I love it. It can be a very quick gun for either of these jobs. Laying metallic is not its strong point. Very prone to mottling. It is also true that some paint systems are also more prone to mottling as well. Also with Sagola use a slower reducer, it gives a chance for metallics to orient itself properly. Final effect coat is a must for silver and pearls. In every setup if you run at 29psi as recommended it over-atomizes. Clear or Aqua cap is best for silvers. Titania great for sealers. HVLP is trash, just wasting lots of air. Spray base between 18-23, Clear at 23-25.
I have the 4600 xtreme with 1.3xl. Clear cap and Titania pro cap are the only ones I have. I absolutely love the clear cap. Fast wet application. Titania pro cap is a bust for me. I tried it for clear with 2 different clears and I didn’t care for the finish. It was more of a tighter Japanese type finish which is easy to get with any gun. Also tried it for solvent base (ultra bc8) and also didn’t really think it was anything special. Slams the paint on too hard. Ok for solids but for metalics I go with ls400 or my Prolite te10 cap

Sata 5500 rp has 18 cap combinations. I and o caps that are sets of a bunch of water and solvent based at different sizes. We use a solvent 1.4 I cap at my work

I was told I “have it” so spraying with it came pretty easy to me. Like I said I always get runs in the sealer if I get one. My guess is that it’s 3-1-10% and everything else is 2-1 so maybe it’s heavier and wants to run easier.

I just realized you are not using 3M PERFORMACE GUN. Any reason for it? I bought it just to see it, mostly keeping it on the wall with a wet bed ready to be sprayed and using it as a back up gun.
It's nothing that has ever been introduced to me. So I don't really have any knowledge of it. I pretty much just stick to what I know, I'm in a dinosaur shop pretty outdated, so everything I know is what I came with and what I learn at classes I attended to keep up with my certifications. Which I don't mind. Half of the shit out here now is all gimmicks. Flash lights and Bluetooth spray guns 🤣 hard to teach an old dog new tricks. 🤷🏽♂️
Base coat DVR cap? There is only one cap for for the DVR base gun to my knowledge. I've done a few videos on that gun. Tell me specifically what you want to know and I got you 💪🏼

The black widow hte dose good for most of things I'm doing as full sprays but for blending might not be the best.

Hey Trigger, hope your doing well brother. When I first started painting around 23 years ago. I started with just a cheap one until I could get a Sata Jet 2000. I used that thing for like 20 years. I used it for base and clear. I had only one cap with a 1.4 tip. That thing would do magic man. I never used any other guns since the Sata was knocking the jobs out of the ballpark. I gave it a repair kit last year and never worked the same. So I'm barely going into several well known guns this year. I'll be getting the Walcom Carbodio 360 base and clear and that will be it for paint guns for a while. I loaded up on a half price special on some really good guns that I wanted to take advantage of. I just gotta get em dialed in. No more Sata lol!!!! I'm just absorbing your info and just keep on sprayin. Keep up the great work man. Blessings

Walcom caps are just like Sata, they make different size caps for your needle size, robbery 😡

I agree with the HVLP being trash. They should just take that cap off the market. I normally use my devilbiss GTI or DV1 for Metallics.
