- Sweet Magnolias Season 2 Ending Explained, Sweet Magnolias season 2 didn't end in a car accident, but there were several shocking developments.
Plenty of surprises were handed to the Magnolias in the finale, which honored the life and death of the beloved Miss Frances (Cindy Karr). Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Helen (Heather Headley) and Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) honored their dear friend's passing with the exact flair and heartwarming manner she would have wanted - but the celebration of life wasn't the only event in Serenity in the finale.
Ryan (Michael Shenefelt), who returns for his aunt's funeral, asks Helen to marry him just as she's moved on; a woman with a grudge against Dana Sue returns to town; and Bill (Chris Klein) delivers the devastating news to Maddie that he is Isaac's (Chris Medlin) biological father. Making Maddie's life even more complicated: Cal's (Justin Bruening) anger gets the best of him when he gets arrested after a fight at Sullivan's. Serenity ended the season on a not-so-serene note.

Just finished season 2 and it was amazing. I think I felt so many emotions in this season. Looking forward to season 3. Please do not turn Cal into a monster. He is so good for Maddie and the boys.
I think they already did. I highly doubt if/when season 3 come along Maddie and Cal won't be together.
@@jehustrachan6015 Cal is worst than Bill! How can Maddie stay with Cal after finding out that he has a assault and battery charge? At least Bill doesn't. Bill said that he had slept with a black girl during high school before him and Maddie got serious about their relationship and he just found out. The black woman kept it a secret from him for years. So how can Maddie be that furious about Issac being his son when he's a grown man now? Bill didn't even raise him and he was adopted.

It's obvious his temper comes from his last relationship. The black girl was kept from her own son you really think she was going to tell him ESPECIALLY with the mother she has? Maddie got upset because that's an extra hurt on to the hurt that she's still trying to recover from. Imagine thinking your kids was your husband first and only kids. Then he cheats on you gets someone else pregnant and leaves you his wife to do the right thing for the sweetheart? Yes he's not to blame for him not knowing Issac was his son. But you also can't say Maddie reacted wrong to the news.
@@jehustrachan6015 Yeah but what if Cal ends up putting Maddie & Bill's kids in danger. If Bill wanted to, he could get a no contact court order that keeps Cal away from his kids. It happened to Kate Gosselin from TLC's Reality Series Jon & Kate Plus Eight & Kate Plus Eight. Kate had a no contact order with her son Collin Gosselin in real life. Kate zipped tied him to a chair & made him sleep in the closet. Jon Gosselin didn't know about it until he found his son at the Institution that Kate put him in and she refused to tell Jon where he was.
since yall think the cal will be worse than Bill in season 3, think again. I think that he is still mad about his past and wouldn't have punched him or gotten mad if the guy hadn't shown up. and how you could you say that Bill is better? 🤣 Bill, in my eyes, is absolutely disgusting, he messed up Maddie, you saw how distraught she was after the divorce, until cal came along and he helped her. so I think in season 3, if cal does get arrested, Maddie will get him out and still be with him and help him get through this. just my opinion
Wow... Just finished season 2 and aching in anticipation for season 3.
I kept this series an hold for a while and I'm awestruck. Spirituality, family, friendship, secrets and forgiveness... Who can not admire these values in the times we are in.

LOVED season 2! Just please let Cal remain a great guy. He’s soooo good to Maddie and the boys. I don’t like the path that the show seems to be taking with him
honeslty, i think that him turning "bad" is necessary,( hear me out lol). He has been such a good guy since season 1 but like they've never showed his flaws, he is not perfect and showing that he is felt hypocrite and to be frank something bad needed to happen to break down this perfect persona glass wirtten for the character. Everything started stirring up when he lost the match, it revived some pretty drak and bad memories for him and created a big cloud, questions about his past strarted popping up , us questionning whether the "good guy" of the show was indeed really such a good guy after all. Seeing him from one point of view (the plot and script was obvi made so) led us to believe that no "bad" could come out of this man who's only purpose (in season 1) was to be maddie's hot love interest. But now that he is getting more screen time and that his character is getting more and more involved in each of the magnolias lives, it was necessary for us to know who is really cal maddox? SOO yeah everybody has a dark side, he went through a lot and i think is a very relatable character, good and bad is just a mere perception of ideas and thoughts created by our brain so i think embracing this side of cal is important to fully understand and like him even more. Of course he was going to relapse into the dark side, of course his and maddie's relationship was going to take an unexpected turn and be tested (because uptil now their relationship was "too good to be true" right). Seeing how he is going to rebuild himself (break up with maddie for awhile if it is what it takes) is going to make them only stronger. That being said cant wait for season 3 caus OMG it is i think going to be to best season yet.
Just finished season 2 absolutely hate the way coach story went from nice guy to unstable. I didn’t really like season 2 directions everyone spiteful & back stabbing while saying a blessing to them like that made it okay. The kids have grown more than the adults to maturity.
Oh season 2 has me all over the place. I've cried and laughed and cried. Coach,Dr, the Mayor,PeggyFlushed face.Helen so many thingsThinking face. I loved S2 now please don't make me wait long for S3.
I loved this show wish i could live in serenity i would love to it there. I just finished the second season and i can't wait for the third season. I hope their is alit of seasons for this show.

@@DrPerfectKinda Cheating isn't a crime. What the coach did is a crime. What if he would to hurt the kids? The kids still talk to Bill after he cheated on Maddie with Noreen. Bill was still a kid back in high school when he was with that black woman. Yes, cheating is wrong. Steve Wilkos said on his Talk Show, that if his wife got pregnant with someone else, he would be pissed and say things that he'll later regret. But at no point, he would never bring his kids into it!! Maddie is bring their kids into it and I have a feeling that she's trying to turn the kids against Bill. Just because he cheated on her. The kids weren't even born yet when Bill cheated on Maddie while they were still in high school!!🤬🤦
Just finished season 2 and it was Great. I am not really happy how they turned Cal to be bad at the end.
They missed a huge opportunity to cast Katie Leclerc
The only thing I didnt like was how Dana Sue was so praised so much in season one by her coworkers but i didn't see the connect there. Not a lovable character to me

Just finished watching it Cal and Maddie do belong together. They’re going to be in a sticky sucky. But will work through it. Helen belongs with Eric time to move on from Ryan. Dana Sue is working it out with Ronnie which is cool.
I just finished watching the last of Season 2 I am going to cancel Netflix. This is the second time they left us with a cliff hanger and we don't know if this show will return. They also did the same thing with "Grace & Frankie". I'm done with Netflix.
The show starts with a lot of potential.
The only part that annoys me is the writing is lazy. There’s no plot development and it’s all abruptly resolved, if addressed at all. I mean whatever happened Dana Sue’s stalker?
Like the plot, there’s also no character development. Supporting characters are written in with absolutely no rhyme or reason. Like Trotter is written in as offensively stereotypical. Not sure if the writers have actually ever met a gay person.
But the lack of development on both counts makes it seem like the characters just lash out randomly, without rhyme or reason.

I thought the stalker from the first episode was the Sous chef she fired. Or with the way season 2 ended it could be the crazy lady from the video when Ty tell the sweet magnolias that they had to watch the video. Notice she's the same lady that walked up on Annie and asked if she's Dana She's daughter.
Coach Cal storyline was always kinda there. He's a former playboy famous athlete that quit baseball for unknown reasons. And his ex-wife from season 1 always seemed like she took him to a dark place. And it was revealed in season 2 that she was just not good for him.
Ryan thought by proposing that he would win over Helena heart because of their history. But I'm sure he saw her with Erik.
To be honest if watched season 2 and didn't see character development. Then I don't know what to say..
We saw a different side to Peggy this season but I rewatch season 1. And the signs of her being Isaac's mom was there. Ronnie in the first season was made out to be this lousy drunk n cheater. And in season 2 he showed Dana Sue a different side of him that she hasn't seen in years or probably never even met. Erik story line him opening up his and Issac friendship. And they most character growth in the entire series.

What I don't understand is, how can Maddie say that Bill is worst than Cal, when all he did was cheat on her twice and had 5 children with 3 different women. Bill just found out that Issac was his son and he didn't even raise him. Issac was adopted. Bill doesn't have a criminal history. Cheating isn't a crime. He's a successful Doctor and he NEVER got fired over being violent. I wonder what Bill's reaction would be if he found out that Maddie is allowing Cal be around their kids.🤔🤬

Don’t love season two! I’m from Delaware. Haven’t been referred to as a yankee in a long time! How antiquated! Let me remind you that 1776 is about the military advancements of a slave owning President! Bless your heart!

I really hope the 3rd season won’t be full of religious references, it was almost unwatchable
some of us watch it for that reason ..theres not a not of religious shows out there. so its a matter of preference
