- Hey, guys! Let’s take a look at the personal and family lives of the beautiful cast of Netflix’s romantic drama series Sweet Magnolias.
JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who plays Maddie, is 40 years old. In 2008, JoAnna got engaged to Trace Ayala, who was Justin Timberlake’s childhood friend and personal assistant. At the time, Ayala and Timberlake founded a clothing company together, called William Rast. However, the engagement didn’t last long and in 2009 Garcia started dating baseball player Nick Swisher. They got engaged quickly, in May 2010, and six months later, in December 2010 had a lavish wedding in Florida. JoAnna and Nick have two daughters, one is 7 and the other one is 4.
Heather Headley, who plays Helen, is 45 years old. Unlike her character in Sweet Magnolias, Heather Headley has been happily married for 17 years now and has three children. Heather married her husband, former professional NFL player who played for New York Jets, Brian Musso, in 2003. They met while both attending Northwestern University. Their oldest son is 10 years old, the second son is almost 6, and their baby-daughter was born last April. The beautiful family currently resides in Illinois.
Brooke Elliott, who has the role of chef Dana Sue, is 45 years old. Brooke Elliott appears to be single at the moment, or at least not married. Her Instagram account sheds no light on her life outside of work as she only launched it recently to promote her new Netflix series. In a 2012 interview with Glamour magazine, she said that she had someone special in her life, but that is pretty much everything she has ever revealed about her personal life.

I have watched this series 5X and love it even more each time I watch. My favorite character is Helen. She’s posed, she is the best dress on the show, I love to hear her speak. Her words are to precise and clear.This is by far the best Netflix shop I have ever seen.

I love this show
Thought the first couple episodes were a little campy, but I fell in love with the show! I like Annie the best- Dana Sue’s daughter- or Kyle (maddie’s middle Child) as it’s too hard to choose between the sweet magnolias! I love all the characters and their development. I will be reading the books before the second season comes out! Enjoyed watching this video. Spoiler alert: did not like Cal in last episode- showed his true colors!

I absolutely LOVE Ryan & Helen together! Initially I was swept away with the idea of Eric & Helen. And I do still like them as a potential couple. But there’s something so beautiful about Helen and Ryan together! The familiarity, compatibility, undeniable sparks and what seems as sweet innocent, pure love between them! I would love to see them together in the end.
Hope Eric grows the beard back. It made him look distinguished and complimented him. No beard made him look boyish.
I love Ryan and Helen too but I read somewhere that Ryan doesn't exist in the books so who knows what they'll do w his character

Hi ...I was so hooked to the SMshow...l loved the Season 1...the dynamics between the 3 awesome ladies...I love Maddie..her disciplinary actions need to go in a rule book.I'm crazy about Helen...best attorney ......I have ever seen....and adore Dana Sue... her culinary skills seem top notch....not to miss out on Kyle the sweety n Annie the baby doll... Cal Maddox...ur awesome..Tyler n Ce Ce...stop...ruining Annie's feelings....can't wait to see more of all these back on NTFX...

Love the show, but please ease up on the accents. I’ve lived in the south since 1962 and I don’t know anyone that talks like that. Typical Hollywood!
Wish the father (Chris Klein) used his regular voice. The accent isn't believable. It's kind of distracting. I don't think the viewers would mind if he dropped the accent😊
