sooooo..... 1) the rear sway bar does not mount in the same plane as the mounting surfaces of the control arm mounts; is it better to put a spacer there? Otherwise it won't be perpendicular... and you forgot to add that you will need a longer bolt and a nut (best if its a metal "stop" nut) for the new sway bar mount... (?) 2) what about the brake line attachments? Shouldn't we have to fab something to make sue they don't rattle around/rub on something? ...and in this case, we would need spacers and longer bolts as well, since the line (original anyway) isn't flush with the surface of the new control arm? 3) when taking the bolts out of the old control arm mounts, it looks like they used locktite on the threads; should we reapply when reinstalling?
So easily done. But mine won’t line up. They are the same control arm they just refuse to line up right and I can’t get the bolts all the way thru. Any suggestions?
Use a jack on the rear brake drum or disc brake to lift or move the wheel hub so you have more room. Sounds like you're leaving it to hang and are fighting the weight of the entire rear suspension.
@@MaximumOverTrolll just use another jack to lift the one rear arm up close to ride height before tightening. Also don't use a impact to tighten bolts onto bushings unless you're feeling adventurous
Yes, they do. I installed these LCA's on my '90 crx. This wasn't captioned in the video but right before he torqued all the bolts down (hopefully to spec), he had raised the entire axle upwards to where the LCA is parallel with the ground. This is called "pre-loading" in case you didn't know. The life of the bushings is pretty much shot within days if you overlook this (or use wd-40 like a dummy to lubricate). And don't over torque those steel bolts. You've been warned
pretty much . i had 00 ex and did this but different brand. i just used a eletric socket to get it out. hand tools are harder for this or use breaker bar
Let us know what you think in the comments! 🔥🔥🔥
What about preloading before you torque down the bolts?
I have the same ones for my acura Integra ls.
what are the torque specs? Thanks!
what do i do with my abs lines i just dont want them hanging from the car
Wow it looks a lot easier than I thought I'll be installing some lower control arms on my 95 Del Sol this weekend
We appreciate the feedback
Forgot to preload before you tightened the bolts up

Looks good but that line is just left hanging and moving around the LCA. What did you end up securing it to?
Need to pre load the suspension before you tighten the bolts fully, and idk if I would just blast it with an impact
do you need to replace the bolts or should you just be able to use the same ones
you can reuse them
Easy enough. Thank you...
Yeah, that was 100x easier than I thought it would be lol ;)
Right...
Thanks for the feedback

@@Coach_Cann0n how did it go?
Would I need to ad any lube to stop squeaks ??
Word of advice, if you're going to do this, replace the suspension as well.
Thanks for the feedback
Hows the quality and warranty on these LCAs anyone try them out yet? Lmk

How do you get under the car to torque if it's on the ground

I think so
Eddie Huerta because of new bushings i would consider it. it may throw your toe in out just a little.

Yes, they do. I installed these LCA's on my '90 crx.
