Chester sang for the audience. Now the audience sings for him. 🖤
Awww
My goodness. What an amazingly haunting and special comment. *heart*
This is the most underrated comment towards LP I've ever seen
So true.. it made my burst into tears.. so emotional
this is really awesome...
The crowd singing his part brought tears to my eyes. His legacy lives on.

Well done by fans 👍
Absolute goosebumps. I even knew the lyrics and it still hit hard
Got goosebumps. Miss this band! They were my first concert! Poor Chester !!😭😭
The crowd did the best tribute to Chester right here.. amazing
Nobody can replace Chester, but the crowd sounded amazing and did an amazing tribute to him. Man any band would love to have a crowd like that
No doubt 'bout it!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Agreed
But if ever u didnt watch their live show in red square russia go and watch it buddy
watch LP at the Red Square
I cant decide between the Red park crowd and the Hollywood bowl crowd. Both were amazing.
London O2 2017.. Best ever for me, but a bit biased, I was there
The second "I put my trust in you" is magic. So much love enveloped in everyone's voices singing together. Hits like a truckload of hugs. Beautiful moment
Magical.
Mike loves it
I hear Chester clearly in that part
Never felt anything like that before, Chester definitely heard that from above.

Being on stage, playing and not breaking down in tears when hearing the audience sing Chester's parts; my respects to the guys.
I don't know about you, but I caught some heavy emotion from Dave and Brad sometimes (2:14 for example)
@danielsilvadesouza3060 stop projecting your emotions on others, please. They didn't look like they were gonna cry one bit :/
@@tails20342 people can say what they want, I agree with daniel
so you think keeping emotions inside is a good idea? that's why there are so mu suic!de attempts because people keep everything inside...
Six years later and I still can't watch this without crying. Fuck, man. 36 years old and this still brings me to tears. We miss you, Chester. 🩵
Yeah, it still hits so fucking hard watching this
Просто помни брат. Таких как он больше не будет.
Но такие как Чес, объединяют нас с тобой.
2:58 that voice of the crowd made me cry... Feels like sorrow in everyone's heart coming out all at once
RIP Chester
😭😭
They brought the heat fo sho 💔🔥
Me too the first time I watch this and tears roll down..
Oh my god every time i se this i cry
goosebumps .... arms and back. this is awesome.
At the start I was like "WTF, who would sing Chester's part?" then the crowd starts singing, "all right, I can get with this!"
Goes to show gang vocals sound good on this song.
I swear i could hear Chester's' voice for just a split second.
I dont usually let my emotions out, especially on the internet,
but this had me crying for an hour.
i heard it at the first "it starts with one" too for some reason, very faintly
We know that he's a part of every single Voice out there, that's why we can hear him🖤
I can't even imagine how playing old songs without Chester feels to them... it's so amazing they find the strength to do it with such energy and enthusiasm, for the sake of the show and the people. I would literally start crying the second the first note gets played...
I think the guitarist was in his feels when he turned around. Can blame him.
Who’s crying while watching this?

Io maledizione rip grandissimo chester
Of course?!? Who doesn't?
I'm chopping onions, so no😅
LP is not a band..it's a feeling.
Something a generation could relate to.
Salute to Chester for his voice was therapy for so many.
Word
Therapy man real therapy
Indeed
Technically you're correct, they're not a band
100%. It came to me at the right time.
When he said “you guys know what part to sing?” I got goosebumps and my eyes swelled with tears! Omg! The crowd did such an amazing job! 😢❤ RIP Chester… your music saved my life as a troubled teen going through so much! I’m so thankful for linkin park!
He didn't have to say anything more for every person there to understand
When u hear the crowd over the singer you know your band has made an impact on every human being on the planet
This may be the dumbest comment I've ever seen on UA-cam
The vast majority of people in the world have never heard of them. They're a nu metal American band who's singer killed himself. This is a nice moment you don't have to try to make it bigger than it is
@@IIAlphaQII Hah funny enough, your comment is actually the dumbest comment I have "READ".
It just seems like you don't have a childhood you absolute basement dweller.
This song alone was everywhere when it was dropped.
Anyways, I don't give a shit about anything say, this band is legendary and it's just pathetic of you to disagree.

Still not over Chesters suicide. Sleep well king!
Dang it. That's so true
Missing from Chester
The audience singing Chester's parts is so emotional! 😢"I put my trust in you...", espectacular!
This is so amazing and hits us so strong. I can hear Chester's voice throught the crowd, specially at 03:00.
For real
To get that much volume from the crowd on a venue with no roof is truly astounding.
Chester would’ve been proud. This brings me to tears. Love this performance so much
it's even crazyer that you can hear the crowd singing the song the whole (not as loud but still the whole song)
It's amplified, of course. In other songs you hear the audience make noise and sing at a much lower volume.
2:58 stabs me right in the feels every single time, no matter how many times I hear it. So poignant, so majestic, simply beautiful. What a spirit, what a tribute!
i've been using this as my timestamp , thanks lol , still gets me goosebumps

I was 16 in 1999 and a die-hard fan of thrash and heavy metal, I used to despite this new kind of music. To me, Rap and Hip Hop had nothing to do with metal and hard rock, it seemed to me at that time that Chester was a screaming toddler in desperate need of attention. Now I'm 40 years old, watching this video and it feels like I'm tryin' to swallow an ice ball, I'm choked with emotion and in tears, my flesh crawls, my throat is hurtin', it's unvelievable!! It took me 24 years and to be a whole grown up man, father of two children to truly appreciate this. R.I.P. Chester, you're not completely dead until you're forgotten, your voice and screams will eternally echo in the hearts of your fans and your loved ones. Who cares if one more light goes out? Well I do.
I'm still watching in 2024 and forever
One of the best live recordings ever... goosebumps
Fucking WOW! In 25 years as a live sound engineer there weren't many times a crowd could keep up with a PA when it was their turn to sing. This was sung from the HEARTS of all who were there. Sorry I couldn't have been there.
Are you sure it's the crowd singing? Right? There is a specially hired choir of 10 people maximum!
@@2006mayday Only 10 people? 💀 there were thousands of people there tho homie

Chester is alive here in thousands voice
Chester and Mike is a golden duo men 😔
Thats true
It was Amazing when the whole crowd came together and sang it
Genuinely one of the most moving performances ever.
I swear, in those thousands of voices none sounds like The Chester. None can replace him.
Why would you? The argument is pointless. It's like the Beatles would try to find a replacement for Lennon.. Not that Chester was on John's level.
@@azynkron I am not doing any argument here. It's just what i feel. These people gave him a proper tribute. But the relief and the pleasure i use to get by hearing his voice solo will not give me form all these voices of thousands people combined.
@@azynkron I don't care abt John and no one is comparing
If you watched the numb performance from the start of the show you would see a lone mic stand in spotlight, music comes in and plays but when the vocals should start there is nothing. Absolutely highlighting and quite literally shining a light on the fact that without chester the band has no voice. Great music but...no voice. The crowd coming in to sing chester's part isn't to replace him, it's to show the reach his voice had, how many people he touched. They all knew the words by heart. They all found comfort and relief in their music. None of them knew eachother but were all connected by chester and came together as one with the band for a few minutes.
Singing along WITH the singer at a show to a song that has a particularly strong meaning to you is incredibly cathartic, so I'm sure having the band allow them to let it all out with them was very powerful to them all that, including the band.
@G.R I didn’t said once that they suck. I said they did a proper tribute. So stop judging me here and try to be smart somewhere else.
It is great that Linkin Park is using the audience as somewhat of a replacement for Chester. No one can fully replace Chester but the audience is much better than nothing.
i love you! you took the words outta my mouth. what a moment!
Now i cry again, Rest in Peace Chester

Truly the best version of "In the End". It's like Chester sang that day through audience. !!!
The woman that comes on at 2:45 and the dude next to her look so in the moment it’s incredible. Full of joy at that exact moment in time. No phone, just them and the music. Love it.
right
no phone, just enjoying the moment
something very rare threse days
I thought that clip exactly was a perfect representation for the different types of people in the crowd that day. You have the ones getting super emotional probably having some deep connection to the song, Then you have the one that's just full of joy as you said just happy to be there and enjoying it, And then on the far right side you have the one that's super in focus and locked onto every word going next. Beautiful display in my opinion

He didn't look like he was even about to cry. You guys need to quit trying to project your emotions onto others.
