@@jackdoyle6442 ended up getting a bmw 325i e92. Couldnt be happier - faster, similar economy. Not as easy to have sex in but we win some, we lose some.
Driving the same coloured Astra as you, only it's a petrol SRI 1.6 turbo 2013, like you, love the dashboard and trim and the ambient lighting. I agree totally with your description of the car, it drives smoothly and has the power when needed, only downside is it drinks fuel when you do.
Have owned the 1.6t sri fully loaded for nearly 4 years, good car but need to rev the nuts off it to get to the power it has, surprisingly good handling.
Yes if you can find a decent insurance quote for it, it has reasonable power and good running costs too.. especially if you’ll be around the city mostly
The no cost Morena red interior . Gtc grips the road like glue. The car was discontinued about 2 years ago. One of the best cars Vauxhall made but it's quite a big beast with enormous doors so not good for parking.
@@highgatemotors8968 Sorry, you did say it was officially a coupe. I didn't catch that when I first watched you vid.. can i ask you a question? I'm looking for one of these cars. I can get a 2012 , 2.0 deisel for £3500 , but, it has 135k on the clock. Would you go for a high mileage one ? These cars , same year with lower mileage seem to fetch around 5 grand.
@@PeterSmith-ls7ut Yes make sure it has a decent history and timing belt has been replaced. If not, then get the belt changed as soon as you buy it. If you drop me a message on instagram: @highgate_motorsales I’ll be happy to check the car / HPI it for you
Thank you for this video, I have just purchased the GTC 1.4i SRi Petrol. Pick it up Thursday. So excited :)
Hows it been? Thinking of getting one. 1.4 Turbo
@@aPengboi That's what I have, very powerful but fuel economy could be better, id still choose it everyday thk

Good assessment of the car. I have the same and would recommend it, great drive.
Hi. Can i ask about the reliability of astra gtc? Planning to buy used 2014
I’m looking to buy a 2014 gtc black alloy and tinted 1.4 petrol as second car for uni (75k mileage) should I get it?
If that’s what you’re after then Yes.. just check over it and check it has a decent service history..
is the astra gtc 1.4 good for a first car?
