I am 55 and clinically obese. I started at 228lbs and after 2 days on a vlcd including 3 cups of vegetables and 3 ensure shakes I've already lost 4lbs. This video was helpful for me. I need to get my cholesterol down. It's currently at 6.3. My doctor is recalling me for a blood test in 3 months. I hope my cholesterol is back to normal by then.
@@anonymous-cx7ng , It takes a few days for most peoples bodies to go into fat burning mode. Give it a few more days, you’ll likely lose your appetite and be losing weight like crazy.
@user-bl9fj7kf1s I believe it somewhat depends on duration. The calorie allowance on VLCD is substantially less than Greatest Loser participants, and some were left with very significant long term BMR decreases. Hence my concern
I hope you will answer this I am 62 107 lbs overweight should I eat all 800 calories at one meal? or should I eat 2 400 cal? meals I fast 3 days per week. if I don't eat high carbs I am not very hungry.
When i did this intense diet to start loosing weight, i drank 5 "ready to drink" shakes pr day. Clockwise: 08.30, 13.30, 16.30, 19.30 and the last one 22.30. They totalled 780 kcal. Sidenote: it took me 6 weeks to overcome the insane crawings. Its basically like an addict quiting drugs, i suspect. The sugercrawing is no joke.
I follow dr mcdougal and his starch based diet. It’s not a calorie limited diet however by reduction beyond the diet I’m able to get even more results. We are a fat and sick society with the desire for a pill or shot.

That means you were eating too much I do fasting for days and I lose nothing

When using VLCD, how to you prevent the patient's BMR from tanking?
I don't think it tanks. Maybe 10-15 percent decrease.

I'm scared of heart events from VLCD, thankyou for helping with that, if it helps with afib, then that must be in my mind.

I wasnt bothered by constipation: but fluidy like instead. I solved it by taking two capsules every morning of "probiotics".
There is no fat phobia and discrimination. That we are fat is our problem and our fault. Wanna enjoy life, loose weight!
