I used to live there, you did well, although I felt for you when I saw you at that bus stop, it's notoriously busy, better to get the ferry back from Positano later in the day, worth the extra cost, cool breeze in your hair and the sea view

Breathtaking views of the walk and we were not there in person to see, it must have been amazing!! When we took out 11 year old granddaughter to Europe, it was our quest to try as much gelato as possible. If the business was open, we were there!! Never did she refuse, anytime is a good time for gelato. Ok you each lost and replaced and item, so.....your friend is next? Thank you.

I will base at Salerno. After much research, I think I have to hire a taxi to Amalfi to catch the 8 am bus to Bomerrano, then hike to Nocelle. After that, take Mobility Amalfi Coast bus to Positano. Spend some time at Positano, then can wait for the bus back to Amalfi, then back to Salerno. Will be exhausted and sweat.
Is there a late afternoon ferry from Positano to Salerno? Can't find one
There was when we were there but if you can’t find it then your research is probably more current.
The roads, taxi, and bus system in amalfi is a circus!
