@@INTELLECTMEDICOS hyperkalemia lead to hypotension ,,,, so you can not say that the medication for it includes ace inhibitors because the ace increase blood pressure

Signs and symptoms of hypokalemia are more or less similar to hyperkalemia. So that's why I have mentioned it separately.

but i have a question, how cellular distraction (burns) cause hyperkalemia despite burns cause loss of potassium and fluid ?
Whenever there is burns or trauma (crush injury) or lysis of the cell, it causes extrusion of potassium from inside the cell to outside which is responsible for hyperkalemia.

vani gachinmath : Insulin facilitates uptake of glucose into the cells.. and thus causes inward movement of potassium..that is why it is given in hyperkalemia cases..it is given along with glucose so as to prevent hypoglycemia..normally we administer around 8-10 units human insulin(actrapid) in 25% dextrose..I hope, now it'll be clear to u..Thank you!! 😊👍
