World’s MOST Popular Dry Fly Just Got Better!

- This is a variation of the world-renowned Elk Hair Caddis, an extremely popular fly pattern that mimics the profile of a caddis quite well. However, unless tied with a giant wing, this pattern can sink easily after a take or in fast-moving water. That's exactly where this pattern comes in-a more modern version using foam to help increase buoyancy and provide an even better body profile of an adult caddis, in my opinion. This one was tied on a Klinkhammer hook with some flash to draw a bit more attention. While both are great patterns, I find myself drawn to this one because of its increased buoyancy and better ability to support droppers underneath, no matter how many fish come up and hit it. If you are stocking up on caddis patterns, give this a try!

fished a never-sink caddis alot last fall, really helps when you want to keep casting and not stop to dry off a fly, the foam just keeps it up and even if it does dip in a little, it will never fully sink.
And give it "that nice buggy look"! Huge fan!!!
Love the tutorials, I've only tied nymphs so far..gonna have to try my hand at these for sure! Thank you.
Another awesome fly pattern! I appreciate you sharing! Tight lines!!! 😎🎣
flies, can't wait to try it
Great demonstration on a cool 😎 pattern!
I love this guy's voice and the way he talks..
I've been tying these for a while and they're my favorite for mid summer when they're hammering caddis patterns. It's more durable than the regular Elk Hair Caddis. I do add a little tuft of orange antron on top of the hair, behind the hackle as a sighter. I also cut the hackle off in the hook gap so it really floats high.
#flies this looks like a great fly to add a dropper to!
Thanks again for the great tutorials! #flies
