I appreciate how you've included tips and tricks throughout the recipe. It shows that you've put a lot of thought into making it accessible for everyone. 👌👌🤩
One of my absolute fave Vietnamese salads, this hack makes it so much easier and faster to prepare. My current microwave has been making some odd noises lately, so it may be the perfect timing to update it to this nifty model, especially as we're moving into summer here in Oz and quick, easy, non-oven-requiring meals like this move to the top of the list!
As a Vietnamese, I have lived in several European countries, and currently I am working in Korea, I realize that European or American dishes will be suitable for people under 35 years old, helping We are fully developed physically and mentally, and after the age of 35, Vietnamese or Thai food will be better because it is lighter, combines vegetables and meat, is low in fat, and does not have too much meat like European and American dishes, not as oily as Chinese dishes, not too spicy like some Korean dishes, and it is usually safer to eat cooked than some Japanese dishes that are often eaten raw. Sorry my English is bad and I used translation assistance.
I'm not paying Marion's bills so I don't expect her to pay me any mind (and am excited to see her get sponsorships), but I would love if there were backup instructions on the website & buried in the description at least for those of us without the fancy microwave. This looks so good but I see that it's using this *very specific style of microwave* and go "oh well I guess this isn't for me." 😭
Hey Marion! I always enjoy watching your videos. Can I request that Dax shoot in 4K videos in the future? Or maybe your videos are already shot in 4K resolution and they just need to be tweaked by the editors when uploading it to UA-cam? I'd like to see your future videos in 4K so that it will be more awesome watching them on large screen TVs. Thanks so much!
Dax is dying to shoot in 4K! It slows down our editing but we’re working through it. Thanks for the feedback and your patience! Really great to hear there’s demand for it 😃
My microwave is new and I’m not a fan of using it, great way to use it though…. but I would love to make this recipe, any Asian plated noodle salad wins me always 🩵🌸
Yummy. I know your recipe said "vermicelli noodles", what is the Vietnamese name for it? I can never know what to buy at the Vietnamese grocery stores, there are 100 kinds. Thanks Marion.
Marion, love your channel and recipes. But please put links on your website or on videos of the types of soy sauce or fish sauce. Asian grocery stores are daunting if you don’t have a favorite or experience.
I actually have the same panasonic microwave. True though, you can like Baker pizza and grilled stuff but i find it too intimidating so i never use that function 😂😅 i think did try once hut i freaked out cause it smells like burn 😂😂
The pork egg rolls will make or break this dish. Make them from scratch and fry. It makes a huge difference. Sometimes, I reheat frozen egg rolls, but not for this recipe.
For these Vietnamese style noodle salads, I would recommend people try a little drizzle of coconut cream and crushed peanuts to take things to another level.
Definitely freshly roasted peanuts for this dish...the coconut cream I wouldn't skip, though. I'm sure some people in southern Vietnam that eat lots of coconut do that, but I've not seen it for this dish.
I like using the microwave, but your microwave was so clean when you took out your chicken! Splatter on your plate but nothing in the microwave. The clean up?
ok ok...but, over the last few years everyone has Air Fryers. I get you're sponsored, but they make Air Fryers too. Surely a better use of the new undulating feature was 'not' to cook chicken in a device that takes longer, than a wok/pan or Air fryer, is more expensive to buy than an Air fryer and pan... Perhaps maybe do a 'For students' or 'Vanlife' and target more accurately the people who would cook their chicken in a Micowave and do a series of vids and show the versitility of uses for this feature. This video missed the target for me but the potential for improvement is there.
You#re surely joking?! Are you on your period?!? Most people have a microwave knocking around and arent really using it. Most people dont have air fryers!!
I am in the market for a countertop Microwave / Convection oven combo. I have limited counter space and no air fryer. I do have countertop microwave which I use a couple of times a day. I will not give up valuable counter space for 2 appliances. A counter top Micro / Convection oven would work well for me until I can remodel my entire kitchen, at which point I will have a double wall oven with a Microwave Convection oven built in. I have tested / owned the Panasonic Countertop Induction oven which is great, far better than an air fryer but it doesn't have the microwave component.

Marion, usually your Asian dishes look amazing. This one was not a proper nod to Vietnamese cuisine which is amazing and delicious.
Yummy. This chicken looks so delicious. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Really cool recipe! Love it, thanks Marion
You are wonderful, Marion.
omgggg def adding this to my dinner rotation next week !

I too am miffed by the nutty promotion. Thai food is not cooked in a microwave. Ms. Grasby is getting big bucks. You are so right.

Wow that chicken.. I just bet I couldn’t get mine like this!!!!!!
Gurl I need this amazing chicken 🍗 bowl 🥣 in my life yaaaaaasssss 😊
Chicken cooking juice would DEFINITELY go into the bowl as well!
Wow, cool! I didn't know Panasonic had this microwave!
Good recipe 😋
Ohhhhh very impressed with the use of these “new” functions in your microwave…
Thank you for the tips n tricks. May l know which of your spring roll recipe did you use for this dish.

Yummy. I know your recipe said "vermicelli noodles", what is the Vietnamese name for it? I can never know what to buy at the Vietnamese grocery stores, there are 100 kinds. Thanks Marion.
It is usually rice noodle, the small strand variety. It is called bún in Vietnamese and my favorite brand is the 3 ladies
@@annn8389 thank you.
😮 I have the same knife as you!
Looks like it would have been better in the oven, spring rolls look rank
Is there video about cooking spring rolls?
Marion, love your channel and recipes. But please put links on your website or on videos of the types of soy sauce or fish sauce. Asian grocery stores are daunting if you don’t have a favorite or experience.
I don’t have a microwave, so will resort to a regular oven.. as this looks way to delicious to not attempt!
Agreed. I bought some chicken thighs to make the dish, but of course, without a microwave. I never use one when I maker her recipes.

I mean, you could also use pestle to pound the lemongrass, right? why take extra risk and use the back of the knife like all the time? 😅
Because she's a pro
Yeah, that was a glaring safety issue for me too. Pestle, meat mallet, an old rolling pin... any kitchen implement but the back of the knife.

You shouldn't cook chicken in the microwave. Don't be lazy. It's not the same.
3/4Cup of Sugar ,for the dressing?
Our motorhome has a convection microwave.
My friends where is the receipt for now I can’t find it

A little bit frustrating that there's no guide for folks who don't have this type of microwave oven.

First time I've seen a meat dish combined with grilled chicken, because in Vietnam they only eat it with grilled pork and pork ribs.
True but not everyone eats pork so it could be a good alternative for some
It's done that way in the US because chicken is popular here as many people may not want pork.
Why would I want that microwave....with all the dangerous rays....when my AIR FRYER can do all that in half the time ???????????
