Mark is such a genuine guy. Had the pleasure of working under his command a few times and spent many an hours sat around with him having a laugh and a chat. Just a great down to earth guy who is always willing to have a chat about his job
What a brilliant interview, Captain Mark is a very interesting man and has some great stories and a passion for his job that comes over when ever you hear him talk about aviation. Thanks AirlinersLive & Captain Mark.
I could sit here all day and listen to the pilots stories, super chat you two, and also Andy doing a sterling job as always. Flew in August this year on the TUI 787 and had a cockpit visit when we returned to Manchester, the skipper also mentioned he flew the 767 before the 787 and he said it was a wonderful pilots aircraft to hand fly, he liked the 787 but mentioned that the onboard computer system were good but very slow to respond but get there in there own time.
That was fantastic. Captain Mark is just an amazing person, a high flying airline pilot and and a super down to earth chap, so fascinating to listen to. I put the oven on to heat up before starting to watch this. I've been so compelled watching, I couldn't pause it to put my dinner in, had to watch to the end! Thank you Andy and Captain Mark.
Absolutely loved this podcast. Captain Mark is a loveable guy. Says it how it is and makes a change from the usual things pilots say. Great interviewer also.
You're a top bloke, Captain Mark. New/trainee pilots who have you as a mentor are very lucky. Experience such as yours cannot be taught. Well done, Andy. It was such a laid back conversation yet you still managed to ask all the questions viewers have wanted to ask.
It’s easy to see what gives you that extra something, Captain Mark. You really, really LIKE people. You also seem to have a genuine interest in doing the extra work to minimize risk from unforeseen events. Those two things make you a hefty cut above most others. Thank you very much for sharing a bit of your life with us. I’m a better person for having listened to you. Blessings to you and your family. 💜🇺🇸
A really good watch and very informative about a captain’s job. Captain Mark used the words a lovely Bloke many times about other people but I thinks it applies to him as well .
I fly from Manchester to Dalaman in 6 hours. What a fantastic chat... The mutual respect and information you both gave out was brilliant. Felt like I was sat with a couple of mates. Thanks for the upload.
It was great to see Mark Langston again after all these years, we actually worked together on the Electricity Board and I went on a flight with him just after he got his PPL. great to see how well he has got on and I knew he would do well.
Brilliant watch! Captain mark gives a great insight everytime I watch. And I’ve had the pleasure of him flying me to dalaman really proud moment for me. Thanks guys can’t wait for more installments.
So interesting and great stories. Captain Mark is so down to earth, loved hearing his background and would love to be on one of his flights. Hate hearing airlines have to deal with disruptive passengers. So sad for the staff. Don’t fly often but feel it’s a privilege when I do and enjoy every minute. Not often you get those views.
Hi Andrew, I have just been watching your podcast with Captain Mark Langston. What a fantastic interview but more like a chat with your old mate over a pint. A family member completed his ATPL(f) licence on an integrated pilot course with a well known flight school. Due to the delays due to Covid and Brexit the EASA/UK licence change affect him along with the students on his course. However he managed to "land" a job as a Flight Attendant with a UK airline for a couple of years but with no options for Pilot training. He already had his PPL a few weeks after his 17th birthday. He has now completed his Type Rating for jet aircraft and has been employed by another UK company. Just like Captain Mark said it is an expensive exercise very close to £190,000 all at his own expense along with the bank of mum & dad re-mortgaging their home.
Really great way to spend an hour. As many said, could listen to Captain Mark all day. Great chap, would be great to be on one of his flights one day. Love hearing about how good the old 757 jets are.
Brilliant podcast guys, got to say I enjoyed that, informative, bit of banter, good laugh, and I'm sure nervious flyers would have their minds put at rest on some of their worries. Mark, thanks so much for dedicating time for the community, when you work hard and have families, its difficult, so thank you, very much appreciated. All the very best guys, stay safe....
Really enjoyed this! Mark is just brilliant and Andy is a natural host! Think the podcast idea is a brilliant addition! Gives you another dimension on the channel . Sound quality is also amazing and sounds like you’ve been doing them for years! Top notch
Awesome chat that....well done to all involved. Andy, you're a natural for this type of thing.....I really like your easy, calm and conversational style, works great. And Captain Mark is great too :)
Brilliant! Mark is definitely a keeper. A natural in front of camera, a WYSIWYG guy online or face to face. Need to watch again to check he actually mentioned my home town. p.s. when are the AL team bios coming? 😊
Great stream with Mark Langston I didnt know he was a BMX champion. Great stream at the airport Martin Andy and Matt Smith sorry I was not in chat long I was in the chat but Martin didnt see my comments about the Emirates A380. Great stream as always :)
New subscriber here - just recently took an interest in aviation. Thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. It was good to hear first hand what it’s like in the industry! Looking forward to more like this! ✈️😊
I knew Mark briefly when we were both much younger. Introduced by a very good friend Greg. His skills were ridiculous on the BMX; the finesse and balance and understanding of momentum were sublime. Almost as if you gave a Jedi a BMX and a bit of flat ground and said 'let me see what you can do'. :-) Just in case you read this Mark - So glad to see you are doing well Greg always looked up to you and would often talk about you - Glad to see you are doing well! :-) Have been thinking about getting another 'MX... Peace and love brother
Great listen and watch although I’ve left a bit scared about that A320. I’d been scared of flying for years and only getting past it now so probably over thinking it ✈️✈️😂
Great job guys, it was an enjoyable conversation as opposed to an interview. One suggestion Andy, your mom probably already told you this 100x as a child…try to sit up in the chair, it will appear more professional and visually like you are more engaged (not that you aren’t, but it’s a perception thing).
They say about passengers been drunk getting on the plane.. airports are partly to blame as they all serve alcohol in the bars 🤯 may be should shut the bars in airports
Thanks for watching, any feedback would be massively appreciated on this brand new podcast series! ❤
A Christmas special? More guests and a bit of festive cheer & Xmas plane chat? 😇🎅🏻🎄🫶🏻🌟

8:20 sounds like a road trip for the AL crew
🎙️ 🎙️
Finally
Ghana.....nice.
Great interview guys, but WAY too many ads - very irritating, especially the way they start in mid-sentence.
I'll take a look at that
Hi
Would Mark not consider a position with DHL Air UK they have 757 frieghters ??
The crash in Russia was that Fly Dubai flight
i think pilots do a great job. and air traffic control.
They say about passengers been drunk getting on the plane.. airports are partly to blame as they all serve alcohol in the bars 🤯 may be should shut the bars in airports
Amazing addition to the channel. Excited to see where this goes and who else you guys get on the show - more pilots would be amazing!👏
top content here, nice to hear some of Marks stories from his early days in the flightdeck
Great video and Captain Mark is a top bloke and really has his feet firmly on the ground with everything about life. 10 out of 10
