I recently tried the Tropical Roots Clarifying Shampoo and it worked wonders on my hair! I hadn’t washed my hair in 5ever and with 3 washes it’s CLEAN and lightweight. My new holy grail!
Thanks for sharing! I use Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Shampoo, weekly. I use Giovanni's tea tree triple treat shampoo once a month to clarify.
Love the shea moisture black castor oil and apple cider one, that's what I've been using. I alternate with the Manuka honey one too. Question: what do you do about lint? I've been battling that especially during the winter with scarves.
Nice video! Do you dilute the Dr Bronne Castille Soap liquid with water? or do you use it as is? The instructions recommend to dilute but not sure if I should, to shampoo my locs.
Whenever I use dr Bonner shampoo, my hair gets really stiff. Idk maybe because it’s soap but I’m still deciding if I want to continue with it. But it makes amazing body soap
Jungle Barbie hey, I washed my hair this morning with the shampoo again and used less than I’d usually use. You were right, it’s not as stiff as it was the last time but it’s not as clean as I’d like. But my dreads are 4-5 months old so them sticking up is something I don’t like. Thanks!
Simone Naturals Lavender shampoo is my favorite. It is a all natural shampoo that really cleanses my locs of dirt and buildup without completely striping my locs. It’s always sold out on the website but it’s soooo good if you can catch it on the restock
I like Dr. bronner’s lavender, tea tree, & peppermint shampoos, I also like a few Shea moisture products but some of them are too rich for my hair texture making my locs unravel because I have a soft 3ab/3c maybe 4a texture & the softer hair definitely comes a loose around the edges & in the top of my locs but it’s not really a big deal because I’m a freeformer
yeah the Shea Moisture products if you have softer hair it will make your hair unravel especially seeing that you are free forming and you do not put them back together. Dr. Bronners is the best. Which Shea Moisture products do you use? I find the JBCO line very good and it doesn't make my hair unravel.
Thanks for this video... Do you dilute the dr bronners shampoo?? I'm afraid to use it cause so many people say it will cause a build up if not used properly. If you do dilute can you please post the ratio. Thanks so much!!!
I love Dr. Bonners lavender and that is my favorite in his collection, and I also like the peppermint as well. My go to shampoo in the last 3 years has been Palmers shampoo very moisturizing and half the price of the ones you have mentioned.
Are you asking me how to dilute the shampoo? And do you mean if you can use it every 4 weeks or on 4 weeks locs? If the latter question is what you are asking yes you can.
Palmers has definitely gotten better over the years. That was the last leave in conditioner I bought and it was wonderful. I had to stop using it because my consult is coming up soon for my Sister locks
Greetings, love Dr.Bonners Castile shampoo, however if it not available I use Kirk's original castile bar soap to wash my hair its wonderful for skin and hair.
I looove Dr. Bronner's Castile Peppermint Shampoo. It smells really good; Cleanses my scalp and locs; I love the tingly feeling on my scalp; and I don't have to use conditioner. It's my go to shampoo and body wash and I also use it to clean my floor at home and do laundry. I have never tried the others that you mentioned. Thanks for sharing them with us. I may try them when I get the chance to.
Great video! Your locs are long beautiful and healthy. I use Shea Moisture on mines. I want to try Dr.Locs products. What are your favorite oils u like to use?
My routine is: i do a pre shampoo to get rid of any build up or excess oils (I make my own), then I shampoo (Dr. Bronners), next condition and then I use my oil and water spray on my hair. Finally I retwist my locs.

yup that is why I like it. The only thing for my hair is that I have to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner
Thanks for sharing! I use Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Shampoo, weekly. I use Giovanni's tea tree triple treat shampoo once a month to clarify.
my pleasure. I used to use the Manuka Honey too but I prefer the JBCO one. I need to look for the Giovanni shampoo
Heyy. This is 3 years late lol but how do you like the Shea Moisture Manuka honey? Because I just started my locs and have a full bottle at home
I love the way Dr Bonner shampoo does to my hair it makes my hair feel light clean shiny and moisture is awesome
And no build up in my locs
Where can you find that product
Hey Queen..I learned a lot from this video..I use the JBCO shampoo & conditioner..thanks again & blessings
I am happy to know my videos are helpful. It's one of the best. You are welcome

I use ACV and baking sod. I know they can be a pain. I also use the bentonite clay
Nice video! Do you dilute the Dr Bronne Castille Soap liquid with water? or do you use it as is? The instructions recommend to dilute but not sure if I should, to shampoo my locs.
I love your videos, you have great styles! I've tried 3 of these and I usually use Dr. Bronner's
thank you. I love Dr. Bonner's Shampoo
I swear by Dr. Bronners Peppermint Castille Soap!! A tiny bit goes a Looooong way!!
Whenever I use dr Bonner shampoo, my hair gets really stiff. Idk maybe because it’s soap but I’m still deciding if I want to continue with it. But it makes amazing body soap
Try using less of it. I use a little because it lathers up very easily. Try and let me know what happens.

Josh Ekong do you dilute it? It should be 1 part soap to 3 part water.
Do you use the dr bronner straight from the bottle or do u dilute? Asking because I'm considering using this as shampoo.
You have to use apple cider vinegar after using dr bronners,

locs of love you are welcome. You can but I don't. I do not use a lot because as you know it is pretty concentrated
Cam you use Vo5 shampoo the ocean breeze one to wash ya locs?
I use Dr bronners peppermint bar soap, and acv rinse. But would like to find something better, I'm going to try the shea moisture with Caster oil
I have a few more that I have been testing out and I will share them in an upcoming video.
I love Dr. Bonners lavender and that is my favorite in his collection, and I also like the peppermint as well. My go to shampoo in the last 3 years has been Palmers shampoo very moisturizing and half the price of the ones you have mentioned.
Palmers shampoo? I have to look for that one as well. I love Dr. Bonners
Jungle Barbie thanks to advise how to dilute it. also can we use it for 4 weeks locks????

I found a large bottle of Dr. Bonner @ Walmarts in-store and it's available @ Walmarts online too.
Dr Bonner's isn't a shampoo it is a soap
Awesome!! So, I have a question- what is the routine? Wash and then just put oils/grease on scalp? I won't be retwisting during this session either
My routine is: i do a pre shampoo to get rid of any build up or excess oils (I make my own), then I shampoo (Dr. Bronners), next condition and then I use my oil and water spray on my hair. Finally I retwist my locs.
