It was fun seeing you use these and the green background on your kittens looks really neat. The hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil has always been something that I've been drawn to all my life. Thank you! We have the three wise monkeys as a small ornament, but I was so tempted by the kitty one as well, haha! It was fun to draw them and turn them into cute cartoons. They worked out way better than I expected, considering I was so tired, lol.

Ah yes, that would be the word I want! 💡I did a lot of sketching over there and I am finishing up my book from photos I took, so I'll show that hopefully by the end of this month. 😊
I would agree they dried out. I had this box last year and they were definitely not dry. I think with markers, it can depends which way they were stored and perhaps these were upright and the ink went to one end. I wasn't really a fan of these markers and I couldn't find any information about them online (they must have not been released yet at the time this box went out), to see if I was doing something wrong. They didn't blend well at all, like other alcohol markers, although I actually used them over the top of the pencil in the end and found it created some beautiful blends with the pencils and I got some really nice gradients. PS Welcome home :)
I didn't think to try blending the pencils with the markers! 😱 Mind you, the fact that I achieved anything when I was so sleep deprived is a miracle in itself, haha!
I bet it's nice to be home, even though you went back to winter! Your kitties are so cute, i love it when you draw/paint animals, they always have so muxh personality 😊

Becky, thank you for making that enormous effort to do this video for us! It was exactly what i needed - especially the cute cars! - after a rather frustrating day. I sat with my cuppa and biscuit and as soon as you began on the camera, my smile reappeared, and when I saw the base drawing of the cats, I couldn't stop grinning, and am still grinning at the thought of them. They are brilliant! The red pencil looked nothing like sanguine on my screen. What did you think of -it's- its name? Those Bruynzeel pencils aren't bad, are they - just not so good when being used to higher-end pencils, but certainly ok! I have a few that I picked up as a free sample, years ago, and they are oddly extremely thin, compared to any other pencil in my mix-of-brands coloured pencil case! So glad to know you really are back on form now!!!
It definitely wasn't sanguine! I'd have called it...red? 😂 The pencils are decent enough, just pretty thin barrels. At least they actually fit into my electric sharpeners, unlike some other pencils I have which are too chunky.
I don't know why but the top stickers that you were copying brings to mind samuri type images, I've got my gall bladder op next week and don't think I'll be painting for a while which will drive me mad!!!!! Will be binge watching all your vids again to compensate and it's my birthday a week after the op 😢 loved your art work of that camera. Have you seen/ or have the vaviva travel set becky? In a faux leather case, it's gorgeous and I've ordered it for my birthday
I just saw Miranda's video on that travel set; it looks great! I'm tempted...haha! I hope everything goes well for your surgery next week, and that recovery is all good. Take all the time you need, and maybe little sketches in a cheap book or pad can help along the way if you're feeling up to it. 💙
