Very nice job on that little Mini! Thats in my top-3 all of your cars! The red Pontiac is a Firebird from 82. I've a couple of these, so do with it what ever you like :-). The hood opens the right way. The Sierra was a Taxi, i had one in my childhood. But i can't find it anymore. The Oldsmobile is a "Cutlass Calais" from around 1988 to 1991. I'm happy you like them all and i've managed to surprise you with some new castings. It was the 4th package, but def. not the last one! Keep safe! See you next time!

How have I missed this video until now? I love all your stuff. Even when the cars aren’t really to my taste. THIS IS THE BESTEST, MY MOST FAVORITEST, DIECAST REBUILD ON ANY UA-cam CHANNEL EVER!!! And I watch a lot of em. Excuse the poor grammar, please. It’s deliberate to try and emphasize a point. THAT ONE IS THE COOLEST DIECAST CAR EVER RECREATED!!! SPECTACULAR!!!!!!

Ah, the B.V.R.T. 'Vita-Min'. One of my all time favourite diecast models, by any manufacturer. Appealing, as it was so very, very small. And it came with a sheet of rally stickers, like the red Austin-Healey rally car. If you're a kid, stickers are top. If you are a parent (I'm not), you probably think very differently. 😆😆😆
I love the finish! It reminds me very strongly of that anodized Titanium used for jewellery in the 1980's. It's superb. Nice one. The blue Corgi Mercedes is one of the very first wave of 'Corgi Juniors' after they stopped being marketed as 'Husky'. The skinny wheels are the giveaway. Like Matchbox 'Superfast' models with skinny wheels, they didn't last long, and were replaced with the ugly wide generic 'Whizzwheels'. I'd keep it as is - it's a lovely little model.

You were right about the Sierra. Standard German taxi color called Hellelfenbein (bright ivory), not mandatory anymore, but still used by most cabs.
It's missing it's taxi sign.
The Majorette Chevy Pick-Up is missing it's tow hooks (similar to the Matchbox Tow Joe). Dépanneuse also means tow truck. I remember these from childhood. There were actually a rather bad toy, the tow hooks were way too high so most cars wouldn't roll anymore.

Reminds me of this spray paint remover that I bought yesterday at the shops; it comes in a tin and can be poured into a spray bottle.
It pretty much goes to work IMMEDIATELY and you can actually see the paint just bubble up. Can't touch the casting with bare hands, though: a few droplets got on my foot (I was wearing sandals, the fool I was). Had a minor chemical burn on my foot, so never again! Long sleeves and proper PPE!

Great job on the mini - love the colour (achieved after 💯 % paint removal). The Vanwall is a British racing car as raced by Stirling Moss in the 50’s & 60’s (he won the 57 Grand Prix in one) before he drove Maserati’s and Lotus. Great video Rob.
That finished effort with triple colours really does it such a lot of justice...
It's almost a "RatRod" Cooper as it were.
Those wheels actually look about perfect in size for the ubiquitous Bone Shaker model.

Super fun job on the Mini! The Renault 4 is a "Plein Air" and I think the Oldsmobile is a Cutlass.

I had a similar Corgi Mini Rob, same purple too. Mine was a slightly different casting though, maybe a bit more stock. I'm not a huge fan of that grille though; mine was the same.
When I saw your choice of paint colours, I thought it was going to look like a colour ink cartridge but the final finish is pretty spectacular. I don't think it would work so well with more paint, more opaque, the light coverage looks great!! 👌👍
I like that Mercedes truck, huge side windows. The glass might be OK (ish) but it looks like it's got a wheel problem going on.🥴

the actual car that this mini was made to be/look like is Vito-Min it won the 1969 BARC/Castrol Hillclimb Championship With Jeff Goodliff. The car was geared for 105mph in second. Goodliff told Hot Car in October 1969: “I’ve only used third on the way down [a hill]. The car hasn’t yet felt top gear!” Its A-Series - with a BVRT eight-port head, Godfrey supercharger and Tecalamit-Jackson fuel injection - was said to give 180bhp at the flywheel, c120bhp at the wheels.

Those Big wide Majorette Wheels are overkill plus they make it hard for the car to fit on some trucks and they should of shorten the wheels a bit back then and it would of made thing a little easier plus I think Greenlight, Autoworld, or Johnny Lightning or any other brands would probably make some of those boring average cars.

I think the casting looks good, but I'd argue if it's gonna be a drag car then the fat tires should be in front. The engine poking through the bonnet is transversely mounted, indicating it's still front wheel drive. Other than that, it's great. And a great 100% paint removal!

as others have stated the Siku Sierra is actually a Taxi. there is a taxi sign on the roof, and the third hole is for an antenna made of white or translucent plastic. those tend to get ripped off, or chewed off. I have successfully replaced some with a thick nylon thread (0.5mm). the sides are printed; Siku switched from rub-on decals to tampos back when, and those tampos tended to rub off.
the Excalibur's wheels are somewhat special, usually reserved for classics like the Ex and the Morgan +8. the JP4 is indeed based on a Renault-4. some french body works company made them like that since early 60's, but the extensive rollcage framework is a majorette special. there is a surfboard missing clipped into the top of that frame, and a cast-on spare wheel goes on the back where that tab protrudes.
