Thank you for posting this! Great quality. I never understood why Cheap Trick got so popular with their mediocre talent. Donnie Iris made real, long lasting hits. Still hold court in 2023. We love you Donnie! Thanks for all the great memories! ❤
There were dam good bands Donnie with the Jaggerz,, crack the sky, Rob Parissi.WILD CHERRY, then Donnie had influence in Pittsburgh, Poison, but none as good as The CRUISERS.. I listened to Billy Squier, Donnie, and local bands.. DONNIE WAS AND IS TOP NOTCH. He came to Mingo Junction KofC and backed up Wild Cherry Robbwas so underrated.. He made dam good music.. Eric Carmen and Strawberries were a Cleveland band they tore the radio stations up I still have 8 tracks, cassettes and Albums of all these bands!! SALUTE TO ALL ! You’re the best!!!
born Dominic Ierace. I remember him from the Jaggerz. They had a hit called the rapper, way back in 1970. Way before rapping was a music style. It just meant chatting. "Come up to my place, for coffee or tea, or me". Damn I'm old.
I live in Pittsburgh, PA. You should hear Donnie Iris sing now! These guys are fantastic. They are better than they were in the '80s. It's unbelievable what this man can do. This song should be re-released and it should hit number one.
I live in pgh too, and I’m pretty sure at like 75 or whatever Donnie is he is not better now than he was in the 80s in his prime… as for the song, it’s my fav Donnie iris song also, the scream at end is iconic.
A drastically underrated song. It deserved a place on an 80s movie soundtrack, maybe Flashdance, Risky Business or Christine. It rocked yet never saw any radio play back-in-the-day.
I can't believe this only has 30K views, I love Donnie Iris but only listened to Ah Leah! and I can't Hear you til now...I feel like a dope because all his stuff is incredible!
In my feed…from Mentor Ohio in the 60s and 70s . No greater time! Blossom Music Center rocked. Painesville and Cleveland Agora rocked! I close my eyes and transport my life back to that time….forever!!!❤️🙏✝️
Because the burgh, has ALWAYS been, and ALWAYS will be a classic rock n roll town (WDVE still plays the same damn songs they played 30-40 years ago) and never had much appreciation for home-grown talent like Donnie. He was AMAZING, and barely even got noticed in his own town! THAT's why you missed him. It's not your fault.
This was my song in my day! I forgot about it and heard Donnie on our local station and googled them and found it! Man can He sing! The vocals and the music are so special! Love Albritton too! Cute as ever! I have watched this video over 50 times in a week! LOL! Thanks guys for filling our hearts with Love & GREAT MUSIC!!!
My favorite from Donnie, I’m from his neck of the woods Pittsburgh, Pa. Seen him in and around Pittsburgh back in the day, Awesome times, luv ya Donnie Iris!
He always makes me happy! Followed since hs at IHS! Followed at college at IUP, bday gift from employees at Indiana Floral! Always an awesome uplifting concert that made me smile!
The reason these guys weren’t bigger is they were on one of the worst record companies in existence: MCA. Most musicians said this referred to Musicians Cemetery of America.
Anyone else get a really, really strong Todd Rundgren feel from this song in particular? If I heard this without knowing who the band was, I’d be damn sure I was hearing Utopia.
Still hands down the most emotional scream in the history next to John Lennon's "Mother" In my opinion Donnies scream has always been just a little better. Stuff gives you goosebumps thinking about the old days.
I want a shirt like the keyboard player! I wish the record company would have sprung for better videos. Ah Leah! and Do You Compute were so cheap. The band were just as good as the national acts and MTV would have pushed them much more if they didn't have cheap boring videos. Donnie is the best!
I've checked those videos out & yes ultra low image quality as well as audio. Heard Donnie didn't really want to go on long tours & road trips preferring gigs in the tri-state area being at home after gigs. He should have had better videos & road trips may well have gotten him a larger national fan base ! ...

Imagine being in high school and college at this time. We took Pittsburgh for granted, we really did...
Please tell me people are still listening to this beautiful scream at the end in 2022! 😎
The best scream in all of ROCK AND ROLL

Loved Donnie Iris since college 40 years ago. So underrated!

I can’t wait to see him in concert this Saturday! My first time seeing him!

Soundtrack for sure! I can think of several movies that this would be perfect for
Their best song IMO
It’s rated exactly where it belongs.
This should have been, and still could be a number 1 song.
Definitely top shelf Donnie
Donnie was 80 years old on Feb 28 2023. Happy Birthday to one of the greatest rockers ever!! EVER!!!
I knew he was getting up there, rock on Donnie !
Donnie is battling cancer, smh
Blows my mind how this video isn't viewed more often. One of the real gems on UA-cam in my opinion.

Donnie Iris and Micheal Stanley forever 💜

Hey yinz guyz, donnie iris rocks the sauth side 'n'at!
True showmanship with excellent musical talent every member of that band!
Love Donnie Iris. This is my favorite of his and nothing can touch this version. Timeless.
Also I feel like every 2k screamo/punk band needs to give respect to this mans screaming. Way ahead of the times he was.
These guys and MSB on New Years Eve, 10 people in the car, lie to our parents where we were. The good old days.
Summer of 82- the whole record was great, this was the last song on side 1 - King Cool. What a feel-good song.
Easily the most underrated singer and band of all time... If you have never seen this band live you missed one hell of a concert. really
They don't make music like this anymore!, Thanks a million!!
Because we’ve progressed.
One of the best screams in rock-n-roll...bar none !
Love Donnie Iris. Caught him at Blossom in '82, spectacular show.
Really miss the early 80’s rock scene. What a great act!!
Most singers today don't sing from their GUT!!! Donnie Belts It Out ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Every Frickin Time!!!!!
My favorite song he's ever done. Just love the way this song does it.
Yes one of my fav songs also.. it's magical !!!

Got to meet Donnie Iris in Sharon, PA in 1993 or 94. What a great guy.
Lovin me some Donnie Iris! That Pittsburgh boy can scream!!! Originally from da'Burgh...have seen Donnie many, many times. He never disappoints!
"oh oh oh YEEEEEEAAAAHHHHH"!
Gorgeous guy what a voice my hubby was a spitting image of donnie in his younger days. I wish we didn't age lost in time ❤
This *IS* the way Love ought to be!
Great song! It has a Todd R/Utopia vibe to it! I dig it!
Oh yeah, I'm a big fan of Utopia, great power pop ! Rundgren brilliant !

Most under rated band', they should have been much bigger
Unreal pop tune, executed by a PERFECT band for this! A+!
1 of MTV's 1st SATURDAY NIGHT CONCERT in 1981
My first concert was Donnie Iris at Washington Jefferson College ❤❤❤
Still my favorite Donnie Iris song.
Same. And it's so much better live than studio.
I was there , video does it very well.
Sound is perfect.
Perfect band, Perfect song.
What a great band this lineup was!!
To tell you the truth I love the music 🎶 of Donnie lris
Tell me some other rocker at 78 is still bringing it😄😄
Sammy is the only other one

Just absolutely awesome !! Loved this song Donnie forever !
Donnie is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Elwood City north of Pittsburgh
Baldwin, suburb of Pittsburgh. Seen him many times back in the day. Great times!!!!
This is a musical orgasm. Thank you!
Albritton McClain was an incredible bassist
I was born in Pittsburgh and there is so much more to that town than those stupid sports teams. There is cultural.
That scream!! Tingles!
It doesn't get any better than this.
Absolutely brilliant
Cannot belive this kat didnt make it big.
Donnie Iris and Michael Stanley - two bands that deserved a LOT more recognition outside their fans here in the Rust Belt.
Donnie is the best, and that scream at 3:41, omg
My favorite Donnie Iris song.
Legend..!!
Epic scream
I was there.
whaaaa?!??!?!?!?!?!?!
Cool-O
All time 'what-if' summer anthem.
Love his albums and live shows. IUP for one show with my GF. Argh.... that was a long time ago !
Somewhere in the rock n roll hall of fame there is a special category for missed gems. This would be in that group, near the very top.
First live show I ever saw at a club in Lacrosse Wi and I was hooked. Back On The Streets album was so good and solid. I wish Spotify would put it up.
The CD has been reissued on Rock Candy and it's also on Amazon.
Wow brings back memories. Seen these guys a few times. Awesome
I was at that concert. Always went to see him when he was in town.Awesome.
wow man this is COOOOOL
Look out ! Albritton's Smokin"
freaking killer
Al McClain - one hell of a player. A "five tool player" in league with Peter Fredette.
best thing ive eer seem
