A drastically underrated song. It deserved a place on an 80s movie soundtrack, maybe Flashdance, Risky Business or Christine. It rocked yet never saw any radio play back-in-the-day.
Soundtrack for sure! I can think of several movies that this would be perfect for

I live in Pittsburgh, PA. You should hear Donnie Iris sing now! These guys are fantastic. They are better than they were in the '80s. It's unbelievable what this man can do. This song should be re-released and it should hit number one.
I live in pgh too, and I’m pretty sure at like 75 or whatever Donnie is he is not better now than he was in the 80s in his prime… as for the song, it’s my fav Donnie iris song also, the scream at end is iconic.

There were dam good bands Donnie with the Jaggerz,, crack the sky, Rob Parissi.WILD CHERRY, then Donnie had influence in Pittsburgh, Poison, but none as good as The CRUISERS.. I listened to Billy Squier, Donnie, and local bands.. DONNIE WAS AND IS TOP NOTCH. He came to Mingo Junction KofC and backed up Wild Cherry Robbwas so underrated.. He made dam good music.. Eric Carmen and Strawberries were a Cleveland band they tore the radio stations up I still have 8 tracks, cassettes and Albums of all these bands!! SALUTE TO ALL ! You’re the best!!!

The reason these guys weren’t bigger is they were on one of the worst record companies in existence: MCA. Most musicians said this referred to Musicians Cemetery of America.
How did I live in Pittsburgh from 1980-82 and not see this guy?
Because the burgh, has ALWAYS been, and ALWAYS will be a classic rock n roll town (WDVE still plays the same damn songs they played 30-40 years ago) and never had much appreciation for home-grown talent like Donnie. He was AMAZING, and barely even got noticed in his own town! THAT's why you missed him. It's not your fault.
That is the question I've been asking myself for 40 years.

I want a shirt like the keyboard player! I wish the record company would have sprung for better videos. Ah Leah! and Do You Compute were so cheap. The band were just as good as the national acts and MTV would have pushed them much more if they didn't have cheap boring videos. Donnie is the best!
I've checked those videos out & yes ultra low image quality as well as audio. Heard Donnie didn't really want to go on long tours & road trips preferring gigs in the tri-state area being at home after gigs. He should have had better videos & road trips may well have gotten him a larger national fan base ! ...
