My God. I mean, just, my God. This song came out in, what, 2016? When it did, it was my "New favorite song." Here I am in 2021 and it has yet to be replaced. In July, I will turn 60. And, man, looking back on where I been, and looking to where I'm headed, closer to the next life than this one, this beautiful song just says it all. I want to hug everyone I've ever known. This may possibly Mr. Tom's finest hour.
This is the absolute best performance I have seen of this beautiful Mudcrutch song. Tom sings it with such feeling, and I think it has a deeper , personal meaning to him and his life. He has had to forgive so much. I miss him so much, but I am so thankful to have all his music that I play endlessly here. Rest easy Thomas Earl Petty, you did great.
@@fourleaf8055 Tom was badly abused by his father. His father beat him very badly when he was around 5 years old. That's a lot of pain he chooses to let go of and forgive. Not hang onto any bitterness.
Only in Thee Fillmore 👌🏽 Does the audience give this gem it’s proper respect of complete Silence 🙏🏽 To see Mike & Tom Smile with such genuine Grace & Appreciation 🔥💛🔥 Thank You Tom 🌹
Damn, what a great song. It’s been a while since I’ve heard it. Tom was at his best when he was playing live in front of a crowd in my opinion. Best song writer of my lifetime.
Beautiful song…it’s been a minute since I’ve listened to it, but I’ve been getting my fill 2day. Miss you here in Kentucky Tom Petty ❤️🩹

I agree, I saw three of their shows on this short tour, and this was the best performance of those.

My favorite performance of this song as well Donna! He was so into this last show at The Fillmore.
What all did he have to forgive? I am wanting to know because his music means so much to me thanks

A place of reverence.
It was absolutely surreal to see the audience and the rest of the band, just sit back and watch Tom.
beautiful
I'd have to agree. This song does appear to have a deeper personal meaning to him that the public is aware of.

“Or I ain’t gonna do it” 😂🤣
No performer can touch me like Tom does. This was awesome.
I catch myself holding my breath on this song & many others of his. Very thankful I was around during Tom Pettys time on Earth ✊🏽✌🏽❤️🩹
