These people are perhaps the most intelligent of all the episodes so far. They build a house that fits their budget and the moment. I'm sure when you come back in 20 years, a villa is standing. They will probably save up and then enlarge the house into a villa, without having suffered a penny of pain
This young couple is so smart. It was really fun to watch them come around. They really came to understand practical design concepts and really opened up otherwise conventional spaces in their home. I was sorry to not see any of the troughs and tractor seats incorporated. I hope they do end up doing those fun farm/industrial things as they earn money. And holy cow, no debts! I love their grand entryway in their little cottage home. Lovely. Everybody's winning.
Accountants are so dynamic and imaginative

Nasty!
Absolutely extraordinary!! Fantastic home for the money - and the freedom of no mortgage from the beginning of their marriage is astounding!! Well done!!
Good for them ...... no mortgage .... legendary ❗️
What i love about them is they firm. Taking expert advice is good but many times you end up with stuff way out of budget. What's important for them is to ge a home. All the rest they can always add. So bravo for them sticking to the priorities
Would love to see it all furnished & finished

Sweet couple and beautiful location. Love the light and windows. The bathtub will be cool. Good luck with your baby👍🏽
Love your show. Wonderful Young couple, all the best for the future. x
Lovely, homey home + beautiful, verdant garden, superb. On a small budget!
There IS affordable housing; with grit, determination, smart priorities, imagination, great design professional work, hard work + discipline.
I love watching shows like this but I don't love when I watch it and the ending is not finish
Beautiful home with room to grow! Really admire this couple and also loved the suggestions made by the man who gave them some great ideas!
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account?
I stupidly lost my login password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
@Santino Alessandro instablaster :)
I enjoy this. Our house is a older restoration with a addition. We are having fun fixing it up and this is sometimes really inspirational.
Great House, Lovely Couple, Superb Teamwork 👍
There are a wonderful couple..I wish them all the best
I just hope that they gonna be happy in that house and to be a good example to ppl that there is life outside big cities.
Oh, goody. Another episode of "Guess what this is about, because we're not going to provide enough narration for you to understand." I love the mystery!
I think its actually edited for copyright purposes but Im not sure
Good for you for staying on budget.
When they have the money they'll do more to finish it. That's reality.
A lack of continuity, no information about the land, was it a gift? How did they acquire it. As a young couple I wish them all the luck in the world but the programme itself left a lot to be desired. Hopefully it will improve if it lasts.

@@davidjohngilbert6295 theyre farmers it's their own land.
Updates on these builds would be so cool!
Lovely couple 💕
It just felt like couple were just pushed to do things for the show
Why always arrive AFTER they are spending money doing things that you find wrong. They then waste money correcting what could've been avoided, IF ONLY you arrived in time to prepare them well... BEFOREHAND!!!
Lovely couple.
love it wow nice job
bravo les jeunes !
I love these guys so genuinely positive, nice and so many great ideas 💡 ❤ 💕
The cost is incredible! Not my taste at all as I like character in a home even if I have to put it in myself but great for an economic value. As for not having doors because of great insulation just no, the reason you have doors is also because of smells from the kitchen unless you want your house to fill with the smells of fish etc. lol. It is also because of privacy it is what made the modern house they showed so clinical and cold.
Our home has no hallways and no interior doors. We use sliders. It makes it more open living space.
He's telling them not to worry about storage when she's made it clear they plan to have children - I'm done. This is a smart couple trying to watch their budget. Some design can be smart but he's recommending what looks great over function.
It seems like Pierce and Kieran came in too late in the game to do much persuading. I guess you can't always pick your timing when it comes to tv. I think they were not easily persuaded, these young people. I loved seeing that first house with all of those fixtures & furniture that looked as though it came from an old school(except the chartreuse couch and matching coffee table).
husband doesnttcare about style but it is a lovely home and i hope they grow and enjoy and mature into a style
Finally, no stupid doors
I would like to learn more about the house that us featured around 12 minutes into the show. Does anybody have more info on this house? Found it: Langhus York
Preserverance. That's what you need to build yourself.
The and couple are super cute, but the video editing/music is quite disturbing
Once again, this show doesn’t deliver the ending. Housewarming party in a work site? Come on guys!
I think the designers should have keeped it more simple.
Anyone know where they went to get those secondhand items ?
When was this filmed? pre or post covid?
What happen to the narrator it is music instead Which is ashame, you want to know call the ins and outs.
Couldn't see being able to build a house that far for 66 k pound in Ireland. If it was possible I would do it.
The UK government could build 15,000 of these homes a year for the cost of migrant hotel rooms.
I wonder if Piers considers children in his designs - such as open staircases.
marylyn Huff he did mention the building regulations regarding open stairs and children.
Great content. Absolutely silly music overlay. Why?
sorry music very distracting and spoils viewing.
What is the sq ft on this house.
AMY SCHEMUER!
he can easily be a model
Another average housey-house, improved in 2 areas.
Kind of feel like the guy hosting the show is trying to bring more of himself into the home rather than letting the builders make it for themselves sometimes.
I agree, but I really like the architect, doing his best to bring out creativity and fun while keeping cost in mind.
The architect is giving them ideas, they have very less budget. I think it's a good thing to do.

Sometimes. This guy has a definite bias towards modern, though this particular show he broke away from some of his habits. A house should also be as much about function rather than just appearances.
1/4 of floor plan stairs? really?
The host just steam rolling that young couple when they make any decision that they want 🤦♂️
Piers is trying to do is offer creative, low cost alternatives. Green paint costs the same as Magnolia. I am=dmire what they have accomplished as a couple.
@@davidf2118 I'd imagine they would paint themselves. Paint isn't that expensive tbh. 10 litres is around 30 quid depending on the brand. I personally feel he is justified in trying to open their mind on colour and design. Magnolia is associated with many rentals because it is cheap.
@@davidf2118 I've painted many houses for people. Magnolia is chosen because it's cheap and they have them in 10 litre tins from as little as £10. If people can't remember what colour they have painted a room then their memory is pretty poor in my opinion... Especially if it's widely used in a whole house/apartment.
@@davidf2118 well I'd say tiles are very much different to paint buddy. Brilliant white and magnolia are used the most commonly used paints in rental properties in my experience and its matt emulsion. They are cheap and easy neutral colours. 10 litres and even 20 for Leyland is super cheap. There's no point in spending £60 quid for 2. 5 litres of a decent paint for a rental. As for memorising the paint used, clients or agents usually have a go to colour for their portfolio. It's not hard for them to remember colours and many have records of everything done these days anyway. Tiles, I have zero experience with but I have seen many different styles.
@@davidf2118 like I said, tiles and bricks are different to paints. Quite simple answer surely? Matt emulsion and a colour from a particular brand.
Why is the narration missing?
Background 'music' is so bad I can't watch any more of this. Pity, as seems like a good programme.
that shows you, your wet weather and small overhang is bad design
This was a desperate attempt at showing that you can build a “cool quirky house” for cheap but these architects don’t understand that necessity is fucking more important and just annoyed a young couple whole wanted to build a simple house to live in
First house is very cluttered.
DIY Daily - Why do you keep uploading these vids with no voiceover? No narration? You are missing half the sound track!!! These are boring to watch without the narration. I like the narration. Fix them!!! Please!!!
Then don't watch, for free. Get over yourself.
WTF??? What did you do to this show?
Architects remove or lower craftsmanship and build quality
God, these two are soooo naive , in their styling . I dont believe they actually know what they want ?
@chrismacsims a box of serial is much cheaper!
@chrismacsims my response was to a comment which has now been deleted it seems, they used the comparison of a cereal box to the building in taste, my observation was that it was no comparison due to cost comparison.
How dull
Its not finished yet. What are they celebrating?
The diligent cupboard endogenously stuff because bracket unequivocally shock up a moldy temper. magical, elderly drama
What????
You designers are ridiculous, really, open stairs when they're having kids.
did you not hear the reasons why the stairs would be safe with kids ?
@@rubberdc Still no railing!
@@rubberdc no. Open rises are definitely not safe for children however small the gap!!!!
HALF THE SHOW IS MISSING (VOICE EDITED OUT. REPLACED WITH MUSIC). You've RUINED the program.
These two clown architects are trying their hardest to screw up a perfectly good plan.
If Piers wants to be taken seriously as a presenter, he needs to learn how to talk whilst keeping his hands still instead of waving them about.
Omg how miserable r this couple.
I assume you are joking. They were a lovely couple, always smiling and happy.
Nothing wrong with them. They seem quite pleasant.
I can’t understand building a house in a hole. And you can tell these young people have no personality they built a house without a personality. Hopefully as the mature they will be able to improve on the house especially on the outside. Oh and the interior. Practicality is good but sometimes in small ways you need to step out of the box
Some people have more important issues in their mind than building a house with "personality". Perhaps their taste is different to yours?
That house at 13m47s is horrid. Awful kerb view, and interior is terrible. Please don't think freaky avant garde kitsch suits the countryside - it does not.
I like how the homeowner stood up to the "professional". That was a good comeback "because it works".
Yes, mock magnolia all you like but at least it will never go out of fashion and it is not offensive, unlike some of the suggestions from the so called professionals. A small house has to look uniform otherwise it looks even smaller if each room and area has its own colour scheme.
The house at 22m46s is another monstrosity. Like an ugly scifi creation. Also plonked in the middle of nowhere, looks like an ugly barn on the prairie.
🤢🤮
