Happy Bday! Gotta luv storms in a 10fter. lol
If ya want to hit those ponds getcha 2 kids 20in bicycles, cut them off just in front of the seat posts and fasten them together just a bit wider than the bottom of your boat kinda like a horse racing sulky. Flip the boat, ratchet strap the sulky on, flip 'er back over and you have a cart that rides about waist high. Welding it is best but I built mine before I could weld, used a couple 2x3's and ubolts to fasten the top and threaded rod down by the axles to tie the bottom together. Not pretty but better for going cross country than the Jon boat wheels you can buy and a lot more fun than trying to carry or drag if you have any distance to cover.
Thanks bud! Hey, that actually would work for that one pond that's all grown up, because it's literally like a 4x4 event watching people try to put in. I could just walk that down there. I could also put my kayak in a little easier. Thanks for the cart tip!
@@JonBoatRiverCatsYou are welcome. A neighbor turned me on to that years ago. The only real change I made to his design was to add a larger handle to the bow of my Jon so to make it a bit more comfortable to pull. A decent welder might be able to build better from scratch but the bike halves are just about ready made for it and overkill sturdy. --And cheap at yard sales. lol
Happy birthday.
Thanks bud!
Happy Birthday Bro Mine was the 21st and my youngest son’s is today
Yeah! September babies lol, thanks for the bday wishes bud
I never catch nothing at clifton pond 😔
right now, ponds are turning over. It's hard to catch anything, anywhere. Water is super murky. Best thing to do on Clifton is get a kayak in and work the left bank all the way around that side all the way to the shallow end. I've pulled some nice ones out on that side with culprit worms and dingers. During the right time of summer, and during sunrise and sunset they will tear up top water baits close to shore. Also, when the water is really coming over the dam... go under the bridge where I was, there's usually some nice bass stacked up against the wall.
Not sure why but YT hasn't been sending me alerts wheb ya drop a new vid 😒
They do that. Not sure why either. But I "try" to post weekly
Baby Bass or Catfish candy?
Never tried live smaller largemouth for bait. The laws here only allow one under 14 in or 15 i can't remember. Also haven't had a lot of luck on cut Bass, but willing to try again.
@@JonBoatRiverCats I'd use them live . Possibly on a float
