Worked on the bridge for 3.5 years. All the concrete designed by me. Fun facts: each tower is on 21 piles each containing around 400cum of concrete, the pile caps are 5500cum of concrete and the bridge is 50m above sea level and the towers are 150m tall. The Philippines should be proud of this bridge as it is a testament to engineering at it's best.
Remember when I was kid, we used to ride boat instead of flying, kase mas affordable means of transportation especially for the whole family. I still remember the names of the ships like the Philippine Pricess, Sweet Roro from Sulpicio and William lines. Good memories back in the early to mid 80’s Cebu to Manila round trip. Power on bro!
I REMEMBER TOO YEAR 19 82 MY BROTHER AND ME I WAS JUST 9 YO.. IHAHATID LANG KAMI SA PIER 14 NG MANILA... AT IHAHABILIN SA KATABI NAMIN BED PAPUNTANG TACLOBAN .... THEN MY AUNTIE WILL FETCH US THERE .... AND THE BOAT IS. TADDDAAAAN..... DOÑA PAZ .... HAHAHA 😂😂😂😂😂. THATS A HELL OF SUMMER ADVENTURE ... OVERLOAD AND CAPACITY IS TOO MUCH... WALA PANG BUS NUN ... Many many years ago, I took a SuperFerry ship by WG&A (the precursor of 2GO) to take the board exam. On our way back to Iligan, the ship passed by Cebu. At that time they allow passengers to disembark and so we walked straight to the direction of SM, grassland pa ang lot, bought a few things and went back to the ship immediately. Boy I missed riding ferries.
Thank you for sharing your adventure with Kumar #BecomingFilipino❤😊 There's a lot of changes in the Philippines 🇵🇭I hope I'll experience travelling in a boat when I retire 😅❤Have a wonderful time😊🤍🇨🇦
Kulas what i notice to you your enjoying your life in Philippines,it seems your life is so cool no problem at all and being good vlogger too, more vlogger to come and show you here
Wonderful to see you Kulas and Kumar doing another trip together. I know we will have lots of fun with you both. My regards to everyone from Central Florida, USA. 🎉
nice you shared that Kulas, I did Dvo to Manila i think it took 48 hrs. it was called Super Ferry then and all you hear is Sharon Cuneta singing, but that ship of course looks better now.
I also have an experience when we were on a ship named Superferry 12. There is a young lady from Cebu and she speaks Bisaya all the way through. The moment we arrived maybe at around Corregidor island she started talking in Tagalog. During our conversation, she accidentally dropped her bottled water inside our cabin room and loudly said "HALA NABASA ANG TUBIG! That made me think if she said it right?
I’m glad to watch this blog . I cant wait to see Mindanao Philippines . I’m landing toCebu first . Watching this blog it helps me with my plans . I’m debating either riding a plane or take a ferry . Thank you Kyle. ❤❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
i missed taking the boat all the way to manila (before the journey takes 2nights and almost 3days in SuperFerry, from Dapitan to Manila vice versa) good old days ❤
Exciting!!! I’ll do this! Kulas wear proper support shoes - in a few years your feet will be hurting and unhealthy with too much tsinelas wearing while walking and traveling. Take it from an expert
Epic Bro! love your Videos, came across your videos by researching the Philippines because we will be staying here for around a year and making tons of videos! so watching your videos helped us learn more about the Philippines. We will be also taking the giant Ferry 2go from Manila to Cebu in a couple weeks so we are trying to learn what we are in for hahaha. super interesting!
Man love riding in 2go had same kind room. Karaoke at night good food. I was exited and happy first time riding it.the boarding was a workout all those stairs I rode it butuan to cebu. Awesome I wanna try your route
My experience going to CDO by Superferry was that the captain put the boat in full speed trying to reach CDO before the 7 pm boat going to Cebu. He needed to drop anchor because the 7 pm boat was going out. The boat went around and around to dislodge the anchor. We reach CDO port after 10 pm with several hours late.
It seems a lot of effort and running around to put a cycle on a ferry, but the process is half the fun... at least the first few times. It's not the fastest way to travel, but I always look forward to it and even more so on a ship like that. Wow!
That's one long winded process. I used to live in the south east of England and we used to travel regularly with our car to France by ferry. Even in the 1990s you just bought your ticket, drove to the check-in entrance, show your ticket and passport and board. So much simpler. Having lived in the Philippines 4 years and I'm getting used to the processes, but having to go to multiple locations to achieve one outcome has to be frustrating for Filipinos too.
Present po... Keep safe, stay healthy po... pashout out po sa wife ko Jecyl Sunga at 2 kids ko sila Angel Raphael and Princess Thalia from Cagayan de Oro City. Thank you po!
22:50 wow, watched the entire video. This is a perfect choice actually if you are not in a hurry. Have fun Kulas and Kumar. I just realized your names are twins lol 😅
"Ano bang ibig mong isabaw sa bihon?" = "What do you intend to cook with for the bihon soup?" (literally: "What do you intend to soup with bihon?") Word play on: "Ano bang ibig mong sabihin?" = "What do you mean?" (literally: "What do you intend to say?") "ibig" = intent, desire Not to be confused with "Pag-ibig" = love (archaic "desire", "attraction")
Nice to see you two on the road again. Too much regulations, theyprocess & fees to get your motorcycle on board, why don't they consolidate it together!
Something I don't miss in the Philippines is the red tape to process transactions. Countries like Canada would only require you to click your mouse if you are travelling with a vehicle. Done in a minute or two. A seamless process. Kulas had to spend half a day mazing from one building to the next trying to figure out what to do. Too much paperwork! 😆
Before I used Superferry from Manila to CDO with stopover to Cebu. In Cebu we went SM City Seaside but because we were lost in translation I was not able to buy Lechon Cebu in foodcourt.
I remember loading my scooter in 2GO. They steal some tools from the ubox and a some other things since you surrender your keys. Didn't know we can't file anything for that. It's just what it is.
Alright its room 214..lets sing together 214 by river maya..... "Am I real? Do the words I speak before you make you feel? That the love I left for you will see no ending? Well, if you look into my eyes then you should know That there is nothing here to doubt, nothing to fear And you can lay your questions down, 'cause if you'll hold me We can fade into the night and you'll know.".....keep safe kulas and kumar.
I work there last year in macabalan pier from July 5 until Aug. 31, 2023 I was assigned in berth 16 as a security guard. Now I am here in jollibee puerto
The last time I ride a boat from Zamboanga City to Manila I was alone and only 12 yrs old and the boat was big and awesome I could remember other boats have open cinema me and my late dad used to go on ships a lot Amping
4k each is expensive for just 2GO business class room. as fas as I know, you have to pay just the room and its for 2 pax which from CGY to MNL this include the ticket which is cost only 3-4k for 2 persons not each.
In the U.S. (and many European countries) when traveling through any major ferry system there is a single point of contact for the driver & passengers. For short trips the driver pretty much pays the tab and drives on into their place for the short trip. For longer trips it is a bit more involved. The Philippines needs to move into the 21st century.
The government should lessen the steps and make it more seamless for ease of travel. Thanks for this video, I as a Filipino didn't know how to use a ferry with a vehicle.

That looks like a load of fun to do just as a mini cruise between CDO and Manila! Don't really need to get off or go anywhere. 😲🤙

Paper work is a pain specially if buildings is all over, The boat looks like a cruise ship.
Nakakamiss Ang sumakay Dito. Watching here in Riyadh K.S.A. enjoy guys❤🙏
Wow! Giant Ferry!.department store, groceries and even karaoke.i will definitely try that..
Barko pa more!
They should centralized the boarding passes for ships there in one building..No need to go 4 or 5 separate offices to process the documents..
This is nice Kulas and Kumar. Travel Vlog of sorts. More of this please. 👍🏽🙏🏽. Salamat po - Tey from Cavite

i think they're bringing back the super-ferry and sulficio lines types of of ferries.. thats 1 big ferry indeed...

Its Really embarrassing for tourist. Really its sucks..
I think it depends what port. Some ports have sort of centralized it now by having all the papers/permits in one building.
@bakimum5286 very probably, it's not so complicated for foot passengers. But taking any kind of vehicle adds more processes.
Welcome back here in Manila👌👌👍👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🙏
Enjoy the trip 👍👏❤️
Katuwa nman magtagalog si kulas😁
It feels nostalgic. I remember your earlier videos joining Sinulog where you got drunk and were giving your hand-made headband to the Badjaos.

Its like a mini cruise. A day and a half. Fun!
having a private room, the deck space, and the coffeeshop made a really great difference for a long boat ride.
Enjoy & have fun❤❤❤
Nice to see you two on the road again. Too much regulations, theyprocess & fees to get your motorcycle on board, why don't they consolidate it together!
