@6:50 yes that Henry Cavill and no they didn't pay him. He approached them and said he wanted to be in the game, because he was a fan and a backer. He did this for free.
i mean would not say i am that young anymore xD Pacing is important for any movie and since there are a lot of cutscenes that should apply here as well. But as i said in the video, it might feel very different when actually playing the game.
@@NoNaNelson69 then grab your nearest fidget spinner and fight to extend your attention span?? Asking for shorter scenes with Chris Roberts is like asking for the removal of feet scenes in a Tarantino movie.. It's not happening. This is how Chris does it. Always has been. Those that understand his craft will respect it for what it is. If you want less, you need a different title. None of the scenes overly long. They tell a story.
Prologue, epilogue or middle of the game, if I find them to long it is what it is. You can think differently about it that's fine. No reason to be like this.
I like the slower pace of the intro, too many games rushg these days and dont take proper time to establish characters/scenes/story, wish you uploaded the whole reaction tho, not cut up pieces
waiting conserves ammunition until the enemy ships are closer within engagement range. In star citizen, just because you can hit someone at 1km with your s2 gun doesn't mean you'll do a lot of damage. The spread of the shots makes it increasingly difficult to maintain accuracy at longer distances. So waiting until the enemy fleet is well within optimal range, you can merk a lot of them right off the jump rather then letting them be prepared for the rounds incoming.
Sorry to be a bit negative but you are full of contradictions in this reaction: - 2026 is too long away and at the same time you don't believe they can release it in any near future. Maybe that is why they took 2026. It is enough away that even with more delays they will still hit the date and the timeframe is big enough that they don't need to plan within a tight release window - When we are in gameplay you want a cutscenes and when we have a cutscene it is too long. Heads up: Because they have more time in this than a movie, the cutscenes will sometimes move slower than a movie but for me at least, that immerses me more. Based on the 2017 vertical slice in later chapters we will have more gameplay compared to cutscenes but because you don't take a big part in this battle we needed some cutscenes to show the battle itself while after the battle is almost over we get more gameplay because that is the moment your character "just wants to survive" As for what a game this is. Of course only CIG knows for sure but right now I see it somewhat similar to Metro Exodus. It for sure will be more of a game and less of a movie compared to Quantic Dream games but because of that probably also not have as many branches in the story. The base story will most likely be pretty scripted and not changeable
i contradict myself because not all my comments are ment to be taken 100% serious ;) which ofc is not easy to spot for people outside of my community, sorry 🙈 The game will stand on its own for sure and be its own thing. The only thing i am truely negative about is the release date, as i believe it will get delayed even more. But i am fine with being wrong on that!!! Anyway, Thx for your comment!
It's funny you should ask for just a movie. This is basically the movie chris has always wanted to make. When he made Wing Commander (the movie), he was siphoning development funds from Freelancer to pay for his movie. This is why he was ultimately removed from his responsibilities for Freelancer (that and his overbearing micromanagement which ALWAYS leads to being way overtime and overbudget on every project). Now this is 100% his rodeo, and he's riding it how he wants. He's making the space sim that he's always wanted, and the space movie that he's always wanted. The SQ42 series will literally just be interactive movies, and we're footing the bill instead of a big publishing company and investors. Now, with all that said, I'm still gonna play the fuck out of these games from my retirement home.
This has nothing to do with being impatient. Imo the scenes are dragging and need more editing. It's fine if you do not think so, I mean some people enjoy the Rebel Moon movie I get it. I even say only a little bit and you act like I would wanna cut the whole thing into a tiktok lol.
@@GalacticTactic The Game will have over 40 Hours of cut scenes. Without the Gameplay. so i guess the game isnt for you if you dont like to play a interactive film/story.
@@GalacticTactic Well, I thought it was well-balanced. This is a huge space battle, not a quick skirmish. The time for build-up, strategies, and gradual wearing down of fleets should reflect that.
I enjoy cutscene heavy interactive story games very much thank you, but these make good pacing even more important. I am not even criticising this to shit on the game even lol, I just want it to be good. And ofc that can be subjective.
Sure, then I would question if the Prologue is the right place for such a heavy scene, might feel unearned. Usually that kind of battle needs build up within a story, get to know and care for characters first. But as said actually playing oneself might do the trick.
about the cutscenes. they could be a tiny bit shorter but i think for the beginning of the game and to get into the lore and how the world in SQ42 its ok. better then the COD 15seconds briefing we are the good guys and they are the bad guys so kill them and waking up in middle of the battlefield. but its a lot of negativity in the video which makes is like hard to watch at some points.
Pacing is a thing and is very important if you wanna grab the audience. I say a tiny bit to improve the pacing and not cut it into a tiktok. I also would say that I state a lot of positive things in this video for example the music, subtitles or the Eva scenes.
GalacticTactic you are the third woman which I watch react to this, and all have similar problems whits length and start to make fun, but I need to make clear that this is a single player simulation game, in a realistic universe based on our universe (no unicorns, samurai, and dragons in same universe BS), and not an arcade game which has the liberty to be anything in physics.
