The talk about contested zones and death of a space man. I think either death of a space man should matter like it would any where else, or you should only have access to the area x amount of times per reset. If it comes down to, die, rez and put new gear on. Run in, die and do it all over again. It kind of defeats the purpose of putting a strong group together just to have to kill the same enemy player 50 times. Especially with every reset of the contested zone(weekly, monthly or when ever) everyone and thier mother is going to show up day 1 of the area reseting. Say there are 70 players going in. How can a player make it to the end if there is always 69 players chasing them. If dying in the CZ matters people will think and prep before they go in. If it's infinite lives it's about who has the most money
A work around I could see with contested zones and death of a spaceman, would be to have your DNA degredation based on distance from where you die to where you respawn. So if you have your respawn set at Ruin station and you die there, theres no loss, but if your spawn is in stanton, you would get some loss. This also creates a greater need to have ships with a med bed to respawn you if you're out far from a hospital, and also prevent cheesing fast travel with backspacing, as the further you are the more degradation you get.

Again I get why it is the way it is, I mean Ive been here since 2014, but I too share a simillar sentiment.@pythohoar
Because, while still alpha, it is sort of also a released live service game, and people play it as such, and play it regularly. Also not everything will be found by release, the longer you can hold onto information the longer you have an advantage over the other players and orgs you're competing against.
So while some people, like you and me, see SC as still an alpha in testing and maybe not worth getting too invested in, others are just enjoying it as it is now, and playing regularly. I kind of get their point too, as we don't know if/when the game will collapse, so might as well play it as a "released" game now.
between that and his fucking crying about people holding to the PVE things that CIG has said for a decade plus... cringe all the way around
voip will add nothing to help prevent stupid.
I heard him say that and winced myself. He is getting further and further out of touch, it wont be long before he is wearing an ascot.
PVE all my time. but PVP in FPS is diffrent from PVP in ship battle. dunno why people avoid it. you guys never play PUBG, CoD, Fortnite etc etc... its more fun actually
Is every player abusing multiple accounts? Bad mentality to be thinking "I want these weapons on multiple accounts so I have spares". That's not buying into the universe.
WRONG, you get more then 1 Chance to release 4.0..there's a 4.01, 4.02, and 4.03 and ON and ON. Really the BIG ONE is 1.0 That's the release that will bring in 10's of thousands of NEW Players who have been waiting for Star Citizen to "Release". 4.0 while Big for us old backers is just "Another NOT finished its not done it still Alpha release to everyone else who isn't Knee Deep in Star Citizen. Currently 4.0 isn't any Worse then the Current PU. They are both buggy crashy barely works..4.0 just adds more content that doesn't work half the time. You Know the same as always.
Yeah, the change from the hangar module to 3.0 wasn't that big or important. Surely the change from 3.0 to 4.0 won't be that hype either.
You can't be serious
mike is fun.. but wrong
Not suprised Mike would defend seal clubbing. Hes got people to watch his back and give him the rewards cuz he is a content creator. Must be nice to have privilege.
It aint seal clubbing, its fool clubbing. People who have not bothered for a decade in getting the slightest skills in combat or social networking with players or orgs just dont have any business in being in certain parts of a star system like Pyro, period. Get better, get friends or gtfo.
(Of course i am talking about combat actions that do not go against the terms of service)
@@DerDrecksack87 I already know the seal clubber position. Doesnt affect me at all because im out, and a lot of us seal are going to be out as well.. and then you might have to actually take on some other PVPrs before the project collapses from the mass exodus, and you dont have the skill to fight prepared players.
@GeneElder.R027 i usually dont pvp unless attacked, but i am all for the pvp loop getting a healthy boost. I dont like pad rammers or torp snipers that hit you as soon as you leave quantum, but other that i am open for everything. Most dudes will even help if you fight good, had an entire team of pirates escorting me a few times, they hate bed loggers and cowards who qt away as much as we hate griefers. But Pyro is brutal, no way even i would stay long without a few of my mates, its gang territory.
