After using the deer repellant that has dried blood in it, I bought several bags of blood meal and sprinkled it around plants that I wanted to keep deer away from. Then I cut up old onions and mushy garlic pieces and sprinkled those around other plants. Both methods have worked well and they are good for both the soil and plants.

I’ve heard of using Irish Spring soap placed around the garden in packets made from pantyhose. You can also use pantyhose to hold other repellants. It refreshes every time it rains since the pantyhose packets are porpoise and stronger than gauze or cheesecloth.
Thanks for the video. We planted arborvitae’s this spring and got the liquid fence at Home Depot. I also like the soap idea. Thanks again for posting your video.
Thanks Rocky, so far Peter rabbit has not gotten into the garden and the garden is off to a good start, already have tomatoes and its not even July! Of course, they are not ripe yet, but they are coming out early. Stay well Rocky, and thanks for the comment!
Thank you Tikki O. Hope you have a great harvest. Last year I had a rough go at germinating cilentro and spinach. This year however it is going well. I'm trying half in soil and the other half hydroponically. Hope you all stay healthy as well 😀
I've found that putting a couple of barberry trimmings on the leaves of hostas will keep deer away and it will last all season long and even into the next season if the trimming are moved up on top of the leaves as the plant grows. I'm sure it would work well for other plants as well.
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my login password. I love any tips you can give me!
@Rohan Jimmy thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I cut six small chunks out of a bar...I cut bunch of squares of fabric tulle and put each one each square and pull four corners up and twist and tie knot just like wedding rice bags and got christmas ball hooks or paper clips and hang them around.
Rabbits have terrorized my lawn. I put little bags of Irish Spring, plus shavings, all around my yard. Rabbits still happily invade eating all my grass, including all the fresh new grass coming up from my overseeding. So sad seeing all the hard work go down the drain! If you come up with any more ideas that might work, please do post.
Raccoons are my problem at the moment. Any suggestions? I have been using cayenne red peeper on my tomatoes, peppers, etc. By the way love your videos!
Thanks for the video. I hope the soap keeps the rabbits out of my garden. My brother uses a short fence, but he says it only works on the lazy rabbits.
Instead of the soap idea, you might want to bag up some dried blood or even some moth balls..Rabbits for sure do not like the blood smell they usually stay far away..As far as deer are concerned, leaving soiled mens t shirts hang outside will keep them away.
@@vh8765 yeah might take that. I already tried to trap them and so far only caught 1 in like a month. Idk how to trick them in. I tried putting grass and bell peppers, but no luck !
I hang the soap around the perimeter of the garden in cheese cloth bags. It doesn't seem to leave any evidence of soap. The soil is in raised garden beds, the soap doesn't get into it. Hope that helps!
Hi Jay, I think its keeping the squirrels out too. They are more interested in gathering nuts from the surrounding trees, and they love to eat the spilled birdseed from the feeder. They don't pay much attention to the garden, maybe they don't like all the smells coming from there. So far, so good. Thanks for the comment, and good luck!
I was wondering about the main ingredient in the spray...here is the description ....Egg solids are a common human food. Putrescent whole egg solids (including inedible egg powder, dried whole egg and powdered inedible egg solids) are produced from eggs that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has declared inedible for human consumption due to cracked shells or imperfections. I thought I had this for breakfast ! LOL Great video.....keep em coming.....long time fan...
Hi Tikki! Curious, is the deer wearing a tracking device? Maybe it's just fashionable and into bling? That really stinks. Have your taste buds ready for fresh corn and it's gone. 😭 Hope you have more success this season.
Hi Marty, this deer visits everyone around the neighborhood, very friendly and somehow got separated from her family. I don't know which neighbor gave her the necklace, it has a heart charm on it. She just walks up to people...I can't wait for the corn this year, we have done all we can to protect our garden!
I don’t have this “problem” where I live but the sight of any of those animals close to my window or back yard would make my heart melt. It would be so rare if that ever happened over here; I have a question. What would happen if you made a batch of plants and vegetables just for those animals (for each year) and still make and keep your own vegetables garden and still use the soap technique to keep them away from your own crops? Would it be costly or would it become a bigger problem? *sorry if I sound ignorant but I have never encountered something like this in my life*
I love the rabbits in my yard and considered them pets or room mates... Um... Bad idea. I just discovered they dug into my basement. Now there is a giant hole in the drywall and insulation in my crawl space. Looks like this is going to cost BANK
Thanks, great advice! I used to toss my kids hair around the garden when I gave them home haircuts. I stopped short with the male urine....but if it works, then go for it! Thanks for the comment, very helpful!
I love the smell of Irish spring!
I love it too!
Me too

Great information. Thank you. The rabbits are demolishing many of my young plants and bushes.
Hey Donna! This looks even better!
Loved the Peter rabbit picture at the end 🐇 Great to see the garden growing. 👏👍😀

Love the scent of Irish spring
I especially like the Critter Ridder product--thanks again

@Rohan Jimmy It worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out :D
@Micah Rowen glad I could help :)
We can also consult with Elmer Fudd about dealing with wabbits! Good video I wish I had seen it before the rabbits ate my kale plants.

A 12ga shot gun repel deer very well except you don't know when they are going to come.
Doesn’t the irish spring kill the plants when it foams uo after it rains???

Thanks for these ideas, they are what I need to get rid of whatever the critter are that are eating my garden!!
Thank you for the tip. I will use it

urine..male human urine dripped around the beds...
Human urine got rid of moles at friends house they where bad. Also essential oil peppermint might work or ground garlic.

🤣😂
Some rabbits are super athletic.

I guess neat tallow would work best ?
What do you think ?
Folks around here have used hair clippings from the barber shops and ladies salons.
Does the soap and liquid fence work? I need it for wild rabbits eating my grass seed at night!
Did you find a remedy? I’m trying coyote urine at the moment
@@vh8765 nope! Nothing works for me.:(
@@Repla12481I hate to do it but I may resort to shooting a few of them

@@Repla12481,
Try carrots or cabbage in the trap. I’m going to get some rabbit/deer-b-gone. I’ll let ya know how it does.
Great video thanks for sharing this info!
if it rains and you have the soap all over the garden, wouldn't the soap ruin the soil?

Does this idea work on squirrels? Don't like traps. Namaste Jay

Thanks for the info 👍
sprinkle ground up chicken feathers on plants. Once every couple of weeks. Also adds nitrogen to soil. Doesn't harm plants.

excellent
Thinking about getting some jingle bells, too to make noise
We finally installed an electric fence, and it really works! Good luck Bobbie Sue!
@@TikkiOOO I wish I could but no power over where my garden is.
Racoons love the soap. I tried it and something kept carrying it off. I would find it on the ground full of little teeth wholes. Go figure. :-)
I had lilies about to bloom, the deer came and ate all the flower heads about to bloom.
I just purchased a pack of 24 bars of soap for $17. Hope it works lol.
did it work?
Dried blood might bring in the coyotes. Thanks for video.
Human hair in bags (from beauty shops and barbers) and male human urine dripped around the beds will repel many animals... bur for deer a good fence..

The animal at the video's title picture looks like a hare, not a bunny. Bunnies have shorter ears and shorter faces. Just sayin'.
more coyote less rabbit (:
😁✌🖖👌👍😎
They ate the irish soap
Yup. We are putting up an electric fence next week, that should do it!!!
