Damn right nerd music!!!! You almost have to have uneducated ear and one hell of an internal clock to enjoy listening to this kind of thing, let alone playing it. they’re very few musicians out there that are these guys ages that are playing this caliber up there with Chick RIP, and the Electric band and others in that same ballpark. These guys are gonna be killing it like crazy at the blue note in New York and Japan if they haven’t already and Lord knows they’ll be on a different level in their 50s and 60s as they age together. So tight, so fluid… The hours of rehearsal is obvious, but so is the chemistry.
And thank God, you can’t twerk to it for a change. Frank Zappa would be proud.

Very tight band ; the music flows. Every player is characterful and impressive. The compositions are beautiful. We're blessed this sort of musician is still produced in America.

Zack...wow..very creative drummer...great band ..nice to see young musicians pushing the envelope of this genre in 2023...love the risk the whole band takes when venturing into the beautiful variation on themes through out the whole performance...Zack seems to almost lose it ..out of control..but in total control...great drum mastery shown here ...cheers

Tight! I can hear all the trombone and trumpet parts that aren’t there but definitely belong there lol not having them doesn’t make it bad, but having them, would definitely make it better! Get a couple bad to the bone horn players to support the saxes and you really have something that’s not just special, but extra special!
