I’m A Happy Cloud In A Sky Of Blue - By Randy Bowles

My new song is written in the style of the Great American Songbook. I think it’s a good follow-up to my last effort, which was “Her Beauty Shamed The Fairest Flower”. This song is from the point of view of a person who has passed on and wants to let you know that all is well. It’s somber but not sad. - Not meant to be sad, anyway. I wrote it in the style of the late 30s-to-mid-50s simply because that’s how it arrived in my head. As I typed out the initial lyrics, the melody came along. Nothing about the process was on purpose. -- At 3 am, the titles to two songs came into my consciousness, and I wrote both of them in an hour. I do NOT know how this happens. I’ll share the other one soon. Lyrics for this one are in the pinned post.
