New to your channel and really like it! To your question, I like when people talk about bottle design, etc., but don't factor it into your score (like you did). I do like that you include mouth feel. I think that's a very underrated factor in enjoying a pour. I like the format and the scoring, as well as the length of the video.

I would like to see the transparency included in future scores, but I do like this format as it stands! I enjoy hearing you talk, but not every one of those older criteria necessarily needed to be included.
I bought this bottle I thought it was very complex. Very bright and sweet on the front like citrus, caramel and vanilla end with tons of oak in the mid palate. I feel it finishes with a little bit of pepper and tobacco. Great mouthfeel as well.

I was torn about the 10 category format -- I like talking about bottle design and transparency and such, but having it weighted equally to the actual liquid in the bottle seemed funky. Maybe keep the 5 categories, but at the end of the review, give some sort of bonus award to bottles that go above and beyond in one of those other categories. Maybe it's in a top-notch bottle design, or it's just an excellent value, or they have tons of info on the label. And those can get an extra shout-out at the end.
I like the idea, we will discuss those things for sure moving forward.
I like the new format, allows to compare overall score along with specifics with other bottles.

Watching an episode I somehow missed. I absolutely love Barrel batch #33. I bought Vantage before batch #34. I like Vantage better than #34, but still like #33 more than both. 🥃

I am a little late on this one but yes actually bottle design does matter to me because I like to look at the bottles when I'm not drinking them. I want them to look cool!
That being said, I won't sacrifice my palate a whiskey I don't like for a bottle that looks exceptionally good. Unless I pour that one out, then pour the one I like into it.

Yes! I like that it’s judging the actual whiskey on its own Merritt.
I've had blantons, have 7 bottles of eagle rare, and many more alike. This little bastard puts all the others into a midshelf slot and sits all alone as the top shelf winner. I haven't had anything that has the thickness and finish, all while having less alcohol heat than 90 proofers. Barrell is high quality. I'm hoping to snag one more before Costco runs out.
98$ plus tax over here in Naples, FL...still thinking about getting it.

Really like this bottle
Availability is important I believe. But again the distillery may not have total control over that.
Price matters. I like stuff and whiskeys channel scoring system.
I like the new rating format. Bottle design may sway me if I'm picking a random bottle at the store, but says nothing about the liquor inside. I prefer a bottle to be transparent on the source, but probably wouldn't sway me, but a knowing the mash bill bill might.
thanks for the feedback! If you are here watching a video, the bottle design doesn't matter because you are researching and not sitting in a store picking randomly. That was kind of my thinking.
Format is still a work in progress. This is better than the last format, because for reals tho, nobody cares about the bottle look unless you just want to put it on display, same as availability score or price score. Most people just care about how it taste, is it good or not, would you recommend it or not so people will not waste their money on it. So yeah, only recommendation to add is, would you recommend folks to get it or not in the end. 🤷🏽♂️

Mizunara takes years to impact spirit!
It's got the Mizunara taste! I'm just saying....the Mizunara barrels used might be a little moist!
It is finished in 3 woods, not sure if I pick up much of the Mizunara but I get what you are saying.

I just picked up a bottle of this after hearing about it so much! Very underwhelming. Smooth, sure, but very little flavor. Incredibly meh. It was hyped so much, that I find it pretty disappointing. In a word, boring.
I like bottle design as notes and to talk about, but not for scoring.
