Awesome job installing the spring. Those guys are a real big help. Thanks for doing the video. I’m really learning a lot and watching your videos I have a 1930 model a coupe from Sturgeon Falls Ontario. Thanks again.
Hi Mack! The guys were actually in different Model A clubs, but they all get together for tours and stuff, if I’m remembering correctly there was 3-4 clubs doing the tour together, so awesome!
Wow! That was a pretty big job! However it’s great when fellow enthusiasts come to help! I suppose the job was completed twice as fast or maybe even quicker? Yet it was also a dangerous job, but that spreader is a great tool to get the job done. But we all know it would have never been finished if you weren’t there to supervise and to instruct them on how to properly do it! Great Job Tina, and great video as well!
Thank you so much Wayne! Many things could have been done to make the job easier and safer, but we just offered our shop so they could continue their long journey and I supervised as much as I could, I was a nervous hen knowing how dangerous this repair can be if not done right 💕
Good job everyone! Shows strong support for club membership. Thanks to Tina & Paul for opening the use of their garage. Be careful of springs under tension.
Thank you so much ! Yes, I prayed a lot for their safety, I can only supervise so much without sounding like a major nag 😜 I had them go on a coffee brake at one point 😆
It is so nice to work on a clean shop floor! It is a nightmare otherwise. Love the straightforward no nonsense engineering in these old cars. Thank you for such a nice, entertaining and informative video, Tina! God bless.
Hi Tina! I watched your video this morning and was surprised that Paul was nowhere to be found. I imagine that this repair happened on a weekday when he was out working. You both are very generous and helpful to the Model A community! Thank you thank you thank you!
I can’t even remember what day that fell on but yes, Paul had a team of guys to do a project at work and couldn’t miss it. I was left in charge lol I’m sure the guys were tired of hearing me constantly supervise them…the project was making me nervous the way they were handling things until John the experienced one came back…I got them to take a coffee break 😁😂
Awesome video, those boys did a great job on the leaf spring replacement. I'm impressed, thanks for sharing Model T. I hope everyone has a fantastic day!
Hi Tina!! Great video with some very good and useful camera shots. This will make a very informative video for someone replacing or repairing the rear springs, spring shackles, or other parts on their Model A. Great job girl!!
Hey thank you so much!! I wish I had gotten footage of how the made new shackles out of old ones to put on the new springs that didn’t come with shackles! Have a great week!
Thank you so much! I wish Paul could have been there also, things would have been much differently and easier…I can only supervise so much without sounding like a nag…but safety first!
The spreader wouldn’t have engaged on the right as the eye was broken off. I’m sure glad they moved those jack stands or that would have been a mess. “Too many cooks.” Lol
The metallic cinder blocks are a good thing to have and use...and before I could type, the disclaimer popped on screen! Haha! The 'do as I say, not as I do'! I hope you have a wonderful week and a lovely weekend! We are going on a short tour/town trip with the A's to get ice cream. Karen eats and I watch...boo-hoo!
@@Modeltshinn I absolutely love ice cream! But my blood sugar says 'Abstain'! Type 2 for quite a few years; runs in the family. The stock joke I tell is 'there is no blood in my sucrose system'. Or at work, 'there is no blood in my coffee system'.
Yes, this is why I was a nervous wreck when things weren’t done the way me and Paul would do the same job, it can be very dangerous. I prayed a lot and tried to give advice throughout. Have a nice week 💗
More proof of what good people you are! And nice job keeping the guys in line Mrs. Shinn. Thanks for sharing, have a blessed week. ~ Chuck
Awe thank you so much Chuck 💕 lol, I was praying a lot and offering advice every moment I could! Have a blessed week!
SHINN'S MODEL A SHOP! Nice to see a group of volunteers hard at work. Great video Mrs S. Thanks

Sharing resources is what clubs are for! Good job.

When you have a crew that knows what they're doing. Great video & a very cool Model A. It's ready for another road trip.
Thank you Craig 💗 Their trip was successful!

Tina, this video is a great example of teamwork I suspect these gentlemen were in the same Model A club.

Very cool to see what a process!
It is quite a process, things could have been done easier but I can only supervise so much lol

i worked in a Ford truck junk yard for years ,and when a rear leaf spring broke. it can go through the bed of the truck !

that is not a good place to put the jack stands
Yep, once John got there he had them move the jacks to the frame.
