GTA IV PC port is a train-wreck, it barely runs even on a decent system like a Ryzen 5 1600, 16 GB RAM, and a GTX 1060. but GTA V improved that, thats why they delayed the PC launch, because they didn't want GTA V to end up like GTA IV.
My PC was originally from 2009- a Dell Precision T3500, originally had a W3520. Upgraded it piece-meal over the years now to a X5687, 12GB of RAM, an SSD and a EVGA GTX 1660 Super SC. This little workstation is actually a bit of a beast now.

Srsly :/
Me too have i5 and 8gb ram. .still it strugless for gta 4..then how gta v
@@beluga8427 gta iv is unoptimized and runs worse than gta v. If your pc can run gta iv than surely gta v
I'll buy it for 15 :)
2:14 Microsoft recommends you upgrade to windows 10
Where?
This is great news, i never tought i could play it in one of my old pcs..
I had the slim version of the computer. Dell Inspiron 530s. It ran Windows Vista in the past. Now, it has been thrown away because the motherboard was damaged, the power supply was damaged cause of plugging into 240 volts, and the case was damaged. Now I have a Dell Optiplex 3020 which runs Windows 10 in my office, along with my first laptop the Dell Inspiron 6000 which came with Windows XP. The laptop works like a charm.
the music gave me a suggestion- simcity 2013 on a 13 year old family PC?
At that point you could run Cities Skylines and watch the CPU slowly dying as the city grows
@@claudiobizama5603 with a CPU like this Core 2 Duo i'm guessing it will start turning on flames once your population gets to 2,000 people.
i used to get to single digit numbers on my i7 970x with 24GB of ram once i hit over 100k population (i have been running with over 2500 assets and mods though)
it seems, in order to run something like cities skylines with all those mods just right you need as many cores as possible and as much ram as possible.
in my next build i am aiming to get a core i9 16 or 18 core with 64GB of ram or 128GB of ram (still to be determined) and a 3080Ti that is supposedly coming out this August.
i like to build a beast PC to last me a very long time, just like my current pc has been serving me for the past decade almost and i'm still able to run most games on it either maxed out or on very high settings no problems.
i'm from the group of people who rather build something extremely overpowered and insane and use that for 10 years and not have to rebuild an entire new PC every 3/4 years
Another proof how optimized GTA V really is.
That crack on his screen looks like that it's on my screen 😂😂
My PC was originally from 2009- a Dell Precision T3500, originally had a W3520. Upgraded it piece-meal over the years now to a X5687, 12GB of RAM, an SSD and a EVGA GTX 1660 Super SC. This little workstation is actually a bit of a beast now.
i am honestly impressed this ran as well as it did
should of did this test with a phenom x3 mine use to seem smoother than this on one of those
One more core works winders. Pretty sure a Q6600 would also do better, despite being around 25% slower per core.
Wait... Even though my laptop has higher specs, it still struggles with 800x600 and lowest settings
Power/Thermal throttling
What spec is your laptop?
when you start gta 5 it will run smoothly for 5 to 10 minutes after that it will lag to much
Yes,it heats ur PC very quickly
Yoo Wtf!!!!
No way you can get that smoothness
NO FUCKIN WAY!!
I had this as my very first computer, and I picked it up off the curb. the only thing missing was a hard drive, so I slapped it in and I absolutely loved that machine for two straight years when I bought another one.
Try on AGP Graphics xD
9700k: 60FPS
Core 2 due: can run GTA V
me: 🥺
My wallet: 😭
graphi
graphic?
I don’t understand this comment
@@Agent47real neither do i
I’m surprised, I thought that the game required at minimum a core i5
And we have a KO from the 13 year old PC, what a fight that was ladies and gentlemen
Tbh That pc with its specs must have been all the rage back in 2007
Fun Stuff...My comment to show support and appreciation for your efforts is as follows... Big Thumbs Up...
This 13 year old pc runs gta V better than my previous laptop with i5 4200U, 4GB DDR3, GT 720M
If I remember right Windows 10 handles RAM better than 7. It also has a built in FPS counter. (Windows Button + G) I would've liked to see this tested on 10 as well
0:21 In what world is GTA5 free?!
it was free on the Epic game store at one point.
@@sherpafan033 OK
The fact that this runs gta better than my laptop does is insane
The PC I specced up to play GTA IV when it was new is basically this, except a 512MB 8800. Time to dig it out of the bottom of the wardrobe!
damn, that old pc is more better than my gen 4 intel core i7 laptop with dedicated gpu 0_0
That PC is older than the majority of the fanbase of GTA V.
Exactly my pc and I got this video recommended and I subscribed now cuz you got my pc
I cant believe this thing could game better than my brand new PC
