Hey Lovelies! In this video I am reviewing Beetles nail tip and glue set. I know you all want to know is this a good dupe for apres gel x, or even Kiara sky Gelly tips. A lot of companies have come out with their own version of this style of nails, so make sure you watch the entire video to get my honest thoughts. Hey Heather. I appreciate you saying that. I’m still learning myself so not very many of my nails come out “perfect”. I’m glad showcasing that was received well.
I used this kit for the 2nd time and changed up my process for longevity. I've had this set on for 2 almost 3 weeks.
Etched the nail tip base. Also buffed my nail bed after primer and dehydrator. 1 layer of nail glue cured on both my nail and the tip.
My nails didn't budge. 3 weeeeeksss

Can you explain that again what you do to make it last? I want to try this, but I'm confused on the steps
@@feliciafelicia6965 so when she said she etched the nail base, what she’s doing is buffing off the shine on the underside of the nail tip (where it adheres to your natural nail only). I do the same with this kit and I find it helps the glue attach better. The only thing I do differently is, I buff my nails prior to applying the dehydrator & primer. These steps truly help though. The nail set ends up having the strength of acrylics without any lifting for me. (I got my dehydrator & primer from Amazon.)

Can I ask how you got them off? I really want to purchase these but I don't know if i should purchase a nail drill as well to get them off when i want to change them up! :)
I ordered this kit a while ago and got it for like $15 I believe I love beetles anything lol...I love the glue cause it's a multi use the tips were good for me..I have many kits from Apres..ENC..Kiara sky..and a few off brands from Amazon ..I use my ENC tips with the beetles glue and light...I love how honest you are Verdie and give all brands a shot and you don't put brands down you just STATE YOUR OPINION

I love this kit! I got it and I’m two weeks strong with my first set. The tips are quite long and I’m a busy mom of two so I ordered some shorter ones off kiara sky because I am not good at shaping nails lol!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this kit. I honestly love Apres even if they're a bit costly. I bought a XVX kit solely for the lamp. It's by far my favorite lamp to use for applying full cover tips. Easy to see exactly what your doing, no real maneuvering to get under the light and no light hitting the tips before ready.
Anytime I buy tips that I'm not a fan of I simply use them to practice designs on.
I really enjoyed this kit, my nails stayed on for over a month! Great value for the price. Great video!

Kiera sky is my favorite… I love everything about the set. I did by the Beatles set and I was very pleasantly surprised. I love the length, the gel/glue and the price.

I've been an ImPress press on nail gal for a while and while I love them and their ease, I'm wanting something that stays on longer than 10 days. Plus, I want to get back to using dip powder. I've seen so many reviews for the gelly full cover nails and finally ordered tonight. I will be honest, I went with the Kiara Sky instead of the Beetles (even though I am saving your video to watch again while I do the application. :D) for a couple of reasons, the K.S. lamp looks easier to work with and I like the fact they provide (and number) the primer and dehydrator. Once I've tried them, I may get the Beetles kit, just to compare. Your video was fantastic and a huge help. Many thanks.
How do you remove them?
@@standoutcheetah7994 You can use 100% pure acetone with a cotton ball and either foil or clips (lots of videos) or use gel polish removers and follow the directions. I am into my third week with my first set of Kiara Sky and they are still going strong.

I feel u I did the same I just removed the whole 10 nails and redid and that's the good thing about diy! You control what u want on ur nails 😜

As a nail tech far as fit on the nail because my nail beds are flat too you've done everything that you can do you added a base coat maybe add a little bit more of the gel product to try to fill in the Gap like a filler that's what I do hopefully that can get you that fit that cut you want

Good morning from across the pond ,in sunnyPlymouth,England .. I have been buying beetle nail dip powders the last couple of months off Amazon, here in the UK it’s seems to be the ones to buy at a very reasonable prices .. I have seen kits similar to the one you have on this video ,I wasn’t sure about them.. I may look into it a bit more ..I not keen on the coffin shape,my granddaughter loves that shape .. me personally like the square tips and not too long ,even though I have done a set using tips which are longer than I normally would do them ..
They have gone up to 25.99, still bought it think it’s worth the product.

So I just got this kit - I'm a tota DIY nail nube so I don't even know if the answer to the following question matters and if it does why it does HOWEVER one tutorials I watched the prior to yours said that these nail tips were gel and then I believe you said plastic?
I googled it and Google said they are made of gel but now I'm curious WHAT material they actually are and will that affect their staying power or durability? Thanks !

What if I don't have an e-file? Is it okay to just use a regular file? I'm scared to use an e-file. When I used to go to the salon, they always used to nick my cuticle area..

I got that color kit and was not excited about it., I dont know what made me buy it. The consistecy is thick and patchy.

Great video! I’ve watched several videos with this kit. Is there a different kit that has short nails? I looked up your products on your Amazon and I’m going to get one of those electric nail files but the cheaper one. Thanks
If you have really thin nails and they're flexible this may not last 2/3 weeks because it's the nail that you have that's weak that's bending underneath that's causing it to lift I don't file too much because my nails are already thin but my heart hurts because I'm a nail tech and they started lifting around 10:00 or 11 days not even a full 2 weeks 😩
Also clean the spillage around the cuticles really good because that can cause lifting eventually so I'm going to try this again and try to make sure I do my very best to see if there's any spillage around the cuticle that I missed I hope this helps somebody that think they did everything that they could it may not be the product it might be your nail itself
Also try to troubleshoot your application the less air bubbles the better air bubbles equal lifting/ can cause lifting I did all that I could but I am going to try again just to make sure I'm not messing up because people are doing really great sets with this keeping them on 2 weeks 3 weeks
Ok. so I never could wear glue on fake nails, ya know, the ones you get in a box at walmart or beauty supply, they hurt, they made me feel claustrophobic and I chewed them off within a day.. and I had them short short, Im a nail biter. Are these gelly nail full nails that they put on with polygel or glue feel any different. Now, I can wear a pro acrylic set for weeks and they not bother me, they feel like an extension of my real nail.
It's all good girl lol... I have this kit but hadn't used the tips yet- I was trying 2 decide if I like this lamp or the pottle, or the pink makartt one lol... 🤦🏾♀️ I don't like using white gel polish either- clean up be so harsh looking. Tfs!

Tbh you did do the glue wrong you have to brush the glue on your nails and on the fake nail and you have to add a pearl of glue so that it goes all the way around your nail this kit is an awesome kit I've used it so many times and it hasn't done anything you said but I still appreciate you trying
To be honest I have a lot of experience with full coverage tips. These nails didn’t work for my nails. It doesn’t mean they won’t work for your nails. I believe I stated that in the video.
Your review was fine. It told me/us everything we needed to know and what to expect. As far as a finished design….it’s nice but not always necessary. Tfs

I bought the kiara sky kit and I cannot get the nails to stay on to save my life. I'm rough on my hands, and I would only get 2 days wear no matter how I did them.
These ones seem a little sturdier. First time without etching I got 4 days wear. Second time I'm hoping for at least a week.
I wonder if is the gel. Maybe try a rubber base coat?
Pretty sure young nails had the apres ones tested and they are in fact plastic
Don't need a "nail look" you were reviewing the tips. I think my thumb is more curved and I wouldn't get that suction that you are talking about. The nails look cute with the white and white is so hard and can look a mess with the smallest imperfection. Very Bachelor or Bachelorette looking😁
