  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) has become quite common in today's world. Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a disorder that interferes with the normal functions of the large intestine (colon). IBS is the result of communication disruption between the brain and digestive system. This makes the digestive system hypersensitive since it does not have a definite cause.
    It is a characterized by a group of symptoms-crampy abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, and diarrhoea. There are mainly two types one which is like diarrhoea (IBS - D) and the other one is acute constipation (IBS - C) One might have urge to visit loo somewhere between 3-12 times in a day with IBS - D and IBS - C is completely opposite of the previous one where is one might feel like things are stuck but cannot pass the stool out for 3 to 7 days!
    For people with IBS, the nerves of the digestive system become oversensitive. The digestive tract overreacts to food, stress, and other demands on your body and mind. Along with these digestive symptoms, people with IBS tend to suffer from high levels of anxiety. Stress is one of the most common triggers of IBS symptoms. Yoga can help you shut down stress by calming the nervous system-and, in the process, calm your irritated digestive system.
    To gain freedom from IBS, you need to reduce stress, discover your symptom triggers, and restore normal function of the digestive tract and practice Yoga.
