Havik can fix his face if he wants to I'm pretty sure. In one of his intros, Shang says he can help fix his face, and Havik replies with, "If I want to, I'll fix it myself!" Implying that he can fix it whenever he wants, just how he regrows other parts of his body. I'm pretty sure the reason he does it, is because it helps with his whole "fear" motif. He's all about the body horror, and having half his face melted off, is pretty damn horrifying to look at for most people.
Evan Hashimoto has so much knowledge about the game. That is a lab monster for sure and watches a lot of footage. Happy to hear someone like him on commentary that helps explain the nuances of the game.

People really let Punk get away with so much unsafe strings with Ashrah. Especially the meter burn rising slash, you can interrupt it and get air combos off of it or wait for them to fall down with a jump kick or punch and just hold up block for the punish as well. Still early for players to know it but damn people need to start seeing through that. Nice tourney though 👍

At 43:44 it’s actually a glitch with Baraka against mileena where that last hit in the 1, 2 combo string doesn’t connect. It hasn’t been patched yet. Only Baraka can make that hit whiff.
It happens rather quick, so it's easy to miss, but It's because Baraka whiffed an "up block" attempt. So when you whiff an "up block" and your opponent grabs you, you get hit with extra damage.
I really hope in the future NRS makes MOST kameo assist ambush assist.. Would open up for more set ups. More combo possibilities Even more defensive options Waiting for your point character to finish posing makes some assist hard to use. Game is super fun tho.

What some people dont realize about havik is 1 touch leads to like 52% if you have subzero. because after the first conversion you have your unblockable move, which leads to more free damage and it all only cost 2 bars.

Basically the first game I ever fell in love with was Mortal Kombat one on Sega genesis lol tells you how old I am. I was always the best out of all my friends and never met a person who can beat me, but after watching these tournaments, with these players, I am a novice compared to them, especially the one dude, rocking Reptile and BigdaddyG rocking Smoke. When you have your Kameo character out, the game doesn't allow you to use fatal blow, it's consistent. Happens to everyone in a stressful situation but you forget about it not letting you be able to do that since you are more focused in ending the round. That's why when you have your kameo out too you are unable to do a forward grab, you shove them instead because forward grabs requires your kameo to be offscreen. Notice that most fatal blows the kameo isn't onscreen to help you understand properly. Hope this helps
@1ButtonDash notice at duration 2:01:32 the kameo is NOT present but when he use it against ashrah 2:01:44 it works because the kameo was not there but only when you use it it will work and the kameo will appear again, so don't use it while the kameo was still present only when it disappear and if your opponent health bar was on critical mode use it consistently, i assume you understand because i think you have played mk11 so.. it would not that hard for a gamer to understand specially if you want to try the game.

There are very few cosmetics in this game compared to MK11, so I'd say give it a go if thats your only hesitation. Fun game

was playing this yesterday and i honestly wasnt feeling the game.. all the characters were kinda boring me... i had one more 2 try before giving up on the game.. so i tried nitara now ill never stop playing this game.. now all the tournaments looks fun lol

Does Ed Boone and NRS make money off this, this is so awesome they hold tournaments like this God I wish this stuff was around when I was a kid. Basically the first game I ever fell in love with was Mortal Kombat one on Sega genesis lol tells you how old I am. I was always the best out of all my friends and never met a person who can beat me, but after watching these tournaments, with these players, I am a novice compared to them, especially the one dude, rocking Reptile and BigdaddyG rocking Smoke. Those dudes are insanely good. They should take like the 50 best players in the world and let them have some input and design on the next Mortal Kombat game, that would be killer

18:30 fatal blow didn't come out? can someone explain this to me. I havn't bought the game yet but in MK11 wasn't FB just hitting 2 buttons and it comes out instantly? did they change it for MK1?
When you have your Kameo character out, the game doesn't allow you to use fatal blow, it's consistent. Happens to everyone in a stressful situation but you forget about it not letting you be able to do that since you are more focused in ending the round. That's why when you have your kameo out too you are unable to do a forward grab, you shove them instead because forward grabs requires your kameo to be offscreen. Notice that most fatal blows the kameo isn't onscreen to help you understand properly. Hope this helps
when the kameo character is out you can't fatal blow.
your kameo cannot be on screen if you're trying to use your fatal blow, they have to be off the screen
@1ButtonDash notice at duration 2:01:32 the kameo is NOT present but when he use it against ashrah 2:01:44 it works
because the kameo was not there but only when you use it it will work and the kameo will appear again, so don't use it while the kameo was still present only when it disappear and if your opponent health bar was on critical mode use it consistently, i assume you understand because i think you have played mk11 so.. it would not that hard for a gamer to understand specially if you want to try the game.
