Teen Called 911 to Beg for Help Before His Death in Van: 'I'm Going to Die Here'

- "I probably don't have much time left, so tell my mom that I love her if I die." That was the heartbreaking plea from a teen who was trapped and dying in his minivan. Kyle Plush used Siri to call 9-1-1 not once, but twice, pleading for dispatchers to send help after he became trapped in the trunk well. Police were unable to find him and thought the call might be a prank. The 16-year-old died of suffocation. InsideEdition.com's Tara Lynn Wagner ( / taralynnwagner ) has the story. #InsideEdition

Awww my gawd, this is so sad, "tell mom I love her, if I die" , such a sweet boy, I hope he gets the best help in heaven! 👼🏻😇

There is no evidence that a heaven exist.
Fables that's his religion. He will believe in what he wants same goes for you.
john, believe in whatever you want, but when you start telling people your beliefs, I have the right to criticize those beliefs.
+Fables It's not like I told you can't speak out. It's not like you're going to convert him LOL. So why bother? What's your agenda?
This is horrible. Imagine you don't see your kid for 6+ hours, go and look for him, and find him dead. Condolences to the family.
And you also see that he called 911 for help 🤦🏾♂️
Yea probably the most messed up 911 call ever . Why didn’t they just track the location and help this poor boy .
@Unknown when he should have called his dad who knew exactly where the van was
@@skip1860 yea that really is pretty true . But I’m sure 911 should have been able to get the location. But from another comment I saw apparently their system was down that day so they couldn’t pinpoint where he was . So sad . But either way from now on I’m tracking my kids phones here on out cuz you never know . This was a horrid accident . A lot to be learned from it
@K Stizz if that's your actual picture then wow !!
How do you get stuck in the trunk of a minivan and get crushed to death?
I honestly can't picture what is going on in this scenario at all.
It’s because the back seats fold into a compartment and lock.
The description said he died of suffocation, not crushing?
@@jsas2047 lol wooooow suffocation is from being crushed..

@@Kaitlin24247 here’s the definition ‘the state or process of dying from being deprived of air or unable to breathe’ so not just being crushed could’ve just been lack of oxygen
This is exactly why if they catch anyone doing prank calls, those people should be put in jail for a long time.
Imagine how the mom felt when she heard her son saying " tell my mom I love her if I die " No only that young boy died but also his mom because how can she live? She lost her life when her son died
@Vanessa Paulino my heart's breaking 😭

What infuriates me alot is the fact that Kyle was telling the operator where he is, what the details of the minivan was like and SOMEHOW the cops never found him regardless of him using his number plate.

The young man was so calm and articulate. Fearless.
He sounded so calm on the phone. Poor strong willed boy. Can’t believe the dispatcher failed him.
All of these sad comments and i’m over here wondering how he got crushed in a minivan reaching for tennis equipment.
You and me both.
Yup ! It’s so not clear, reaching for tennis equipment??
Thank you! I’m SO confused.
Yeah I dont get what happened.
If I remember correctly, he was leaning down over the back seat, and the whole seat came off the tracks and pinned him, upside down and crushed him. If you can picture him with his bottom up, head down, and the seat crushing his stomach/chest.
These dispatchers causing way too many deaths. They should be held accountable for their actions.
Agreeable !!
Rest in peace young man. I know you're moma is proud of you. You where thinking of someone else instead of your life. What an awesome young man to send his last message to his moma. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
God was no help ~
The dispatchers don’t take anything seriously anymore
Hey 1 he’s was trapped in his car and he was calling the police for help. But the person he was talking to thought it was a joke so they didn’t take him seriously. The kid died because of human arrogance
@@dudemanbroguy3464 You can focus on an individual instance and attempt to rationalize the intentions and reasoning behind the dispatcher though as someone who has had to call for several serious reasons I can tell you first-hand by experience that they don't take you seriously and neither do they take their jobs seriously.
Actually the first dispatcher did take it seriously and managed to find the location of the car but just didn't know exactly which one since it was in a parking lot. A police officer showed up but didn't bother looking around for Kyle. It was the second dispatcher that got more specific information from Kyle but didn't take it seriously. Kyle's phone disconnected the call the first time round before he could give specific details to the dispatcher like the colour and model of the minivan.
A woman in France called the equivalent of 911 for help. She explained she needed an ambulance because she was in excruciating pain and she felt that was going to die. The responder laughed at her and hanged up. Never sent the ambulance. Then after some minutes of agony the lady called again and was barely breathing and able to talk. He ambulance got here too late, she died.
@@dudemanbroguy3464 i just wonder why not call his parents or friends or anyone?? 🤔
He was incredibly brave and very calm, I would of been screaming down the phone for help.
Richard Bryant his calmness is what probably caused the dispatchers to think it was a prank which is sad 😞
animeluver22113 yes I agree, so so sad
He probably sounded the same ordering at a Mc Drive I don't think that is very helpful if you need help
Richard Bryant he was suffercating he couldn't be panicking
Richard Bryant Right he didn’t even sound like was having trouble breathing
I think they thought that it was a prank because this brave boy was really calm and even send out some last words to his mom. Most people especially young people would go crazy and don't even think that far of dieing... This tough guy breaks my heart 😞

This is so sad. The boy was so calm and even then made sure that someone heard him say he loved his mom before he could never be heard saying it again. Wtf universe seriously wtf.
It wasn't that he was calm, he was running out of oxygen so shouting or screaming would make him run out of air faster.
