Yup! Although I do have a Nauticam CMC-1 macro converter that I use for some of the shots, like the hydroids. It's a great little piece of glass, but the focal distance is fairly short so you need to be able to get pretty close to use it.
I'm not sure I can give you a super precise answer, but it's on the order of a few inches. The CMC-1 is definitely a super macro lens; great for getting those crazy sharp details to fill the frame, but not useful for all shots. I love using it, because it really allows me to capture detail that's beyond what we would see with just the naked eye.
Truly incredible!
Maine’s such an adventure!
Great narration about the critters and sealife
Thanks! I think Maine's marine life is underappreciated, so I like having the chance to teach people about it.
Amazing as always!!!
Thanks!
