Lol I worked a guitar center like 6 years ago and this popped and I have a bad habit of Shazamming songs when they are catchy and today Spotify through this in the loop ….. dam happy Father’s Day to me lol
A couple of weeks passed since i started to listen this band. my main reason was the guitar sound which is very similar to Marrs. And i was sure they were inspired by Marr. When i saw him by himself in this video, just think how i felt. Oh my god. Chills. Love you MARR..
A strange union the other day It's a dead Russian, the papers say But it would be nice if they realised That she thought 'he is mine' This town has got you down and I know I was helping you out While your hope died under northern skies and it shows I was helping you to realise The reason why, it was no surprise No way The act will pass by no-one And I'm sad to say it's no different today Be comforted by we share the same skies And for once pay no mind I have decided it's best that you know I'm still thinking about Old lies as north-west skies grow cold No point in denying Anxiety was my favourite feeling after jealousy Yeah, I'll concede That I could not Be as nervous as I was I could not No way This town has got you down and I know I was helping you out While your hope died under northern skies And it shows I was helping you to realise The reason why, it was no surprise No way
@@akwilson1676 each to their own, the sound of men's needs was better than anything produced with Marr. I just hate that tinny sound from Marr. Can you name anything Marr has done that rocks. I have friends who say he's a genius but I can't see it. Different taste in music I suppose
So there I was, jamming on a few Rocksmith songs, nothing unusual there, until I come across a song I hadn't tried yet. "The Cribs? Sounds like a meh band to me, but I'll give it a go." The following 3 minutes I was astounded by the sounds I was hearing, of all the music I've heard over the years, I've never heard this string of notes, and playing them felt even better. TL:DR I was wrong about the band.
That guitar riff had stuck with me forever, so I decided to search the internet to find who was the artist. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was the Cribs, since I absolutely adore The Smiths, and Marr especially. I nearly cried. Marr is God.
I feel unbelievably struck by this tune, it seems magical, endless and exciting! Rating a band like this is a privilege, you should feel honoured of admitting you're in love with this outstanding music unlike most people apparently going crazy for the worthless artists that the charts drop all the time! I think that the message these guys supposed to give out is clear but abstract and tender. Did you get the subtle message they needed to grant us all?
omg the ending song for the anime "Say I Love You" has a similar chord progression as this song. Kinda funny how this came out 2009 and the anime came out 2 years later. I love The Cribs even more 💕🤘🏼
these guys deserve to be bigger, they're arguably the best British rock band right now. I can't think of any better at the moment, but I haven't really been keeping up with music recently.
This is pure class .. I am humble but for someone like me who is a lot into music and appreciates what´s good and what´s not .. This is Marr just listen to this melody its obvious it´s his work cause he´s unique .. Try to compare this classy sound with the vulgar noise that many " wannabe indie " bands have .. There is no possible comparison Marr´s a genious ...
Cant believe they were lucky enough to release an album with an absolute legend playing with them. England's scene is a lot more connected than our's to the west.
i remember when i was 11 years old i dicovered the cribs completely on accident, i picked up one of their albums cuz from a distacne i thought it was a ramones album, now 5 years later theyre my favorite band of all time
This is my favorite song to play on Rocksmith, I can almost get 100% of the song down. Really complex song. For those who dont know, Rocksmith is a guitar hero-ish game that is played with a real guitar and teaches u the real song. Friggin awesome. And this song is on it.
Awkward when I've seen Johnny live, have a shrine dedicated to The Smiths in my room, own every single Smiths album, my whole bedroom wall is covered in Smiths pictures and I basically adore them. You could say I've gone and listened to The Smiths then...
@cafecozumel7 Gary Jarman (bass player). Standing next to him is his twin Ryan. Brother Ross is on the drums. All are from Wakefield, England. The legendary Johnny Marr is the other guitarist.
Played this song on Rocksmith Played it well Was like this is pretty cool Looked up this song Suddenly JOHNNY FOOKIN MARR was playin his part on guitar
Years have passed and that Marr riff still the bees knees
All of them are
But so am i
Lol I worked a guitar center like 6 years ago and this popped and I have a bad habit of Shazamming songs when they are catchy and today Spotify through this in the loop ….. dam happy Father’s Day to me lol
What a hidden gem, these guys deserve recognition
Johnny Marr in my mind the best guitarist ever! His melodies just float off his guitar into your ears 👌
Everything Johnny Marr touches turns to gold....class tune !!!
So underrated...
so true... amazing band
💯%
Not by me
Totally...The Cribs played on the festival Live Out 2017 on my city and the people were like zzzz. I was like seriously??
Criminal aint it
This song is absolutely fantastic

Marr is pretty great!
this song is awesome, melodically so rich , johnny marr´s work is obvious.... great song very classy..........
Thank you RockSmith for showing me so many cool bands I never heard about I FUCKING LOVE YOU

:3 fucking rocksmith!!
A strange union the other day
It's a dead Russian, the papers say
But it would be nice if they realised
That she thought 'he is mine'
This town has got you down and I know
I was helping you out
While your hope died under northern skies and it shows
I was helping you to realise
The reason why, it was no surprise
No way
The act will pass by no-one
And I'm sad to say it's no different today
Be comforted by we share the same skies
And for once pay no mind
I have decided it's best that you know
I'm still thinking about
Old lies as north-west skies grow cold
No point in denying
Anxiety was my favourite feeling after jealousy
Yeah, I'll concede
That I could not
Be as nervous as I was
I could not
No way
This town has got you down and I know
I was helping you out
While your hope died under northern skies
And it shows
I was helping you to realise
The reason why, it was no surprise
No way
JOHNNY, JOHNNY, JOHNNY FUCKIN MARR
Imagine how this band must've felt when they got Johnny Marr to join them for this album, I'd be fucking ecstatic.
Listen to this album and listen to men's needs. The last one was rocking this one is toothless, thank Mr Marr. He's crap like the Smiths
@@dune6727 are you stupid? fan of the smiths or not, marr is a genius.
@@dune6727 What a plum.
@@dune6727 Piss off. Marr is on another level compared to Men's need.

What a great tune!
The cribs are my favourite band, probably ever, seen them live many times . This is a cracking tune , like so many they have done.
To me, this is the best Cribs song ever.

I'm happy that I discovered this masterpiece.
Best song ever on Match of the day. They need to bring it back
regular band with the greatest guitar man of all times!
I found my jam on Rocksmith man!!! I love this band! I didn't know they had this song in the song list at first! I'm pretty happy xD
Johnny Marr. Truly a legend.
Johnny Marr, is always so interesting and inspiring. My #1 ❤️
Si ves esto algún día, Andrea, te amo y nunca dejo de pensar en ti
Love the Cribs and love Johnny Marr! The fact they've produced this magic was no surprise to me!

I’m a Smiths/Johnny fan from the 80s. How is it that this is the first time I’ve seen this amazing band?

Ryan Jarman, the only man in the known world who could possibly pull off that haircut.
he cuts it himself
I love 2000’s indie
Trust Marr to come up with such a classic riff.
They are a great bunch of lads, met them the other day at the bar a work at in Leeds called "ESCOBAR"
