Slightly older Canadian here that's been watching for about 6 months now. This presentation, or 'schtick', whatever you want to call it is absolute tripe. I'm your countryman and a BC guy too. I'm embarrassed for you two at this point. Not to be a hater, but this ain't it guys. All the access you have and you want to pull this shit when you get home? Was excited when you came back. More excited for you to leave again, to be honest. Best wishes.
Please come to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, you guys! My 3 and 5 year old daughters absolutely adore watching your channel, and have learned so much about the world vicariously just watching you eat! Like, they literally play “Luke and Sabrina” like they play Frozen! They’re your biggest fans. And I even have a couple food suggestions here: Maple Leaf Bakery for donuts (they’re amazing and a local legend), and Snow Hut for soft serve, specifically their cherry sundae. It’s the best soft serve we’ve ever had and we try it everywhere! Jog up to Regina for sushi at Michi for supper... I dunno... perfect day in Southern Sask? Maybe! Hey, we can dream, here in fly over country... haha Love you guys! Stay safe! Thanks for giving us some outside world to look forward to during this wretched pandemic.
Myself and my kids enjoyed your Moroccan series. My kids are American-Moroccan but have yet had a chance to visit Morocco in person, your series in Morocco was so much fun to watch, and informative at the same time. From a parenting sense I am grateful. From an informative sense, thank you... Keep it up!
We visited Vancouver two years ago and loved it, it reminds me of San Francisco in a lot of ways. All the food looked so delicious on Granville Island, can't wait to visit it again. Thanks for another great video Luke and Sabrina.
I loved watching this video because Vancouver and the Granville Market are just down the highway from us. Its nice to recognize places we've been to on a travel/food channel
Greetings from Michigan! I will be so glad when the borders reopen and we can travel to 🇨🇦 once again. I miss it however, I can travel vicariously through your adventures. Thanks for sharing Vancouver with us.
Focaccia /fo/KA/cha. Italian mix of pizza and bread; comes with different toppings baked into the top and is made with a ton of olive oil. You guys should visit Italy.☺️
you guys should do a craft beer episode in Vancouver. There are so many unique and amazing breweries and there are several districts where you can hit a bunch on a walk.
My wife and I attended Granville Island by boat a few weeks ago. The line up was out the door for the donuts......hahahaha......we love the atmosphere and the food!!! It's a great day trip by boat from Lions Bay, with some good meat to BBQ from Tenderland at the end.....you can't beat that!!
So great that you're over on this end-we live a few minutes from Granville island and loved this episode. You HAVE to check out Steveston pizza in... Steveston. They have a crazy tower of seafood one you may love!!
If you're still in the area try out: 1. Elysian Coffee - best coffee in Vancouver 2. Cazba - Logmeh Kebab 3. Praguery - Richmond outlet mall 4. Soft Peaks - Gastown 5. La Bella Patate - Davie street, Vancouver There's a few others I can't think of at the moment 5.
It's been a number of years since I visited Vancouver. Granville Island was a definite highlight. The foods and the vendors were remarkable. I laughed when I saw the "Do not feed the birds" sign. I saw a lady lose her meal to an aggressive seagull there.
My aunt has lived in Kits for 40 years (1981-2021) and has gone to Granville Island every week for Lee's Donuts ever since. She does most of her grocery shopping there actually, I've gone with her a few times and had the clam chowder, which is my all time favourite clam chowder, I also love the maple glazed salmon. I miss Vancouver, Winnipeg doesn't do seafood as well as Vancity.
Luke and Sabrina, years ago where I grew up, there was this doughnut place that had doughnuts filled with Nutella and caramel syrup. Bro, that shit was magnificent!!
You guys are making us hungry over here! That maple candied salmon looked ahhh-mazing - I can't believe I've never tried that before. Really looking forward to your Canada food adventures.😋🍩🍣
Can you both couples do a collaboration video? You both are my favourite vloggers on YT. 😄😄😄😄 please? Articulate. Keeping it real. Not pretentious. Not pretend experts. 😃😃😃😃
You two are awesome. Definitely gained a new subscriber today. Not only did this make us want to go to Granville island, it has given us some ideas of where to go when we visit. And now I want doughnuts. Holy moly.
Ooohhhh that Maple Smoked Salmon is calling my name! Thanks L&S for a vlogging series on Canada. I’ve yet to visit Vancouver - lots of ideas for when the border reopens. P.S. Sabrina, your hair looks great!!
DAMN I lived here in Vancouver FOREVER and I have never come to Granville Island for a very VERY long time. I should stimulate the economy but I am on a budget. Great video! Like the food. Should have filmed this on a clear day. Cheers!
Hi, Luke Martin! I'm a newbie on your channel. I'm from the Philippines and I learned a lot of things in your country. I also learned a lot of skills in how to take good videos lol...I'm a new blogger and I love documentary.
I miss my shopping for veggies and clam chowder at Granville Island. I lived in the West End for awhile and that was one of my favorite places to go to as well as Stanley Park. God bless Vancouver and its wonderful people. God bless Canada🥰🥰🥰
There is a schnitzel place just a few booths down that isle that is wonderful . We stop at Longliners, the schitzel place and Lees Donuts each time we go there.
Glad to see 1st video of Canadian foods, but at same time i am sad a bit, because Greek series were amazing.Hopefully you can travel soon and come back to Greece,Taiwan.I believe that Greece even better than Italy, because those could be compared, since they are Southern countries. Now you can only travel to Cyprus,Latvia,Finland,Liechtenstein, but lets hope situation would improve.Maple syrup have made Canada famous in the world.Amazing type of salmon,i have lived in Norway for last 7 years, but i never seen in Norway:Salmon with maple syrup.
Thanks for joining us on the new series! Yes we also had an amazing time in Greece and want to return to see more than Athens. The situation will improve but it will take time. I wonder do they have maple Norwegian salmon?
@@LukeMartinYes indeed thanks for reply,i can only find maple glazed Norwegian salmon.Canada and Norway are salmon sought countries, however Atlantic salmon is the most common variety of salmon.Pink variety is more in Russia and the USA,Chum salmon is more endangered.Coho salmon is common in Denmark,Norway. However, sockeye salmon is interesting since their diet are about zooplanktons.Chinook salmon has milder taste, while King salmon are appeal more for omega 3 and its wide taste than Chinook salmon.I have ever worked in hotel with salmon, one time there was one box like 20 kg worth of 20000 Norwegian krones,so luckily i could hold it tightly, since i needed to transfer it to much colder room.Salmon sandwiches with lemon and pinch of salt are amazing treat. Norway’s ocean-farmed Atlantic salmon comes from the same origins as wild. In the 1970s, salmon was collected from 40 Norwegian rivers to breed in ocean farms. Norwegian farmed salmon has the same genetics as the wild salmon, but its feed allows it to grow faster, mature later and resist disease better. Not sure of sockeye salmon,it would be interesting to try.One thing for sure i have ever bought maple syrup from Canada it is such treat, but i used for pancakes down there.I am finding recipes for how to make maple glazed Norwegian salmon, but i think it is just people creation down there than the real one same like you tried in Granville island.
Been following you guys for a long time now, I’m so happy you’re back in your homeland. I’ve been to Granville island a while back, it is still beautiful, 😍Gilbert, Arizona
So excited that you are over here in Vancouver! Not sure where you are planning to go but there is a restaurant on Vancouver Island called the Genoa Bay Cafe. Probably one of the best kept secrets gems of Vancouver Island and it shouldn’t be. Also has a great story of the owner and how it came to be.
We've been following you for a while and happy to see that you're now exploring our backyard. It's true that Lee's Donuts are among the best, but if you want to try the best then go to Honey Donut in Deep Cove (North Vancouver). It's a bit of a trip to get there but worthwhile, plus Deep Cove itself is a cute little touristy spot. Amongst people who live in Vancouver, it is Oyama Meat Market that is probably the most famous stall at Granville Island. :) Check that out on your next tour. Nice vid.
Hello Luke hello Sabrina i am glad u arrived back home in Canada safe and sound. Wow! Canada is beautiful. Thank u so much for sharing with us the delicious food in your country Canada
Hello, Luke ~ I am a big fan of you from Taiwan. And I'm studying in Vancouver of Canada. I'm so thankful for the foods that you've introduced in your videos. Γειά σας Παιδιά! Great video as always! Never been to Vancouver. Love to go one day. The soup and donuts look so delicious. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more videos of Canada. Take care from your fellow Greek Canadian Panayiotis 🇨🇦🇬🇷
Will there be a pt2? In last few videos there are so few restaurants and cafes you are going to, just markets and street stalls... Would like to see some of that in Vancouver! Love the channel, stay safe ❤️🤍❤️
In Canada a lot of places are not allowing you to sit inside cafes and such right now you can go in and order what you want but you have to leave right after due to covid
Wow! I have been in BC for 15 years now and have not really explored Granville Island. Will definitely try those soup from the market and donuts from Lee's soon....Thanks for making this video Luke and Sabrina. Maybe a vlog on the best ramen shop around would be nice:)
Luke and Sabrina, thanks for sharing some of the food highlights on your home turf 👍! Vancouver is one of my favorite cities in North America, because of the breathtaking natural backdrop and the diversity of cuisines available for food lovers. The market on Granville Island is definitely one of my favorite places to visit. Another one is Lonsdale Quay Market in North Vancouver. 4:04 I, too, prefer cold-smoked to hot-smoked fish because its meat is much more moist and tender. I wonder why food purveyors don't sell cold-smoked Dungeness crabs, king crabs, and geoducks 😊. I would very much like to see the following cuisines in Vancouver: Chinese (different regional cuisines, including dim sum; not fast food); Indian; Japanese; Italian (not pizzas); French; English (pub style); etc. Santé et bon appétit 🥂!
Thank you for the great suggestion! Cold smoked is the way to go! We have a few more videos coming from Vancouver, and we will be highlighting some.= of your requests. Hope you will enjoy!
