Ok so this video is getting a lot more attention then I thought it would - so I’ll explain the situation if you are new and/or confused: At the start they didn't except him because he came into the competition half way through, when some trainees had already been eliminated. They saw this as unfair. It was harder on Jooheon and the other rapper #GUN because he was another rapper (their competition). They basically thought that he was free loading on the work that they had already done.
I believe it was also part of the show (but what trainee show doesn't have drama?). I don't think they HATED him that much; but it also makes sense. Where did he come from? I still don't know if he was secretly training or what... and then all of a sudden he pops up.
This is like when someone brings home a new puppy and dad doesn’t like it but then a few days later they find dad’s just cuddling the new puppy and spoiling it more than he does for the family lmao
When our dog died my dad really loved but he didnt show it that much we bought his twin cuz she looks like him and to make us feel better cuz she is my sunshine now even tho when someone say his name(my old dog) I start to tear up so my dad loves our new dog but he doesnt like to touch her or pet her but he does sometimes feed her without us noticing
Actually, I mean, I know they were real mad but that was literally immature of them, Wonho and Shownu were the only ones that didn't say anything that could be considered rude, but the other members were sooo rude 😅, but I'm really glad they all love I.M now
Always think about how a lot of these things are staged, sometimes even scripted I am pretty sure a lot of production blaming was done but they obviously won't be showing that footage and as someone else pointed out No.Mercy was so... dramatically shot a lot of things were blown out of proportions

Reminds of me and my best friend. We hate each others guts but when we wrote NGSA we got the same school and I was the only person she new and visa versa and that forced us together and now we are the best of friends. I love that bitch.
I love the fact that Jooheon and him had to work together in no mercy, and before they got down to business Jooheon was all 'we need to talk and clear the air' basically. It shows how mature Jooheon himself was at the time and still is. And that was the turning point for IM in the show and becoming close to MX
Not to involve other groups into a monsta x video, but that’s sort of how most kpop relationship friendships started. Kai hated D.O when he was first introduced, I know that BTS didn’t really warm up to Jimin because he was the last one brought in, etc. I get it. You train and get used to your own little group and suddenly a new person comes in and it’s new and annoying
In fact they didn't hate I.M . They hated the situation, the way things turned out to be and he was in the middle. This was a very good lesson for everyone to understand that some people are put in some difficult situations but it's not their fault.

Look at them now. They’re closer than ever. Even though I am so sad for I.M. from the start, I am so proud of his resiliency throughout those hard times. Sadder is, Wonho is not in the group anymore. I hope they’ll bring him back soon.
@@aleece1267 Those post production interviews are all scripted. If you watch the videos that were posted behind the scenes, you can see that none of them were actually cold to him. Just like the part where Jooheon and Changkyun were in the studio, just sitting there, it was obviously staged and guided, so that the show could have some sort of drama.
for an I.M stan, his no. mercy days videos are the least videos I would like to watch. It's hard for me to watch him suffering and looking rlly exhausted. He's my ult baby in kpop, the most precious and my treasure baby. Ok so Wonho was my bias but I love Monsta x sm. They're like in my top 5 favorite kpop groups, I started to stan them like 2 years ago and when I decided to watch no mercy, I didn't watch anything that had to do with them for like a month after because even though I know they love each other now it was so hard to watch and I cried so much watching it. I didn't hate them or anything it just made me feel so bad for I.M. and even though it was understandable why they treated him like that and how they didn't pretend and told him straight up, I still felt just like empathetic and it hurt me seeing them hurt. I'm so glad that now they're one big family!

I.M's position in the group when he first joined the show reminds me of Chanwoo in iKON. BOBBY was the only member that welcomed the new people, everyone else was really angry which makes sense. Now both groups love their maknae to bits!

He always looked like he wanted to cry. Really seeing Shownu and Kihyun's relationship on No Mercy vs. after is interesting too.
While changkyun didn’t deserve the cold atmosphere he was greeted and continuously given if I were in the members position I would be very upset as welll.
True I've watched monsta x since no mercy, I really like Gunhee, he's like jooheon's bestfriend and i used to hate changkyun because he entered all of a sudden, I also feel like he's freeloading. But i learned to love changkyun the more I get to know him, he's such a charmer and a really weird but in a funny way guy. He's now my 2nd bias next to jooheon❤️

sorry but Yoonho, can we talk about him? He was the only one that bowed when I.M came into the room. He was the only one who comforted I.M back at the dorm, whilst they sat on the sofa & he explained why it's hard for all the other trainees to accept him. He cleared the air and made I.M feel better. He said 'we should work together because we're the youngest.' I love Yoonho. He has a heart of gold. Be like Yoonho. I'm so glad he is part of the talented group VAV now!
To be honest.... No Mercy is one of the hardest for me to rewatch... I avoided it as much as possible because it just hurts. But no matter what I do to avoid it, it’s already in the past. The members have great a friendship and they have moved forward and over the barrier they had during the show. Seeing how they all became close also made me accept the past and move over it. I’m really thankful of the bond they have now and I know that the boys care for each other. I know they will stay together as 7...
I hope people realize that No Mercy was most likely edited to make the other contestants' reactions to Changkyun as harsh as possible. We only got to see a portion of their words and their feelings -- the parts that would cause the most drama and evoke the most emotion and earn the most views.
As someone who hasn’t watched No Mercy I knew that IM had a very difficult time, but not like this. To think that Jooheon actually used the word “hating” and saying that it’s basically all he could do made me think that they’ve all come a long way
Despite that, honey was actually the first to start accepting him in no mercy. And when they were selected to debut, he was the only one who actually hugged im. (I could be wrong but that's what I remember anyways )
Anshita Mehra I haven’t watched no mercy so I didn’t know that. Makes sense though considering Honey is considerably the closest with Changkyun. If that’s true then the fact that Honey was the only one who hugged him is still kind of sad, and it still shows how far the others have come with him
Jooheon lost his bestfriend after changkyun came. They promised they'll debut together but Gunhee was eliminated. They really had a tough time, they eat together, practice together, dream to debut together since their trainee days. They thought all of them will debut as 1 group but all of a sudden they were put in this show making them suffer and lost their friends. No mercy is really cruel, I don't even want to watch it again. 💔

everytime i look back on changkyun in no mercy, it makes me think that he is an EXTREMELY kind, forgiving, and strong person like really. i mean i understand why the others disliked him, but if i were him, i don't think i can even be friends with them after all the struggle and hatred. I'm glad he's way better now
Poor IM when they first introduced him as the new trainee - he looked so apprehensive, nervous, scared and tired! I'm so glad he worked himself into Monsta X's hearts and has now become a vital beloved fellow member. It was so sad seeing him so down even when he won the No Mercy contest. That should have been one of his happiest moments but he was feeling so guilty for winning.

I really can't stand survivals for this reason: they create too much tension between the members and put them one against another, it gives me a lot of anxiety because-even though they'll eventually grow close-it's tiring to see them so pressed because they're not thinking of each other as future band mates, but as rivals.
I know I’m late but when watching shows like that you just have to remember that it is reality tv so sometimes drama and emotions are made to look more extreme for the cameras, but I agree survivals are my least favorite way for groups to form
In this case I think the production team should be blamed or questioned because they brought him in the middle of the show it wasn't HIS fault but I can feel the other members pain too.... Really so much drama tbh

Before and after videos are the hardest to watch in my opinion. These idols put themselves through hell and to watch the struggles to get where they are now is amazing. This is so hard to watch. I remember crying so much the moment he walked in cause I knew what was going to happen. I could feel what I.M. went through cause I've experienced similar things. I'm really happy they're all a lot closer now❤
He is my bias in MonstaX.... I heard him rap and I was whipped... I love his voice and how soft/sensitive he is in reality. I actually can't believe that the beautiful relationship he has with his Hyungs wasn't there at all to begin with but that just shows his tenacity and perseverance. Absolute gold
I just finished watching No Mercy and this video really helped me to calm down a bit. As I.M my bias I just can't help but think about how hard it was for him. And the fact that till this day ppl saying it's unfair. When it's absolutely not. The other two rappers beat the 1st one and he beat those other two. So whether he was from beginning or not he earned the place by talent. I hope people realise that. He deserves all the love in the world.
I appreciate the people who understood from the get go that it was just shitty timing and a bad situation. I'm super glad that they all eventually got along and they become so close to/protective of him in the long term. On a related note: F*CK THEY'RE CUTE!
When I watched NO MERCY for the first time I was so sad because of I.M and now? After all that happened with Wonho... Him going solo and stuff... I can't imagine myself watching it ever again... I am so sad but also very excited for Woho's music .... I just love their friendship with Wonho and each other ..
Changkyun went through so much and all of this pressure must have been painful for him, I'm just happy they opened up and began to love him for the amazing person he truly is ❤💞
I've always thought that the hyungs now shower I.M. with so much affection because they always felt bad about how they first treated him in 'No Mercy' - especially after they saw how hard I.M. works and cares for them (in between being so savage haha).
He handled it incredibly well. It’s easy to forget he was still a teenager when all of this went down and despite none of it being his fault he was empathetic about how the others were feeling and wasn’t bitter about the way they were acting even though he really did have the right to be. He was patient and he let them see the real him slowly and they accepted him eventually. I have so much respect for how gracefully he dealt with the terrible situation he was put in by the producers when he was only 18
They had gone through so much. Together and individually. Once a hard time give them a little hate feeling. Now, they are together. I can understand there feelings that time. And I can also understand there feelings now. Why they have to go through so much. It was finally time for them to be together happily. All hardships they had was going to pay off... Stay strong monstax. It still not time for you all to have good ending. But they will have happy ending soon.
The boys have been through alot. They were a group before MONSTAX, called NU BOYZ. They promoted with GUN, who was eliminated when I.M came in. I was a fan of them, when they were NU BOYZ, so I understand their anger. Not towards I.M, but towards Starship. GUN had already debut, when they put the group into No Mercy, so he was torn from the group, Hoonie's friend, since childhood, promised to debut together, to me Starship, gutted that friendship, just to make money. Dont blame the boys, you have to see it from their point of view, they were really hurt. Putting I.M in that situation was wrong of the company, how much hardship, they had to go through, to reach their brotherhood they now have, was alot.

I just took the courage to watch the 10 episodes yesterday. And I understood why they acted that way but I was fuming mad at the producers of the show, why do they have to put I.M in that situation where everyone named him as the boy who came mid-through. It was surely a tough journey and battle for him and I just cant hide my tears and the pain it brought me huhuhu. I.M had just his head down throughout the announcing of the chosen members. It was so sad for me to watch him went through that. 😢 now everytime I watch videos and stuffs about Monsta X, I just cant imagine Minhyuk and I.M being not a member of it. And everytime I see them smile and hear them laugh and just witness their love for each other, the friendship they built and the family they see when they are together just melted my heart. They all deserve the blessings they have been receiving. Now my Love for Monsta X just grew bigger and bigger. I just love how humble and kind they all are. 😢 And I Miss Wonho each day that passes by. And after watching the show, it breaks my heart more on how Wonho coped up with and survived for his dream, and in just a snap starship took him out. I just hope we will see OT7 soonest. I- i had no words for the No. Mercy clips on each members, I was so disappointed and felt so bad for I.M especially bc he WASNT at fault and it wasn’t his fault like I- my soul felt crushed 😔💔😭 but I’m glad they love him now ig cause him being alone just- 💔😞😔 and that clip where that guy said “say something nice about changkyun” that also broke my heart bc that showed me fake ness and I wasn’t having it but that’s all in the past now and I love how at No. Mercy Changkyun understood them on how they couldn’t be nice to him and not talk to him and accept him. When I watched No Mercy it caused me to have this special spot for Changkyun in my heart and the amount of care I have for this guy isn’t normal. I might care more for him than my own family 💀
Honestly, NO.Mercy reminds me of another Meet produced survival show MyDOL, where VIXX eventually debuted from it. In that show Hyuk plus another trainee was added to the show and didn't exactly get a warm welcome when the others saw them at the shared dorm.
It hurt me so much to see No.Mercy because I saw him when I already knew Monsta X It was painful to see the rejection of the six by Changkyun, even if he already knew that they loved each other today even as long as he did see the face of the maknae all sad and lonely. But he is currently the most caring and consensual member of the group.

i just finished watching no mercy and i felt so awful for kyun i think i cried the whole of episode 8. i understand why the boys felt like they did and i think it’s so so cruel of the producers and management to do what they did but i’m so happy they opened up to him quickly and realised how incredible the is, watching this helped me not feel as sad anymore 🥺

Just like the part where Jooheon and Changkyun were in the studio, just sitting there, it was obviously staged and guided, so that the show could have some sort of drama.

for an I.M stan, his no. mercy days videos are the least videos I would like to watch. It's hard for me to watch him suffering and looking rlly exhausted. He's my ult baby in kpop, the most precious and my treasure baby. Ok so Wonho was my bias but I love Monsta x sm. They're like in my top 5 favorite kpop groups, I started to stan them like 2 years ago and when I decided to watch no mercy, I didn't watch anything that had to do with them for like a month after because even though I know they love each other now it was so hard to watch and I cried so much watching it. I didn't hate them or anything it just made me feel so bad for I.M. and even though it was understandable why they treated him like that and how they didn't pretend and told him straight up, I still felt just like empathetic and it hurt me seeing them hurt. I'm so glad that now they're one big family!

But i learned to love changkyun the more I get to know him, he's such a charmer and a really weird but in a funny way guy. He's now my 2nd bias next to jooheon❤️

To be honest.... No Mercy is one of the hardest for me to rewatch... I avoided it as much as possible because it just hurts. But no matter what I do to avoid it, it’s already in the past. The members have great a friendship and they have moved forward and over the barrier they had during the show. Seeing how they all became close also made me accept the past and move over it. I’m really thankful of the bond they have now and I know that the boys care for each other. I know they will stay together as 7...

I hope people realize that No Mercy was most likely edited to make the other contestants' reactions to Changkyun as harsh as possible. We only got to see a portion of their words and their feelings -- the parts that would cause the most drama and evoke the most emotion and earn the most views.

As someone who hasn’t watched No Mercy I knew that IM had a very difficult time, but not like this. To think that Jooheon actually used the word “hating” and saying that it’s basically all he could do made me think that they’ve all come a long way
Despite that, honey was actually the first to start accepting him in no mercy. And when they were selected to debut, he was the only one who actually hugged im. (I could be wrong but that's what I remember anyways )

Jooheon lost his bestfriend after changkyun came. They promised they'll debut together but Gunhee was eliminated. They really had a tough time, they eat together, practice together, dream to debut together since their trainee days. They thought all of them will debut as 1 group but all of a sudden they were put in this show making them suffer and lost their friends. No mercy is really cruel, I don't even want to watch it again. 💔

Poor IM when they first introduced him as the new trainee - he looked so apprehensive, nervous, scared and tired! I'm so glad he worked himself into Monsta X's hearts and has now become a vital beloved fellow member. It was so sad seeing him so down even when he won the No Mercy contest. That should have been one of his happiest moments but he was feeling so guilty for winning.

I really can't stand survivals for this reason: they create too much tension between the members and put them one against another, it gives me a lot of anxiety because-even though they'll eventually grow close-it's tiring to see them so pressed because they're not thinking of each other as future band mates, but as rivals.
I know I’m late but when watching shows like that you just have to remember that it is reality tv so sometimes drama and emotions are made to look more extreme for the cameras, but I agree survivals are my least favorite way for groups to form
In this case I think the production team should be blamed or questioned because they brought him in the middle of the show it wasn't HIS fault but I can feel the other members pain too....

I just finished watching No Mercy and this video really helped me to calm down a bit. As I.M my bias I just can't help but think about how hard it was for him. And the fact that till this day ppl saying it's unfair. When it's absolutely not. The other two rappers beat the 1st one and he beat those other two. So whether he was from beginning or not he earned the place by talent. I hope people realise that. He deserves all the love in the world.

I've always thought that the hyungs now shower I.M. with so much affection because they always felt bad about how they first treated him in 'No Mercy' - especially after they saw how hard I.M. works and cares for them (in between being so savage haha).
He handled it incredibly well. It’s easy to forget he was still a teenager when all of this went down and despite none of it being his fault he was empathetic about how the others were feeling and wasn’t bitter about the way they were acting even though he really did have the right to be. He was patient and he let them see the real him slowly and they accepted him eventually. I have so much respect for how gracefully he dealt with the terrible situation he was put in by the producers when he was only 18

The boys have been through alot. They were a group before MONSTAX, called NU BOYZ. They promoted with GUN, who was eliminated when I.M came in. I was a fan of them, when they were NU BOYZ, so I understand their anger. Not towards I.M, but towards Starship. GUN had already debut, when they put the group into No Mercy, so he was torn from the group, Hoonie's friend, since childhood, promised to debut together, to me Starship, gutted that friendship, just to make money. Dont blame the boys, you have to see it from their point of view, they were really hurt. Putting I.M in that situation was wrong of the company, how much hardship, they had to go through, to reach their brotherhood they now have, was alot.

I just took the courage to watch the 10 episodes yesterday. And I understood why they acted that way but I was fuming mad at the producers of the show, why do they have to put I.M in that situation where everyone named him as the boy who came mid-through. It was surely a tough journey and battle for him and I just cant hide my tears and the pain it brought me huhuhu. I.M had just his head down throughout the announcing of the chosen members. It was so sad for me to watch him went through that. 😢 now everytime I watch videos and stuffs about Monsta X, I just cant imagine Minhyuk and I.M being not a member of it. And everytime I see them smile and hear them laugh and just witness their love for each other, the friendship they built and the family they see when they are together just melted my heart. They all deserve the blessings they have been receiving. Now my Love for Monsta X just grew bigger and bigger. I just love how humble and kind they all are. 😢 And I Miss Wonho each day that passes by. And after watching the show, it breaks my heart more on how Wonho coped up with and survived for his dream, and in just a snap starship took him out. I just hope we will see OT7 soonest. Honestly, NO.Mercy reminds me of another Meet produced survival show MyDOL, where VIXX eventually debuted from it. In that show Hyuk plus another trainee was added to the show and didn't exactly get a warm welcome when the others saw them at the shared dorm.
